[HP] When the Sword Fairy traveled to Hogwarts
Chapter 8 Hagrid’s Arrival
As expected, the person who came was none other than Hagrid.
The already shaky door was knocked to the ground by him, making a loud bang, and the raised dust was blown everywhere by the wind.
There was a burly man standing at the door. His face was almost completely hidden by long, unkempt hair and a thick, tangled beard, but his eyes shone like black beetles beneath the hair.
Bai Lu calmly put away all the spells before he came in. Without the spell protection, the strong wind that rushed in with the wide-open door made Harry shiver.
There was another commotion behind him, and Uncle Vernon ran into the house with a gun in his hand, rolling and crawling, shouting sternly: "Stop! Don't come in, I have a gun!"
The giant ignored Uncle Vernon's stern and sinister warning. He hunched over and squeezed into the room with difficulty. His head just brushed the ceiling, standing like a pillar in front of the door.
He bent down to pick up the door panel and easily installed the door on the door frame. The sound of the storm outside finally subsided.
He turned and looked at everyone.
"Can you get me a cup of hot tea? It's not an easy trip like this." He strode to the sofa, where Dudley sat petrified.
"Hey, make some room, you big fool," said the giant.
Dudley screamed and ran and hid behind his mother. His mother was so frightened that she crouched behind Uncle Vernon and looked at the giant with a horrified expression.
The giant looked directly at Harry, "This is Harry!"
Harry looked up at his fierce, rough, faceless face, his beetle-like eyes narrowed, and a smile appeared.
"The last time I saw you, you were still a little baby." The giant said, "You look like your father, but your eyes are like your mother's."
After he finished speaking with emotion, he looked at Bai Lu again, as if he was afraid of scaring her, and said softly: "Oh, this is your cousin, you can tell just by looking at these eyes, is her name Lu Bai?" "
Obviously, the giant did not call Bai Lu by her name this time. She was used to it, so she only nodded to him and smiled politely in response.
But Harry was not. He corrected the giant's pronunciation very seriously, but the effect was not good. This pronunciation habit is difficult to correct.
A shrill scream from Uncle Vernon interrupted the two people who were still struggling with the pronunciation.
"I want you to leave immediately, sir!" He raised the gun in his hand and said, "You are breaking into a private house!"
"Oh, shut up, Dursley, you big fool." The giant was obviously disdainful of Dursley's behavior.
He snatched the gun from Dursley's hand across the sofa, poked it out slightly, tied it into a knot, and threw it into the corner of the room as if the gun was made of rubber.
Uncle Vernon let out another strange cry, as if a mouse had been stepped on.
"Anyway, Harry,"
After the giant threw the gun lightly, he turned his back to Mr. and Mrs. Vernon, turned around and said, "Happy birthday to you. I have something to give you. Some places may have been crushed by me, but the taste is still the same. of."
He took out a slightly flattened box from the inner pocket of his black coat and handed it to Harry, gesturing for him to open it.
Under the giant's expectant gaze, Harry opened it with trembling hands. Inside the box was a large, sticky chocolate cake with green sugar juice written on it: Happy Birthday Harry.
Harry looked up at the giant.
He originally wanted to thank him, but the words disappeared when he reached his lips. He blurted out: "Who are you?"
The giant chuckled, "Seriously, I haven't introduced myself to you yet. Rubeus Hagrid, Keykeeper and Gamekeeper of Hogwarts."
He stretched out a huge hand to hold Harry's entire arm, and nodded slightly to Bai Lu. She didn't know if it was her imagination, but she always felt that Hagrid seemed to regard her as something fragile that needed to be protected. He spoke softly to her.
"Oh, how's the tea?" Hagrid rubbed his hands and said to Dursley, "If there is tea, don't say no in front of people who are stronger than you, remember."
Seeing that the Dursleys were just looking at him warily and making no move, his eyes fell on the empty stove counter, with only crumpled packaging bags on it.
He snorted and bent towards the fireplace. Bai Lu saw him use the pink umbrella he carried with him to lightly tap the dry wood pile, and then the blazing fire started.
This was the first time Bai Lu saw someone perform magic. There was no spiritual power fluctuation around him, as if he could ignite a fire with just a thought.
From the perspective of cultivating immortals, this is very unusual. The Dharma is achieved when the heart is moved. This is something that can only be achieved by reaching the highest level of cultivation. However, with the concentration of spiritual energy in this world, this is impossible.
Maybe, next time she can use the Eye of Delusion to investigate. She is very interested in the power system of the magical world.
The firelight flickered in the damp wooden house, and Harry felt warm all over, as if he had jumped into a hot pool.
Hagrid sat back on the sofa, his heavy body causing the sofa to collapse. He began to pull out various objects from his coat pockets: a copper kettle, a packet of squashed sausages, a poker, a teapot, several large chipped cups, and a bottle of amber liquid.
He took a swig of the liquid and then started making tea. The hut was immediately filled with the aroma and sizzling sound of grilled sausages.
No one said a word while Hagrid was busy. But when he took the first batch of six thick, greasy, slightly burnt sausages off the poker, Dudley couldn't sit still.
Uncle Vernon snapped, "Dudley, don't touch anything he gives you."
Hegra lowered her face and smiled contemptuously.
"You idiot son doesn't need to put on any more weight, Dursley, don't worry."
He handed the sausages that exuded an alluring aroma to Harry and Bai Lu respectively. Although Harry had eaten something, he was still hungry. After taking the sausages, he didn't bother to heat them and ate them while blowing on them.
Bai Lu was more polite. She thanked her and ate in small bites.
After Harry finished eating, Hagrid smiled and gave another one. He blushed and said "thank you" before devouring it again.
Although the sausage was delicious, he couldn't take his eyes off the giant.
Finally, he saw that no one would come forward to give any explanation, so he asked: "I'm sorry, but I really still don't know who you are?"
The giant took a swig of tea and wiped his mouth with the back of his hand.
"Just call me Hagrid," he said, "that's what everyone calls me. I just told you, I'm the keeper of the keys to Hogwarts - of course, you should know about Hogwarts, right?"
"Well..." Harry glanced at Bai Lu and said hesitantly, "I don't know about this."
Hagrid looked surprised, as if he had no idea how incredible Hogwarts was.
"I'm sorry." Harry said quickly.
"Sorry?" Hagrid yelled, turning his head to glare at the Dursleys, who were so frightened that they hid in the dark, "They should be the ones saying sorry! I know you didn't receive those letters, but I absolutely Never thought you didn't know about Hogwarts. Oh my gosh! Have you never wondered where your parents learned all that?"
"Everything?" Harry was confused, but he felt that he was finally going to know the truth, and he was inexplicably excited.
"What the hell?" Hagrid shouted, "Wait a minute!"
He jumped up, furious, and it seemed like the entire hut was filled with his huge body. The Dursleys were so scared that they were trembling against the wall.
"You mean to tell me," he growled at the Dursleys, "that this child, this child! knows nothing about...?"
Harry felt that he was going too far. After all, he had gone to school and his grades were not bad.
"I know a few things," Harry said. "Like, I can do arithmetic and stuff like that."
But Hagrid waved his hand at him and said: "I mean, know our world. Your and Ruby's world, my world. Your parents' world."
"What world?"
Hagrid looked like he was about to explode. "Dursley!" he yelled.
Uncle Vernon turned pale and muttered something under his breath.
After learning that Harry didn't even know about his parents, Hagrid exploded completely. He glared at Dursley, who was still shouting that he was not allowed to tell Harry the truth, and solemnly told Harry: "You are a wizard. , of course, so is Lu Bai."
There was silence in the hut, only the roar of the waves and the howling of the wind could be heard.
"What am I?" Harry gasped.
"A wizard, of course," Hagrid said, sitting back on the sofa, which creaked even louder.
"I believe that as long as you train for a period of time, you will become an excellent wizard. With parents like that, how can you not be a wizard? I think it is time for you to read this letter."
Hagrid took out two letters from his pocket and handed them to Harry and Bai Lu respectively.
Harry finally got the letter he had been longing for. After reading it carefully, he felt a little dazed.
Afterwards, Hagrid, who was a bit fussy, wrote a letter to Dumbledore at Harry's reminder, and then told him in detail about him and his parents, as well as the rumors about the mysterious man.
Bai Lu listened quietly. Uncle Vernon tried to interrupt Hagrid many times, but obviously, no one cared about what he said, and Harry finally knew all the truth.
Uncle Vernon broke the rules and firmly opposed letting Harry and Bai Lu go to Hogwarts, and even insulted Dumbledore angrily.
This completely angered Hagrid. He warned Dursley with a ferocious expression, and then he waved his umbrella in the air and pointed it directly at Dursley.
Suddenly there was a violet flash, a sound like a firecracker, and a scream, and then Dursley covered his fat butt with both hands, jumping in pain and screaming.
As he turned his back to them, Harry saw a curly pig's tail sticking out of a hole in his trousers.
Uncle Vernon ignored the pain and roared as he dragged Aunt Petunia and Dudley towards another room. He gave Hagrid one last threatening look and slammed the door behind him.
Hagrid looked down at the umbrella, smoothed his beard, and winked at Harry and Bai Lu, "If possible, I would like to ask you to keep it a secret for me. Regarding the magic I just used, strictly speaking, in Outside of school, I can't use magic."
It was just a small thing, so they naturally agreed quickly.
Before they could ask why, Hagrid took off his black tweed coat and threw it to them, "It's too late. We have a lot to do tomorrow. Let's go to bed early."
The coat was large, and it was more than enough to cover the two of them. Everything tonight was too impactful for Harry. He needed some time to calm down. Maybe sleeping would be a good way to do it.
After he whispered good night to Bai Lu, he couldn't resist the heavy sleepiness and fell into a deep sleep.
