HP: What if a time traveler went to Hogwarts?

Chapter 67 Countdown (beginning of 7th grade)

The next time I saw Tom was on the platform of King's Cross Station. Of course, Shimeier had already spent a happy summer vacation at Caroline's house.

Although Tom was wearing a second-hand school robe, the Head Boy President badge was shining brightly on his chest.

He has become more mature and even his hairstyle has changed.

Shimeier stood on the train platform, looking at Tom who was standing on the steps across the crowd. It wasn't until the companion at the train door saw him not moving for a long time that he called "Riddle" before Tom turned and left.

Shimaier sighed again, "Shimaier" Caroline patted her back, "Although I don't know what happened between you and Riddle, there is no use in torturing yourself."

"I know," Shimael murmured, staring at his shoes. The gleaming Head Boy badge on Tom's chest flashed through his mind and he said, "Why aren't you the Head Girl?" Caroline was both academic and popular. Fortunately, Shimaier couldn't think of a reason not to choose Caroline.

"I don't know, but it doesn't matter to me. The president of the female student union is Cadillac from Hufflepuff." Caroline struggled to carry her luggage onto the train, because the pomelo on her luggage was fluttering restlessly. Wings, it is always so excited every time it comes to a crowded place.

Caroline and Shimaier were sitting in the prefect's box. Shimaier was still sitting in her old seat by the window, but the person next to her was replaced by Caroline. She held her head and looked at the reluctant parents and parents outside. Students, thinking that this was also the first time that I didn't go to Hogwarts in the same box as Tom.

Caroline seemed to see through Shimaier's thoughts and stroked Shimaier's back comfortingly. The person who replaced Tom as the seventh-grade prefect was Lestrange. Schimmel believed that this person was much smarter than Avery, at least he would not be a thorn in the side.

It's obvious who belongs to Tom's party in a box.

Shimaier also quietly observed the Rozier brothers and sisters. She was also curious about how the secrets passed down by the Rozier family from generation to generation were related to Albania, even though Shimaier knew the mystery of the Albanian forest.

There was a roar and the train started.

Shimeier closed her eyes and fell asleep. She wanted to find out how the secrets of the Rozier family could help Tom, but the ring on her finger reminded her all the time that she didn't have much time left.

Half asleep and half awake, Shimeier felt someone pushing him quietly. He raised his eyelids and saw that it was Caroline, and Tom was standing at the door.

Shimaier suddenly woke up - are you here to find yourself? she thought.

But the reality disappointed her. Tom came here just to explain the things that their prefects should pay attention to when starting school.

Shimaier became listless again. She had never known the student union president to give a speech before. If so, she would have found an excuse to sneak out of the carriage to avoid Tom.

After Tom finished his instructions, he left the prefect car without staying too long. Shimeier didn't want to stay here, so he and Caroline went to play with Alphard who was wandering alone outside.

After all, she doesn't belong here, she is just a prefect in name only.

After school started, everything remained the same, perhaps because of the pressure brought by preparing for the NEWTS exam. Shimaier arranged most of his time to study every day to enrich his life, even though he didn't know whether he could successfully take the NEWTS exam.

It wasn't until a month later after the History of Magic class that Professor Binns stopped Shimeier and Tom again, "Oh, can you two help me clean my office again? I remember asking you to come here to help before."

"Yes, Professor, but that was in the second year," Shimeier said, surprised that Professor Binns remembered things so early.

"Oh, it seems like just yesterday to me," Professor Binns joked, and it was obvious that he was in a good mood.

"Of course, professor" Tom spoke. Seeing that Tom didn't refuse or say anything, Shimaier even looked forward to it.

"Then let's do it tomorrow night. Come to my office tomorrow night and I believe you can do a good job." After Professor Binns said that, he floated away. I don't know if it was Shimaier's illusion, but he felt Professor Binns floating away. All with a hint of lightness.

"Would you like to go together tomorrow night?" Tom said. They hadn't spoken to each other for a long time, but Shimeier didn't feel unfamiliar in Tom's tone.

She thought for a while and said, "You must be very busy. I'll just meet you in Professor Binns' office then."

"I'm not busy." Tom's eyes stayed on Shimaier, and even he didn't realize that there was a kind of attachment in his eyes. "I always have time for you."

At this point, Shimaier had no reason to reject Tom or reject herself, but she still nodded with restraint, "Then the common room will be at seven o'clock tomorrow night."

Afraid that the curve of the corner of his mouth would be raised too much and cause the power to break, Shimaier almost ran out of the classroom at full speed and bumped into Caroline head-on.

"Ouch!" Caroline rubbed her forehead and said, "Why are you running in such a hurry!"

Without waiting for Shimaier to answer, Tom who came out from behind seemed to explain everything, but Tom didn't stay too long, smiled at them, nodded and left.

Just as Shimaier was about to explain to Caroline, Caroline put her index finger on Shimaier's lips, "Shh, no need to say more, I understand." An ambiguous smile appeared on her face.

"What do you know?" Alphard said from the side, and Shimaier realized that Alphard was also there.

Shimaier always felt that Alphard was concerned about what happened during the summer vacation. She didn't know if it was because of her tight nerves that she was a little nervous. She always had a faint uneasiness in her heart.

"Why are you here?" Shimaier asked, expressing his doubts.

"You are really a noble and forgetful person." Caroline took out a package from behind. "You forgot that on the train when school started, I told you that we would hide the secret of our friendship in Hogwarts, and wait for us later." Did you go back to school together and find them to share?"

Shimaier frowned and thought for a moment, it seemed that this was the case, but she was distracted at that time.

But she still pretended to suddenly remember and said "Oh!" "Of course I remember, but my things are in the common room."

"Go and get it! Then you can hide it in the castle by yourself. Alphard and I will hide it first!" After finishing speaking, Caroline also specifically said, "You are not allowed to follow us."

Shimaier covered his eyes and said, "Okay, but you don't want to hide together?"

"Guess" said Caroline and ran away with Alphard.

Shimare returned to her bedroom in the common room alone, thinking hard about what she could leave in Hogwarts as a memento of this friendship, even if it was meaningless because she couldn't come back with them to hunt for treasure.

But in the end Shimael decided to do it, because even though she was gone, she still wanted to leave some proof to Caroline and Alphard that she had existed.

Shimaier rummaged through her suitcase and found some unused thread from previous knitting scarves. She simply pulled out a piece of white cloth and threaded the thread through it casually with her hands.

The final effect is a cross stitch of a butterfly and a crow pulling a girl. Shimaier felt that this painting could become a spiritual totem for the three of them.

Shimael planned to hide it in the Room of Requirement. After all, the Room of Requirement had accumulated hundreds of things. An embroidery as big as a carpet would not attract attention.

Taking advantage of the night patrol, Shimael sneaked into the Room of Requirement quietly, found a place to put it inside, and turned around to see the Mirror of Erised, which was covered in rags.

As if by mistake, Shimaier put his hand on the rag, and it would be pulled off just by gently tugging on the rag.

In the end, Shimeier still didn't have the courage, and she didn't want to stay in the Room of Requirement because it held special memories of her and Tom, so she left in despair.

Shimeier barely listened to the lectures on the second day. All he could think about was going to clean Professor Binns' office with Tom in the evening.

Time passes the fastest when your mind is confused.

At seven o'clock in the evening, when Shimaier was sure that even one of his hairs would be perfect today, he opened the bedroom door and entered the common room hall.

It was rare that Tom was not crowded with his Death Eater friends. Shimeier thought that he probably didn't want the Death Eaters to find out that the two of them were now related.

The two of them were speechless along the way. In fact, Shimaier wanted to ask Tom if he still remembered those things in the second grade, but he was afraid that he was being pretentious and never took the most crucial step.

The two of them were walking side by side, with only their sleeves rubbing against each other.

After arriving at Professor Binns' office, he was not seen inside. Tom was the first to say, "You can rest."

Shimaier sat in the armchair silently. Remembering the corpse of Professor Binns lying here, he suddenly stood up and chose to squat by the stove to warm himself.

Tom waved his wand expressionlessly, "I sat on that chair together in the second grade. Why don't I sit down now? I think I'm not that annoying to you." He looked a little sad, and Shimeier couldn't help it. Moved, "So you still remember."

"Forever" Tom raised his thin lips and uttered the most touching words. Then he pulled Shimaier up from the ground and pressed him on the sofa, "Just rest here for a while."

Shimaier's eyelids began to twitch for some unknown reason. It seemed that the rest that Tom said meant rest, and his eyelids slowly closed.

When she woke up again, she found Tom leaning against the wall reading a book. The collection of books here seemed to be very useful to him.

Shimaier stretched and suddenly noticed a different temperature on the ring - it was cold.

It means that the ring has been taken off by someone.

Shimaier immediately turned his head and stared at Tom. He couldn't help but feel excited. Is Tom going to find out?

If Tom found out, she wouldn't have so much burden.

Tom felt Shimaier's eyes meet hers. There was nothing special in his eyes. "What's wrong?" Tom put away his book and walked towards her.

"It's okay." Shimaier couldn't help but feel depressed. It seemed that Tom didn't notice. So much so that Tom secretly hid the book he just read in his robe without any trace.

The office has been cleaned and it's time for them to leave.

When he was about to leave, Professor Binns floated back.

"Oh, you have finished cleaning. It's really good. Both people and ghosts need to have a comfortable environment." Professor Binns, who has always said few words, said so many things. Shimaier felt that he must have something to make him happy. As expected, Professor Binns continued, "I will hold a ghost dance on Halloween and invite you to attend."

Shimael was not interested in a dance party with a group of ghosts. He shuddered at the thought of walking through countless milky white ghosts. Just when he was about to refuse, he heard Tom say, "Thank you for the invitation, Professor, we will go."

Professor Binns nodded appreciatively, "Few people understand the charm of the Ghost Ball." After saying this, he happily floated to the armchair and lay down.

On the way back to the common room, Shimeier couldn't help but curiously asked, "Why did you agree to go to the professor?" She didn't believe that Tom had such strong taste or that attracting some ghosts would be of any help to him.

Tom didn't look at Shimeier, but he touched the book hidden in his robe and said, "It's nothing."

"There is a feeling in my heart that always makes me want to make more memories with you."
