A sharp Hogwarts
Chapter 42 Potions Lesson
Friday is a memorable day for all freshmen.
Because this marks the end of the first week at Hogwarts and the beginning of the full cycle of classes.
"Strange...why do I have to get up half an hour early today..."
In the Hogwarts Great Hall, Ron was putting sugar into his cereal, yawning and complaining to the side.
"There are two Potions classes this morning, um, with the Slytherin students." Harry said, "So we have to get to the Great Hall early."
"Percy said this when he pulled up the quilt in the morning, but I don't understand - what does Potions class have to do with getting up early...?"
"Look at the timetable - Harry, pass me the strawberry jam...thank you."
Dalia explained nonchalantly as she spread a thick layer of jam on a piece of bread.
"Although the Potions class is also two large classes held together, it is nearly four and 10 minutes longer than other classes."
"so what?"
"That means we're bound to miss lunch today—"
Hermione's voice suddenly broke in. She didn't look at Ron, her eyes were fixed on Dalia who was patiently applying jam.
"I read in the book that potions are very different from spells, transformations, and dark magic defense... Potions mainly studies the potions that will be produced after taking them."
"Well, it could also be for external use, or for inhalation, injection or something - Granger, we are not in class right now, so don't be so nervous."
Dalia glanced at Hermione helplessly, tore open the spread piece of bread in her hand, and handed it over casually.
"I suggest eating more high-calorie foods, in case of hypoglycemia, it will be terrible."
"I-I don't...you don't need to remind me! I know how to butter myself!"
Hermione was stunned, turned her head angrily, grabbed the knife and started playing with it.
"Uh-ok..."
Dalia shrugged, glared at Ron who was hesitant to speak, and put the bread on Harry's plate.
As the first week of classes came to an end, she seemed to have accidentally cranked up Hermione's competitive streak quite a bit.
Now, this little Miss Beaver wants to compete with her in almost everything...
Although it has not been successful so far, the closest one was in the Transfiguration class.
It seems that Hermione should have practiced at home in advance, but unfortunately, the kitchen knife has huge advantages in handling winter melon that the chef's knife does not have.
As for other aspects...
Regardless of question-solving ability, endorsement efficiency, or even hand-raising speed, Dalia has an almost overwhelming soul bonus.
"Oh, by the way, I heard them say before that Snape is the dean of Slytherin House. Everyone says that he is particularly partial to students in his own house."
At this moment, Seamus said worriedly, "Well, it would be great if Professor McGonagall could also be a little biased towards us -"
Professor McGonagall is the Head of Gryffindor House, but the ones she scolded the most in yesterday's Transfiguration class were the wizards of Gryffindor House. Each of them even had more after-school knife skills practice than other houses. A little bit more...
In addition, there are also scary class records and reading note assignments.
"Each professor expresses concern in a different way. As for rumors and so on - I prefer seeing to be believed anyway."
Dalia casually replied that Harry in this world line had previewed a lot in advance, but she didn't know if it would be useful.
