Chapter 904 Welcome Home, Regulus

Harry and Sirius served as referees again, and this time the result was somewhat unexpected.

The speed at which Vincent and Dumbledore repaired the wall and ceiling respectively was almost the same, and in the end the two of them finished the repairs almost at the same time.

"Professor, you didn't use your full strength?"

Dumbledore continued to smile.

Vincent stared at the old wand in his hand.

Since it is a competition, fairness must be ensured.

There is definitely some slacking. Given the age difference between the two sides, their magic levels cannot be exactly the same.

The reason for the draw was probably because Dumbledore deliberately kept his magic at the same level as Vincent's.

Regardless of whether the legend of the Deathly Hallows is true or not, the Elder Wand has always been the strongest amplification force on magic.

The power of the Twin Serpents Staff was already high to begin with, and after the secondary power enhancement from the locket, it was almost as powerful as the Elder Wand.

After Vincent figured it out, he suddenly felt the locket in his hand was heavy.

The magic amplification is the same as that of the Elder Wand. Any wizard would find it hard to resist this temptation.

The locket is the relic of Salazar Slytherin and a family heirloom passed down from generation to generation in the Gaunt family. When combined with the caduceus, it can greatly enhance the magical power of the holder.

But it doesn't seem to be a problem to just keep it for myself.

The snakewood used by Vincent to make the double-snake staff was taken from the snakewood tree at the entrance of Ilvermorny School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, and the basilisk horn of the staff core was taken from the thousand-year-old basilisk Jormungandr, both of which have a close connection with Salazar Slytherin.

Moreover, Voldemort is the only descendant of the Slytherin and Gaunt families. He already has another heirloom, the Resurrection Stone, so it should be natural to add another locket, right?

No...that's not right.

To him, the Resurrection Stone is just a stone of a special shape, which was given to him for safekeeping to prevent others from being immersed in the past.

The locket is completely different. Even though it can greatly enhance magical power, even though there is a connection between the two caduceus, and even though Vincent is qualified to use it, it does not mean that he is qualified to own it.

No one who gets lost in power has a good ending.

Grindelwald has paid a heavy price for this, and Voldemort is also paying the price.

Vincent took a deep breath, and after a brief hesitation, handed the locket to Dumbledore.

"Professor, this thing does not belong to me."

There was no hesitation in his expression, and no lingering look in his eyes.

This was particularly surprising to both Sirius and Harry.

Dumbledore was also a little surprised, but he felt more relieved.

He was lost for a time in his youth and eventually made a big mistake.

Even if you find your way back later, what you lost can never be recovered.

But Vincent explicitly rejected the locket and the power that was within his reach.

"If..." Dumbledore smiled and shook his head, picking up the locket handed to him, "Your choice is right, and so is his choice."

Vincent relaxed and chuckled, "In order to prove his vision, I threw away a great treasure."

"You still have time to regret it now."

"No, if he knew about this, he would come all the way here to give me a beating."

Sirius and Harry were confused, but neither of them asked who this "he" was.

The Horcrux has been successfully dealt with, and now there is only one last thing left.

The four of them reached the stairs and took a few steps when they heard a woman crying.

Sirius walked quickly towards Mrs. Black's portrait with an impatient look on his face.

When he saw Kreacher in front of the portrait sobbing quietly, he immediately understood what was happening here.

The stunning spell he had just cast looked very powerful, but its actual power was not that great.

Mrs. Black fainted because she was angry, otherwise the stunning spell cast with full strength would definitely make her faint instantly.

"Oh my poor Regulus..."

Sirius didn't even look at her, walking straight past the portrait and Kreacher.

Mrs. Black stopped crying and saw him walk over, pick up Regulus and walk back.

"you you……"

Sirius didn't look at her either.

"Where are you taking your brother..."

He turned around only to hear Mrs. Black's calm voice.

"It's none of your business where I take him. I'm the one in charge of the household now."

Mrs. Black's anger rose immediately, "You rebellious son! Get out of here right now!"

Sirius snorted with disdain, "You couldn't control me when you were alive, so why would I listen to you now?"

"Get out! Now! Right now! Get out!"

"Do you think I'm willing to stay here? If it weren't for bringing Regulus home, I wouldn't bother to come back to this damn place."

With that, Sirius walked quickly towards the stairs.

"You...you..." Mrs. Black stared at his back fiercely.

"Mistress..." Kreacher asked weakly, "Kreacher, Kreacher wants to go up..."

"Go if you want to." Mrs. Black suddenly thought of something and immediately changed her words: "No, you should go with me and keep an eye on them. Don't let my rebellious son take anything from the house."

Kreacher quickly bowed and saluted, "Yes, mistress, Kreacher will keep a close eye on Master Sirius."

It snapped its fingers lightly, then appeared on the stairs on the third floor.

Sirius, who was at the front, glanced at it.

He said nothing and continued walking upstairs.

There are only two rooms on the top fifth floor of the Blake ancestral home, and they belong to the two young masters of the family.

There was a dusty sign hanging on the door opposite the stairs. Harry reached out and gently wiped it, revealing Sirius' name on it.

After nearly twenty years away from home, Mrs. Black still kept this room.

Sirius, who was at the front, stopped in front of another door.

There was also a sign hanging on the door. Not only was there not a speck of dust on it, it even looked particularly grand. It seemed that Kreacher cleaned it regularly.

Vincent and Harry looked at the sign from a distance, and then looked at each other in tacit understanding.

The handwritten letters and content on the sign reminded them of Percy at the same time.

"No entry without my permission. Regulus Arcturus Black."

Sirius gently opened the door and turned sideways to face the three before entering, "I think this will take quite a while. You can wait for me in my room."

"Okay." Harry responded, went back to the stairs, and opened the door impatiently.

Kreacher outside looked left and right, and finally chose to walk into Regulus' room.

The interior was cleaned very cleanly, with Slytherin green and silver everywhere. The Black family crest and the motto "Forever Pure" were carefully engraved on the head of the bed, and there were many yellowed newspaper clippings on the long desk next to it.

Sirius gently placed Regulus on the bed, "Welcome home, my good brother, Regulus."

Kreacher stood in the corner next to the door, a little timidly, "Master Sirius, Kreacher... Kreacher wants to change Master Regulus' clothes."

Sirius turned his back to it and nodded.

The black robe that was torn into rags by the Inferi was indeed too inappropriate. Regulus must have disliked it very much.

While Kreacher was opening the wardrobe to choose clothes, Sirius moved his eyes to the desk.

The clippings were pasted together into an irregular collage, all about Voldemort.

"This fool..." Sirius reached out and opened the upper drawer, which contained some remaining materials for making the locket.

In the bottom drawer was an old textbook, with a quill pen and an inkwell next to it.

He picked up the old textbook and found another book underneath it.

A magic book, a magic book that exudes an ominous aura, "Secrets of Cutting-Edge Black Magic".

Sirius saw a green snake-shaped label on the book, and he suppressed his discomfort and opened the book.

Just one glance and his expression turned extremely ugly.

Because the above content is the introduction and production method of Horcruxes.
