Chapter 6 Chapter 6: Black Lake

Standing outside the door were a girl with thick brown hair and the round-faced boy just now. "Did any of you see a toad? Neville lost a toad." Her tone seemed a little arrogant.

"No." Kahn said good-naturedly again.

Ron said: "We've told him, we didn't see it." But she ignored it and just looked at Ron's wand.

"Oh, are you doing magic? Then let's open our eyes."

"Oh, okay." Ron was a little at a loss.

"Daisies, sweet cream and sunshine,

Turn this silly fat mouse yellow. "

Nothing happened, the big fat gray mouse was still sleeping soundly on his lap.

"Are you sure this is a spell?" the girl asked, and then told them that she had tried a few simple spells at home and had memorized all the textbooks. This made Kahn look at her more seriously.

"My name is Hermione Granger, by the way, what are your names?" She glanced at Ron and Harry, then stayed on Kahn, "Oh my God..." She suddenly sighed.

"My name is Ron Weasley," Ron muttered.

"Harry Potter," Harry said.

Harry instantly caught her attention again. She said he had been mentioned in the book, which made Harry suddenly feel dizzy.

Hermione talked about some more things about the sorting, and finally reminded them that they had better put on their wizard uniforms first, and left as soon as the car arrived.

"No matter which house I'm in, I don't want to be with her." Ron said, "This spell is useless. George must have known it when he told me."

"Which house are your two brothers in?" Harry said.

"Gryffindor, my father and mother are also Gryffindors. If you ask me, there is nothing wrong with going to Ravenclaw, as long as I am not sorted into Slytherin House."

They chatted for a while about what Ron's two graduated brothers were doing now, and then started to get ready to change clothes. Because there was Kahn in the carriage, Harry and Ron went out first and left the box for Kahn to change clothes. After Kahn finished changing, they went in to change.

Just after finishing cleaning and closing the box door, the box was opened again in the next second. Kahn was already sure that he had chosen the wrong box. There would not be any box with more guests than this box.

"Is it true?" he asked. "Everyone on the train is talking about Harry Potter being in this compartment. So that's you, right?"

"Yes." Harry said.

After Kahn saw the three people who came in clearly, she couldn't help but sigh that the world is so small. She thought she would not see him again until they were sorted.

He obviously saw her too, "Novia, are you here too?"

Harry turned to look at Kahn and asked, "Do you know each other?"

Kahn nodded and answered Draco Malfoy first. Then he said to Harry: "I met him once in Diagon Alley."

"She is working hard to become my follower." Draco Malfoy said arrogantly.

"What?" Harry couldn't believe what he said and looked at him with some disgust. "Really? Kahn, why do you want to be his follower?"

It's too troublesome to explain. Could it be that she had to say in front of Draco Malfoy, "Hey, I was just joking out of boredom. Why did you take it seriously?" Do you think so? That would be too stupid, even though the current scene is not that smart.

"...because I like boys with slicked back hair. I think he is very handsome, so I like him." This is Kahn's true words, but I don't know how many people believe him.

Harry, Ron and even Draco were all stunned when they heard this and looked at her blankly. Draco Malfoy was the first to react and smiled proudly.

"This is Crabbe, and this is Goyle." He looked at Kahn and said, briefly introducing them to the two sturdy boys standing on one side behind them. Then he said to Harry: "My name is Malfoy, Draco Malfoy."

Ron coughed slightly to avoid laughing, and Draco Malfoy looked at him immediately.

"You think my name is ridiculous, don't you? No need to ask who you are. My father told me that the Weasleys all have red hair, are full of freckles, and have more children than they can afford."

Ron frowned and stared at him.

He turned to Harry and said:

"You'll soon find that some wizarding families are much better than others, Potter. You don't want to be friends with anyone who is different. I can help you with that."

He held out his hand to shake Harry's hand, but Harry ignored him. "I think I can tell who is different myself, thank you." Harry said coldly.

Draco Malfoy's pale face did not show much anger, just a faint blush.

"If I were you, Potter, I would be very careful." He said slowly. "You should be more polite, otherwise you will follow the same path as your parents. They don't know what to do. If you follow If you get mixed up with shady people like the Weasleys or Hagrid, you'll be affected."

"Can you say that again!"

"Oh, you want to fight, don't you?" Draco Malfoy said with a sneer.

"Unless you get out of here right now!" Harry said.

"But we have no intention of leaving, do we, boys? We ate all the food, and you seem to have some left here."

Kahn looked at him not knowing what to say, he was too childish. She reached out and grabbed Scabbers, the mouse that jumped out from the snack pile and was about to bite Goyle. Without stopping, she threw it back into Ron's arms.

Malfoy backed away because of the sudden appearance of the mouse. After seeing Kahn catch the damn mouse, he coughed slightly and said to her: "Well done Novia, I forgive you for staying with Potter." It’s a private room, after all, you don’t know what kind of people they are before you come in.”

"...Thank you." Hearing her thanks, Harry and Ron both looked betrayed.

"Novia, let's go." Drake was afraid that there might be other mice hidden in the snacks, so he was about to leave with his two fat little brothers. He didn't forget to call Kahn, "Do you still want to talk to Bo?" Do you want them to stay together? I advise you not to, it will make it difficult for you to breathe."

Seeing the unhappy expressions of the two people in front of her and the urging of Draco Malfoy behind her, Kahn kept her face paralyzed and thought about why things were like this, "I need to go to the toilet first." After that, she walked away. The son passed Draco Malfoy and ran to the front car first, opened a box door and walked in.

As soon as she turned around and closed the door, she heard the cheerful voices of the twins coming from behind.

"Wow! Look who this is?"

"A lost first grade doll!"

"Why are you here? Are you uncomfortable staying here with Ron?"

"Or do you prefer playing with seniors?"

After hearing this breathtaking series of questions, Kahn knew who they were. "No, I'm not lost, I'm just here to avoid it." She said seriously.

George: "What did you do?"

Fred: "Need to escape here for safety?"

Kahn told them something about what happened there, and they burst into laughter after listening. The atmosphere here was much more comfortable than there, so Kahn simply stayed here until the train arrived at the station.

When the train arrived at the station, they were leaving in batches. The unusually tall man named Hagrid shouted: "First years! First years come here! Harry, come here, how are you?"

When Kahn walked near Hagrid, he met Draco Malfoy again. He couldn't escape now. He grabbed Kahn and said, "Where did you go? You went to the toilet for so long, did you fall?" Are you inside? Don't run around, be careful not to fall behind."

"Okay." She could only follow Draco Malfoy, with Goyle standing behind her.

They followed Hagrid, sliding and stumbling for a long time before finally completing the narrow path. At its end a black lake suddenly opened up. On the high hillside on the other side of the lake stands a majestic castle with towering spiers and windows twinkling under the stars.

"Is that Hogwarts? The school is actually a castle, cool!" Kahn said to Draco.

"You are too ignorant, don't act like you have never seen the world, but this time I agree, Hogwarts is indeed cool." He said.

Kahn ignored him and let him say whatever he said. Anyway, she had never seen this scene.

"No more than four people in each boat!" Hagrid said, pointing to a pair of small boats on the lake.

There were exactly four of Kahn, Draco, Goyle, and Crabbe. The boat rowed across the calm lake. Everyone watched Hogwarts getting closer and closer quietly, and no one spoke.

Until they got ashore, Hagrid knocked on the castle door and handed them over to Professor McGonagall who was waiting behind the door. Kahn thought with some disrespect in his heart that she looked a bit like a cat that was not easy to mess with.

"Thank you, Hagrid. I'll pick you up when you get here."

Professor McGonagall took them through a huge hall and led them to a small empty room. Everyone crowded in and looked at everything around them nervously. Drake also leaned towards Kahn again, and Kahn even smelled the faint scent of perfume on him. How could he live so exquisitely?

Professor McGonagall explained the branching and the four colleges, and told them that the branching ceremony would be witnessed in front of the entire school. Let them take advantage of these few minutes to tidy themselves up and feel refreshed.

"I'll pick you up when it's ready over there," said Professor McGonagall. "Please keep quiet while you wait."

As soon as Professor McGonagall left, the children began to communicate quietly. and tidying up his clothes.

"You look very good. There is no room to tidy up. What kind of perfume are you wearing?" Kahn approached him and asked softly.

"..." He hesitantly looked at Kahn who was too close, and imitated her and whispered: "Lemon balm scent."

"Yeah, it smells good." She nodded, straightened her body again, and stood obediently as if nothing had happened.

"?Thank you." Draco Malfoy was a little confused. Why, does she also want a bottle of perfume with this smell?

Suddenly there was a loud scream from the crowd. After hearing it, Draco Malfoy raised his head and happened to meet the eyes of a ghost that passed through his body. He rolled his eyes and almost fainted. Fortunately, Kahn beside him helped him in time.

Just after the ghost came out and frightened the first-year students, Professor McGonagall came out. Kahn seriously suspected that this was a prank program for newcomers at Hogwarts.

Professor McGonagall is back, and the ghosts are drifting away.

"Now, line up in single file," Professor McGonagall said to the first years. "Follow me."
