The Godfather of American Comics
Chapter 28
In a quiet coffee shop in Manhattan.
A man with a severely receding hairline was quietly listening to the beautiful music in the coffee shop.
The gentle melody played by the violin seemed to bring back his past, making him fall into beautiful memories, and a beautiful figure involuntarily appeared in his mind.
It's a pity, but worth it.
Colson had a wry smile on his face and took a sip of coffee. The bitterness on his face suddenly became more obvious.
Just then, he saw a man walking towards him.
Looking at the face that was exactly the same as in the information, Coulson whispered: "The Godfather of Hell, Willer Hunter."
Before attempting this contact, they had done a lot of research and knew much more about Willer Hunter than anyone else.
The bitterness on his face disappeared quietly, and a smile full of kindness appeared on his face. After standing up, he waved to Weller who was walking towards him: "Here, Mr. Hunter."
Weller smiled politely and walked up to Colson.
When he entered the coffee shop, Weller immediately saw this SHIELD agent, the head of the novice village.
"Phil Coulson."
"Ville Hunter."
The two shook hands gently and sat down.
Weller ordered a cup of coffee and threw in a large amount of sugar while Coulson watched.
Coulson's mouth twitched.
You might as well just drink sweet water.
Coulson complained in his mind, and said: "Mr. Hunter, I am here to discuss a business deal with you on behalf of our director of SHIELD."
Under the twitching expression at the corner of Colson's mouth, Weller took a sip of sweet coffee, nodded with satisfaction, and said with a smile: "What ability do I have to discuss business with the Director of SHIELD?"
Seeing Colson looking at his cup, Weller pushed the sugar over: "Try it, it tastes better with more sugar."
"Forget it, it's too sweet."
Colson politely refused and said: "Mr. Hunter is joking, you are now known as the Godfather of Hell, and you are also a person who has mastered supernatural powers."
"So, what do you value more?"
Weller asked with a smile.
Coulson groaned: "Your personal power."
Weller raised his eyebrows: "So, this business has something to do with me personally?"
"Yes."
Coulson looked serious.
Weller pushed the coffee aside, smiled and said, "Continue."
"We'd like you to join S.H.I.E.L.D."
Coulson looked serious.
Weller nodded, also looking very serious: "Can I ask about salary?"
"what?"
Coulson was stunned for a moment. He didn't expect Weller's focus to be so... approachable.
He coughed lightly and said, "It should be quite a lot."
Weller's eyes lit up: "[-] million a month?"
"I think should not be."
A cold sweat appeared on Colson's head.
Weller frowned and said, "No, then I guess I can't join. This is my lowest standard."
He has to draw prizes, upgrade his skills, and solve Little Hope's problems. There are too many ways to spend money.
Colson's mouth twitched: "Although we cannot agree to this request, we can help you completely clear your criminal record with the police."
Weller: "So, in your eyes, I am a criminal?"
A hint of danger quietly appeared.
Coulson's heart seemed to skip a beat.
"Personally, I don't think Mr. Hunter is a pure criminal."
"Oh? What do you say?"
Weller was a little curious.
Coulson's views undoubtedly represent SHIELD's views on him, and even overlap with many superheroes' views on him.
Colson pondered and said slowly: "As far as I know, there have been some changes in Hell's Kitchen and it has become more regular, and it's all because of you."
"You think this is a good thing?"
Colson smiled and did not answer, but said: "I believe that with Mr. Hunter's efforts, it will become a good thing."
Weller was startled for a moment, looked deeply at the smiling man in front of him, and said, "Then who do you think I am?"
Faced with this question, Coulson was silent for a moment and then said: "I think you are a casual and passive person. Many of the choices you make are caused by the environment and other factors."
After a pause, he smiled slightly: "The most important thing is that you are a good father."
"Haha."
Weller laughed: "You are very good at talking."
Colson said seriously: "I just like to tell the truth."
"I really appreciate you more and more. Are you interested in working here? The treatment will be favorable."
"Well, I don't want it to be hung on the wall in the name of martyrdom the next day."
Coulson smiled bitterly.
Weller said with a half-smile: "Okay, then you can come to me when you can't survive."
As he spoke, he tapped his finger on the table: "Now let's get down to business. You should know that the condition you mentioned is not a bargaining chip for equal transactions at all."
Coulson said helplessly: "We didn't expect that Mr. Hunter could take down Hell's Kitchen in such a short period of time."
Weller can no longer be impressed by ordinary conditions.
However, judging from the current exchanges, he personally felt that they could still maintain a certain degree of contact with Weller.
What, the other party is a gangster?
They are still agents.
"Mr. Hunter, do you know about Tony Stark?"
"Of course, this is big news for big people."
Willer rubbed his chin: "The conditions for you to help me erase my criminal record are not because you want me to find him."
Coulson smiled.
Stark Industries is not an ordinary company. Let’s not talk about Tony Stark’s father’s relationship with SHIELD. Let’s just say that Stark Industries has always provided them with the most advanced weapons and is one of their best suppliers. One thing is worthy of their search.
Weller shrugged: "He has been missing for more than a month, maybe he has become cold."
"Then find his body, or evidence of his death."
"Okay." Weller smiled faintly: "Deal."
He originally wanted to go to the Middle East, save Tony Stark, and sell him a favor so that he could help solve little Hope's growth problems in the future.
Colson breathed a sigh of relief: "Thank you, Mr. Hunter."
"It's just a fair trade." Weller said with a slight smile, "I need an item that smells like Tony Stark."
Colson was a little curious, but his expression was calm.
"I'll deliver it in the afternoon."
"That's no problem, I'll leave tomorrow."
Weller smiled and raised his coffee cup: "It's a pleasure to work together."
Colson smiled gently and hurriedly raised it.
"Um, are you sure you don't want to add more sugar?"
Weller looked at Colson's coffee and frowned: "It's painful to look at."
"no need!"
"That's a pity."
A man with a severely receding hairline was quietly listening to the beautiful music in the coffee shop.
