Hogwarts Wizarding Journey

Chapter 19 The King and the Queen

"These birds... they can't be just for decoration," Hermione said.

"Shiny, not birds...they are all keys." Shelley looked down at the broomsticks in front of him.

"So many different keys, we need the right one!" Hermione thought.

"This door looks very old, so we need to find an equally antique key. It may be silver and shaped like a door handle." Shelley looked at the keyhole on the door: "This level tests observation. Abilities, and… broomsticks.”

"I guess in addition to Professor Flitwick, the flying teacher Professor Huo Qi also arranged this level."

"That makes sense, Hermione."

The two of them each chose a broomstick, flew into the sky, and searched among the keys.

"That one!" Hermione found the target.

"Let's block it!" Shelley flew in front of the key.

Hermione flew towards the key from the other side.

The silver key flew towards the top where there were many keys.

Hermione flew up quickly, Shelley following closely.

As a result, they almost bumped into each other.

After a lot of effort, Hermione luckily caught the key.

Shelley was chasing after her relentlessly, but the key fell into Hermione's hand.

"Is the magic taught by Professor Flitwick malfunctioning?"

"These keys cannot have their own consciousness. They just follow the magic to make fixed evasion methods. I just observed these carefully." Hermione explained.

"Then let's try."

They landed on the ground and tried to use the matching key to open the enchanted door.

"Successful!" Shelley and Hermione said at the same time.

They went to the next room.

It was dark inside and nothing could be seen. But as soon as they stepped in, the lights suddenly brightened in the room, illuminating a shocking scene.

They were standing next to a huge chessboard, with black chess pieces in front of them. The chess pieces were taller than them and were carved from what looked like black stone.

At the other end of the room, facing them, were some white chess pieces.

The towering white chess pieces have no facial features on their faces.

Hermione subconsciously grabbed Shelley's arm, looking a little scared.

She let go again and whispered, "What are we going to do?"

"Chess," Shelley replied.

"Are you going to replace two chess pieces?"

"It seems so, then... I will be the king and you will be the queen."

Hermione looked blushing.

Shelley smiled and said: "How about changing it again...you will be the king and I will be the queen...because the king is the last to die."

"They're not all a couple," Hermione muttered.

"What?" Shelley didn't hear clearly.

The chess pieces seemed to be listening to them. At this time, the king and queen turned around, facing away from the white chess pieces, and walked out of the chess board, leaving two empty seats for Shelley and Hermione.

They stood up and Shelley said seriously: "Don't worry, I will definitely win."

A white soldier moves forward two spaces.

Shelley commanded the black pieces with ease.

Every time their pieces were captured, the white pieces acted ruthlessly and mercilessly.

The chess pieces were broken one by one.

"This is too cruel!" Hermione said.

"There's nothing I can do." Shelley shrugged.

Time passed little by little.

"Okay, it's successful!" Shelley directed the black chess piece and smashed the white king into pieces. "Let's go to the next level."

"Nice chess game."

"Thank you for the compliment."

"Wait, let's put on the invisibility cloak first." Shelley grabbed Hermione.

"Well, be careful," Hermione replied.

There is a dangerous troll in the next level after all, Shelley thought.
