Chapter 860: An Ambiguous Reading

While Krum was secretly guessing what position Hermione would hold, Fanny, who had recovered from his shock, rubbed his hands together in embarrassment.

"Um...Victor, can I have your autograph?"

"no problem."

Fanny pulled out a cube of the same model as Hermione's from his suit pocket, and then took out a poster with various protective spells cast on it.

This is a limited edition poster officially released by the International Quidditch Association some time ago. Now it has been sold for hundreds of gold Galleons.

Fanny carefully unfolded it, and on it was a dynamic close-up photo of Krum catching the Golden Snitch in the first game of the semi-finals.

Krum took the quill he offered and signed his name at the spot next to him.

"Thank you, Victor." Fanny, who was overjoyed, put away the poster more carefully after expressing his gratitude.

Not only is it limited edition, it's also autographed.

Not to mention thousands of gold galleons, he might not be willing to sell it even if it was tens of thousands.

Krum looked at the poster he treated like a family heirloom and suddenly remembered his agent's recent instructions.

As the finals approached, the top eight teams became the hottest topic in the wizarding world.

The Bulgarian team is not weak to begin with, and is one of the teams with the greatest hope of winning the championship. Krum even has a chance to win the title of the world's number one seeker. He will undoubtedly receive much more attention than other players.

Always pay attention to your image and words, this is one of the reminders from his agent.

As a public figure, his every word and action can have a huge impact.

Why does he win the support and popularity of the fans? Is it because of his ability?

No, strength is only part of it. What's more important is that the fans place their hopes on him.

And he will not disappoint their expectations and will definitely win the championship this time.

After Fanny put away the poster, he noticed that Krum's expression had become serious.

Uh… too enthusiastic and frightened?

In order to prevent him from having more psychological pressure, Fanni decided to talk about something relaxing.

"By the way, Viktor, I think we haven't introduced ourselves yet?"

Fanny pretended to straighten his suit and said, "My name is Fanny, the deputy director of security at Wayne Enterprises."

The title was quite intimidating, and Krum was stunned for a moment before he understood it.

The Security Department sounds high-sounding, but to put it bluntly it is just security.

He smiled politely and gracefully, "Hello, Fanny, nice to meet you."

After another warm handshake, he looked at Hermione beside him.

She took the initiative to extend her hand, "I'm Hermione, Hermione Granger, secretary to the chairman of Wayne Enterprises."

Krum shook her hand again and whispered her name, "Hermi... Hermi-on..."

Hermione looked a little embarrassed, "It's Hermione, HERMIONE, Hermione."

"Her-mi-one?" Krum didn't know if it was intentional or not, but he still mispronounced her name.

Hermione taught a few more times, but finally had no choice but to give up.

She gave an awkward but polite smile, "Mr. Krum, you seem to have trouble distinguishing vowels from consonants."

"Sorry..." Krum felt a little guilty, "I didn't mean it."

Hermione smiled bitterly, "When you pronounce my name like that, it sounds like there's some ambiguity."

She shook her head helplessly. "Forget it, Mr. Krum. You probably don't call me by my name either."

Krum seemed even more guilty. "H-Miss Granger, thank you for your understanding."

He is Bulgarian, so it's normal for him to have trouble distinguishing between vowels and consonants in English.

It's just that his reading is indeed ambiguous.

Hermione

Her-mi-one

Her-my-own

Don’t have any other intentions!

But Hermione had just met him, and Fanny had her own filter around him, so neither of them could detect his true thoughts.

The three of them chatted casually for a while, and Bo Ye, who was concentrating on deciphering the design drawings, suddenly screamed and then pounced onto the lawn.

The thin little card he threw into the air emitted a dazzling light, and then sprayed out small flames one after another.

Even though the distance was a bit far, Krum hurriedly stood in front of Hermione.

He looked at the small card that had fallen on the lawn and seemed to have completely stopped firing, and turned back uncertainly, "This thing shouldn't spit fire out again, right?"

"Definitely not." Fanni shook his head, then stepped forward and kicked Bo Ye who was lying on the lawn, "Still pretending to be dead, did you buy your certificate?"

Bo Ye stood up in a flash, "Fatty, you know the chairman's character. If his things could be easily untied, they would have become commonplace long ago."

Apart from Gwent, which has no technical threshold, nothing produced by Wayne Enterprises has been completely cracked.

Fanny ignored him and pulled out his wand to pull the small card over.

It certainly won't break if it falls, but you will need to decrypt it from scratch.

Bo Ye snatched the small card and sat down on the lawn, "Fatty, go away and don't bother me."

"You stupid Di--" Fanni quickly shut his mouth, turned around and went back silently.

Seeing that this was just a confidentiality measure, Krum finally felt relieved.

Hermione looked apologetic, "I'm sorry, Mr. Krum, for making you worry."

"No... no need." Krum smiled shyly, "As long as you're okay."

His reaction was normal, and Hermione didn't think too much about it.

Fanni came back and briefly explained the situation. She raised her wrist to check the time on the magic communicator.

The first failed decryption took more than ten minutes. At this rate, it would probably take until the evening.

Taking into account the time required for maintenance, it will probably take until evening at the earliest.

She looked at Krum and apologized to him again, "I'm really sorry. I hope this little accident won't affect your good mood today."

Krum shook his head repeatedly. "Of course not, H-Miss Granger, you also said it was a small accident, so of course I won't take it to heart."

Hermione smiled and nodded, "Thank you very much for your understanding, Mr. Krum."

Then she looked at Fanny, "I have to go back to the Ministry. I'll leave this place to you."

When Krum heard that she was going back, his eyes suddenly dimmed.

He hesitantly called out to Hermione, looking at her expectantly, "Miss Granger, will you come to the game in three days?"

Hermione turned around in confusion, "It depends on the situation, but I will be here the whole day, so I should have time to watch the game."

Krum's mouth corners lifted up greatly, "That's great, I will definitely behave well then."

Hermione was even more confused, "Come on, Mr. Krum."

She gave him a strange look, then turned and walked towards the gym exit.

Krum didn't look away until her back disappeared.

Fanni squinted at him and seemed to have noticed something was wrong.

We've only just met for a short time, why are you concerned about whether he or she will come to watch the game?

It should just be a polite inquiry.

Fanni didn't think much about it and turned around to look at Boyi who was still concentrating on deciphering the code.

His face was filled with a warm smile. "Victor, you came here to observe the competition venue in advance, right? If you don't mind, I can be your guide."

Krum, in a good mood, did not refuse his kindness and expressed his gratitude to him.

Being able to get close to top stars is the biggest wish of many fans in their lifetime.
