A sharp Hogwarts

Chapter 63 Dalia’s Request

Hogwarts, Headmaster's Office.

Dumbledore's eyes were sunken, and the old wizard's usual calmness was gone.

He frowned and was thinking about some difficult things - such as how to deal with the prophecies that were coming one after another.

"Is this the end of Peter Pettigrew?"

Dalia put down the letter in her hand and snorted slightly dissatisfiedly.

There is a newspaper on the table, this morning's Daily Prophet.

In the corner of the last page, there was a brief piece of news with little sense of existence: the Ministry of Magic recently arrested a dark wizard who had been absconding for many years.

"Connelly and the Wizengamot wizarding court agreed that this was the best way to deal with it - Peter would get the punishment he deserved, but the stories of Voldemort and the hunt for the Death Eaters ended ten years ago. The Weasleys are innocent, and there is no need for us to reincarnate society in order to settle old issues."

"What about Sirius Black? I didn't see anything about him on there..."

"Sirius still has a hearing to attend," Dumbledore said, "but he has been transferred from Azkaban and is recuperating at St. Mungo's Hospital of Magic."

"Well, yes, when the time is right - the Ministry of Magic will hold a formal briefing to clear away the injustices Sirius has suffered over the years."

Dumbledore glanced at Dalia who was hesitant to speak, as if he guessed what she was about to say, and spoke softly.

"The truth will not disappear. But before we reveal the truth, we'd better try not to cause secondary harm, right?"

"Just don't involve me anyway - he is Harry's godfather anyway, not mine."

Dalia shrugged and looked at the strange little book in Dumbledore's hand.

It was a small, thin book with a tattered black and pink cover, which seemed incompatible with the layout of the principal's office.

From Dalia's point of view, she could just see the faded date table on the cover - it was obvious that this was an old diary.

"Tom Riddle's diary? Have you ever been to Malfoy Manor?"

"Yes." Dumbledore nodded.

When Dalia asked the question, Dumbledore lowered his head and stared at it, as if there was some terrible monster hidden in it.

"You should have found a way to detect it, right? The fragment of Tom's soul resides in a Horcrux."

Dumbledore looked solemn and nodded slightly, trying to suppress the excitement in his heart.

"Oh, for Merlin's sake, what are your predictions...?"

He had never seen such a "clear prophecy" that was accurate to the point of the event, as if returning from the future to the present. It even gave the old man a sense of fear and awe.

Dalia ignored Dumbledore's confusion and excitement. Some things were much better left unexplained than explained. With Dumbledore's experience, he would be able to come up with reasonable logic and explanations sooner or later. All she had to do now was to explain as much as possible. The dangerous plot in the future is nipped in the bud, and all remaining suspicions are insignificant in the face of these.

"Evil can never defeat justice. Maybe Voldemort's actions are so crazy that the world can't stand it anymore?"

Dalia explained casually, her eyes lingering on the cover of the diary, and she asked softly and thoughtfully.

"Do you have a way to destroy the soul hidden in the Horcrux without harming the body?"

"Maybe...maybe-"

Dumbledore stared at the diary in his hand and tried to keep his tone light.

"However, all attempts will have to be made at least beyond this term... Quirinus and Tom are in the castle now, and I'm afraid he will notice."

"And you also want to collect other Horcruxes, right? It's best to collect them all in one go and destroy them all together."

Dalia was counting with her fingers, like a capitalist counting her wealth, and her look was vaguely Mr. Dursley's.

"Hufflepuff's golden cup is hidden in the Lestrange family's vault in Gringotts, and Gaunt Marvolo's ring should still be in Gaunt's old house - be careful of the magic curse above, you' Death' passed there. The Slytherin locket is most likely in the Black Mansion. Regulus Black risked his life to steal it from Voldemort's magical defense. Ravenclaw 's crown, it should hang quietly on a plaster statue in the Room of Requirement, and then..."

Dalia paused, then cast her blue eyes on Dumbledore, and her voice suddenly became very soft, "...Harry, Voldemort's last Horcrux."

At this point in time, there are only six Horcruxes in theory - Orochi Nagini has not yet become the seventh Horcrux.

"We can destroy the first few Horcruxes with the fangs of the basilisk in the Chamber of Secrets, but Harry -"

"I'll find a way," Dumbledore said firmly.

The topic ended here. Dalia did not ask where Dumbledore's confidence was, nor was she interested in instructing him on how to search for Horcruxes.

Just like she wouldn't ask the old man how to get the diary from Malfoy, Gringotts Wizarding Bank, the Room of Requirement, the Black family's old house, Gaunt's old house...

It's up to Dumbledore to explore these places. As the most powerful and famous top wizard in the contemporary era, Dumbledore doesn't have to hide and sneak in at all - he can do it as openly as he did when he obtained Tom Riddle's diary. He walked into those places to find the Horcrux, and Dalia didn't have to worry about what happened next.

Anyway, the basilisk's fangs can destroy 100% of all Horcruxes. With the last resort, the rest is just an optimization plan.

Not surprisingly, Dumbledore may be able to complete the "treasure" journey that took Harry seven years before the end of this school year.

What Dalia has to consider now is her future magic studies - what kind of food she wants to cook.

While Dumbledore was looking at the diary in trance, Dalia's eyes lingered on the bookcases on both sides.

There are two "restricted book areas" in Hogwarts, one in the library downstairs and one here.

"Well, Miss Dursley...are you looking for any book?"

At this moment, Dumbledore suddenly asked.

The old man crossed his slender fingers and looked gently at Dalia who hurriedly looked back, with a kind smile on his face.

"I heard from Minerva that you have encountered some troubles in your magic learning. If there is anything I can do to help - as your divination fee?"

"Uh-well, actually-I have a little request."

Dalia glanced at Dumbledore's blue eyes, hesitated for a moment and then took out her kitchen knife from her waist.

Snapped.

The thick-backed single-edged kitchen knife was slapped on the table, in stark contrast to the Western-style kitchen knife not far away.

"This magic knife is a magic kitchen knife originating from the Eastern Kingdom, so——"
