A sharp Hogwarts
Chapter 56 The Beginning
On the morning of the second week of the new term, Ron couldn't stop yawning while having breakfast in the auditorium.
He almost stayed up all night last night and kept looking for Banban. He even asked Dalia to help him search the girls' dormitory.
Percy, Harry, and the twin brothers also helped him find Mouse, but not to mention Scabbers, not even Mouse Fur was seen.
"Okay, Scabbers sometimes disappears for a while," Percy patted Ron's shoulder and consoled him, "Hogwarts Castle is so big, you can't expect it to just stay in your sight— I encountered a similar situation when I raised it before, and it won't be long before it pops up again from unexpected places."
"The prefect is right. If you don't believe me and Fred, you should always believe Percy -"
George said with a smile, scooping a large spoonful of mashed potatoes onto Ron's plate, "Actually, it would be better if it didn't come back. Dad might buy you a new pet."
"George!" Percy frowned and said with some dissatisfaction.
"Scabbers just eats and sleeps all day long, Ron, you said it yourself." Fred said.
"Aren't all pets like this? In fact, Banban is quite cute sometimes."
Ron said gloomily, staring in a daze at the bowl of goat's milk disappearing out of thin air at Dalia's feet.
That was Dalia's pet "Stinky Tofu". Now wherever Dalia goes, her little Thestral will follow her.
"Honestly, I think what George said makes some sense. It's right to be more mentally prepared for bad things—"
Dalia spread jam on a piece of bread and glanced at the head teacher's table.
Dumbledore and the four deans seemed particularly silent today, and everyone looked worried.
When she walked into the auditorium just now, she happened to meet Mr. Filch. Mr. Filch told Dalia that officials from the Ministry of Magic had been here last night.
Obviously, Peter Pettigrew has most likely been transferred to the Ministry of Magic and is awaiting the verdict of the Wizengamot Tribunal.
"Actually my suggestion is..."
Dalia pondered for a few seconds and whispered thoughtfully.
"If you haven't found Scabbers in a week, why not try writing a letter to Mr. Weasley—"
"Oh. Dad will kill me!" Ron shook his head in horror.
"Percy will probably write even if you don't - I think your father would rather see your letter."
Dalia analyzed rationally and glanced at Ron, "Facing difficulties head on, sometimes it's not as bad as you think, and besides, it's not your subjective fault."
Not surprisingly, Mr. and Mrs. Weasley should already know about Peter Pettigrew by this time.
If Dalia guessed correctly, they were discussing how to explain to the children. After all,
Of course, there may be no explanation at all. This mainly depends on the Ministry of Magic's propaganda caliber on the Peter Pettigrew incident.
"Yes, Ron, I can lend you Hedwig." Harry nodded, "Didn't you think of a name for your next pet? Give it a try."
"Just wait a week—wait and see after a week—"
Ron hesitated a few times and awkwardly stirred the mashed potatoes in front of him with a spoon.
"Maybe Banban will take a walk around and come back by himself then——"
…………
Ron's low mood didn't last long.
The new week of fun classes at Hogwarts soon made him forget about Scabbers for a while.
The course contents of the previous week were mostly introduction and standardization, but this week the practical operations began.
Strictly speaking, starting from this week, first-year students have officially started learning magic.
Or……
