Holy Light Professor at Hogwarts
Chapter 12 Playing with the Mage’s Heart
Early the next morning, Kirk woke up just after dawn.
The Dursleys had returned to the attic on the second floor, and little Harry was wrapped in Hagrid's black tweed coat, sleeping soundly. Not even Hagrid's snoring could wake him up.
Kirk quietly opened the door and walked outside.
The storm has stopped, but the chill in the air has not dissipated. Standing on the rocks and looking at the sea, closing his eyes and taking a few deep breaths of fresh air, Kirk felt that his whole body felt much lighter.
Opening his eyes again, Kirk found that among the azure blue and gray-black tones in front of him, a touch of red appeared out of thin air, floating in front of him from far to near.
"A feather?"
Kirk was a little surprised. This feather was full of color, as long as two palms, and looked very familiar, as if... it just fell off Mr. Dumbledore's ugly bird.
He stretched out his hand and let the feather fall into his palm, but as soon as his skin felt the soft touch, Kirk felt a distortion in the space around him, as if he was in a twisted void again.
But this feeling only lasted for a moment. The next moment, the space around him stabilized, and Kirk found that he was no longer the sea in front of him, and no longer a dilapidated hut behind him, but was in a forest, with insects and birds chirping from time to time.
where is this?
Kirk was confused in his heart, "good luck" had appeared in his hands, and he was extremely vigilant.
At this time, there was a slight illusion not far away in front of Kirk, and Dumbledore's figure appeared out of thin air like ripples of water; Kirk was not surprised, after all, this was a common method used by mages.
After breathing a sigh of relief, Kirk lowered his staff and asked, "Mr. Dumbledore, where is this?"
Dumbledore walked over quickly, pointed his wand at his chest, and said a series of addresses: "Hampshire, Invergordon Highlands, west side of Cribbey Peak, Alastor Cottage."
As soon as he finished speaking, the dense forest behind Dumbledore disappeared out of thin air and was replaced by a small wooden house.
The wooden house was smaller than Hagrid's hut. It had no yard or garden. There were only a few wine barrels stacked next to the house.
"Mr. Kirk, I discovered something that may be related to Voldemort." Dumbledore looked serious. It seemed that he really had business and was not here for an outing.
Dumbledore took Kirk towards the cabin and said, "I have stored some things in Gringotts, which is the goblin bank. That thing can be used to make elixirs; there have been many wizards in the past month. Asking about such things from goblins, I think..."
Kirk took up the topic: "Do you think this is Voldemort's minion, and Voldemort uses what you said as a life-saving straw for his comeback?"
Dumbledore nodded: "That's right, Mr. Kirk." As they spoke, the two of them had arrived in front of the house. Dumbledore pushed the door open and walked in, followed by Kirk.
The room was small and had few furnishings, but it was filled with the strong smell of wine. An old man with a wooden prosthetic leg was holding a silver flask and pouring wine into his mouth.
When he turned his head, Kirk finally saw his face clearly:
His hair was gray, every inch of skin on his face seemed scarred, his mouth was like a large, crooked gash, and the place where his nose should be raised was missing.
One of his eyes is small and black, while the other eye is large and a vivid bright blue, and it moves constantly without blinking, turning up and down, left and right, completely It has nothing to do with the normal eye; it seems... a prosthetic eye!
"This is my old friend, Alastor Moody, the best Auror in the British wizarding world." Dumbledore introduced Kirk, then turned his head: "This is the Mr. Kirk I'm talking about."
"Hello, Mr. Moody." Kirk greeted.
After hearing this, the old man put the wine bottle into his side pocket, then picked up an ugly crutch from the table, and walked to Kirk with a firm step: "Young man?!"
His voice sounded rough and deep.
Kirk didn't know what his words meant. He only saw his fake eye moving rapidly in its socket, as if scanning Kirk. After a moment, he spoke: "A very good disguise."
Kirk tapped his right wrist with his left hand to transform himself back into a Draenei, and then changed back again: "Your eyes are also very unusual, sir."
Kirk's praise came from the bottom of his heart, because his disguise pendant had deceived several great shamans, and this Mr. Moody only took a few glances at himself to know that he had disguised himself. Better than many people.
Moody saw Kirk's original appearance, and there was no emotion at all. He stood there, as calm as if he was carved from rotten wood.
Da da!
Moody poked the floor twice with his cane, and seven portraits suddenly appeared on the wall beside him. Each one painted a wizard. Although they all wore hoods, some facial features could still be seen clearly.
"Albus should have told you that in the past month, many wizards have inquired about the Philosopher's Stone through goblins." Moody tapped the portrait on the wall with his crutch: "Seven of them, yesterday, We ended up living in Knockturn Alley by accident.”
It turns out that calling something the Philosopher's Stone is perfunctory enough, but where is Knockturn Alley?
Before Kirk could ask, Dumbledore explained: "Knockturn Alley is near Gringotts."
Moody continued: "I don't know if their goal is the Sorcerer's Stone. It's not the best. If it is, then we need to find the person behind them!"
Kirk nodded, he knew what happened when Dumbledore came to him; however, he still had some questions:
"Since this is called...the Philosopher's Stone, so important, why should it be stored in the bank? Isn't it safer to put it in Hogwarts and keep it with you? Moreover, why would these people know that the Philosopher's Stone is stored in the bank? What? Shouldn’t it be completely confidential? Or? Oh..."
Kirk said "Oh" and changed his tone several times, because he felt that he had guessed the whole story - Mr. Dumbledore was not only a wizard, but also a fishing enthusiast, and that was probably the end of the day. It’s the day of pole.
Kirk didn't speak again. This kind of thing should be tacitly understood by everyone. There is no need to speak out to show off one's intelligence.
But there is still something Kirk didn't want to understand: "Mr. Dumbledore, they are just a few ordinary wizards. You can solve it yourself. Why did you ask me to come? Hagrid is planning to buy me a drink today." .”
"Remember yesterday when I said that I had another thing to entrust to Hagrid?" Dumbledore recalled with Kirk.
Kirk thought for a moment and nodded.
"The thing is to go to Gringotts to retrieve the Philosopher's Stone. If a strange wizard follows Hagrid, he might alert him."
The Dursleys had returned to the attic on the second floor, and little Harry was wrapped in Hagrid's black tweed coat, sleeping soundly. Not even Hagrid's snoring could wake him up.
