Miss Elf Dragon

Chapter 7 Goddaughter (1)

Perotina returned to the Elf Forest with her father and the elves who came to find her.

After quietly signaling to her father that she wanted to tell him a secret, Perotina lay in Adonis's arms and pretended to sleep, lest other elves ask what happened. But she didn't want to pretend to fall asleep, and when she woke up, she found that she had returned to her own nest.

"Tell me what's going on."

Seeing that Perotina was awake, Adonis pulled a chair to her bedside and sat down, as if he was going to interrogate her.

"dad."

Seeing Adonis's serious look, Perotina knew that it was not that easy to fool, and even the sleepyheads ran away in fright. She shrank her neck and asked about the current situation first.

"I don't need to tell the queen and the high priest yet."

A large forest not far from the elven settlement was eroded by the shadow demon toxin, and the smell of the artifact was still lingering at the scene. If such a big thing happened, it was impossible for her as a witness not to give an explanation.

"I told them that you were young and frightened, and you felt a little bad for a while. When you recover, tell me everything, and I will relay it to them."

Adonis looked at Perotina with a half-smile, the naughty boy turned out to be a little naughty kid.

With an exaggerated sigh, Pelotina smiled flatteringly at her father: "You don't know that dad is the most powerful. Pelotina was really scared."

"Tell me what happened." Adonis was unmoved.

Although she was worried about the baby, if she didn't figure things out, the complicated follow-up would probably bring her more trouble. And this time Pelotina was indeed too bold.

"I wanted to find the Druids. My father never told me, so I was extremely curious, so I asked about their haunts and wanted to try my luck. Then I used a little trick and left the nursery one day early. Tang, took the path out again."

"The little plan is to lie to the teachers at the kindergarten. I don't know when you became so good at lying. Is it because of my teaching or because you are gifted?"

Adonis's merciless accusation was like a blow to the head, hurting Perotina's heart. She had never seen her father so prickly, so sad.

Tears flowed out uncontrollably, blurring her vision, and her father's figure also became hazy. Pictures flashed through her mind. Her father's kindness to her in the past and the indifference and rejection of her by her tribe kept intersecting, making her unable to find the absolute warmth and dependence she had always had.

Perotina pursed her lips tightly, lowered her head and said nothing. Only tears fell down in large drops, wetting her front.

Seeing Perotina like this, Adonis couldn't bear it in his eyes, but he still hardened his heart and continued to treat her coldly.

"Tell me everything that happened after you left the kindergarten, down to the smallest detail."

Perotina felt as if her soul was split in two. Half of him felt the numbness of his scalp and the feeling of being repulsed by the bad environment all over his body, and half of him was out of body, looking at himself in the torture calmly and coldly, feeling indifferent.

Although she felt that she did not have the strength to speak, under her father's order, Perotina began to describe in detail what had happened that day. His voice was hoarse, his tone was hollow, and his whole person was making monotonous noises like a walking zombie.

"Are you so unable to withstand blows? You can only accept the good things others do to you, but can't accept the bad things others do to you? Then with a special existence like you, it's better not to talk about cultivating a strong heart." Adonis suddenly interrupted her narration, with disgust in his tone.

But Perotina seemed to be waking up from a dream. The surrounding environment still had a strong sense of rejection against her, but her heart suddenly calmed down.

Perotina slowly raised her head and glanced at her father, then lowered her eyes and recounted what happened next.

How she used the dragon scales left by her grandfather to save Jonas, what Jonas gave her, and what promises he made to her. The voice was no longer toneless and waveless, but it carried a faint sense of pain. That was the heartache she couldn't hide.

Adonis was shocked and angry, and even more angry after hearing the whole thing. No matter how much I feel sorry for my daughter, I can't let her continue to be willful. She has so many character weaknesses at a young age. If there is something that he can't protect in the future, how will Perotina survive.

Lifting Perotina's backpack and placing it in front of her, Adonis motioned for her to take out the things and hand them to him.

"I haven't touched your backpack. You can open it yourself."

Even if he was extremely angry and worried, he still had to respect Perotina and not touch her personal belongings. Adonis hoped that some of his subtle actions would have a good influence on Perotina.

After taking the bag, Perotina felt that she had recovered a bit and was no longer as weak as before.

Taking out the bag containing the light magic crystals, she even opened it to see what the magic crystals looked like. Jonas had stuffed it directly into his backpack before, and now she had a chance to see it clearly.

As for the letter that Jonas was originally going to use in exchange for the seeds of the God of Light, Pelotina gave it directly to her father. Since Jonas said things would be troublesome, she'd better not get involved, otherwise her father would definitely be worried.

Thinking of this, Pelotina felt a little awkward again. She knew that her father didn't dislike her, and she also knew that he would continue to take care of her and care for her as always. She also knew that her father was angry with her and hoped that she would have a long memory before he treated her like this. But she still felt sad.

Two more golden beans fell, and Perotina handed the letter to her father with some trepidation.

Adonis took the letter and raised his eyebrows without any trace. It seems that the baby's psychological quality is not bad, and his mood and understanding are also quite good.

He didn't feel any need to feel guilty for treating his five-year-old daughter so harshly. After analyzing Perotina's mental state at this time, Adonis opened the letter and began to read the contents.

Perotina had been secretly observing her father's expression. She was actually very curious about what the letter said.

Aware of Perotina's little movement, Adonis kept his original expression unchanged, read the words on the letter again calmly, then slowly folded the letter and put it in his arms.

If they were at odds with each other, Pelotina would have asked loudly. But she was still embarrassed at this moment, and she couldn't open her mouth to ask something that her father obviously didn't want her to know.

"You have been exhausted this day. Dinner is prepared for you on the table in the outer room. After eating, you can go to bed early. I will come back later."

"Oh."

"No one is expected to come to the house tonight. If anyone does come and asks you about what happened during the day, just tell me what I told you."

"Oh."

"If Ziyuanhua is defeated and I haven't come back yet, you can go to bed by yourself without waiting for me. But you have to cover yourself with a quilt, it's still a bit cold at night."

"Oh."

Seeing Pelotina's one-word reaction of resistance, Adonis raised his eyebrows.

"If you are afraid of the dark when you sleep, just shout daddy's name and pretend that daddy is beside you."

""

The corners of Perotina's mouth twitched, and she said, "Oh, it won't come out."

Laughing silently out of sight of Perotina, Adonis adjusted his expression, said goodbye to Perotina and left the courtyard.

Perotina lay down on the bed again in frustration, wrapping her head in the quilt.

Could she say, what a fucking day.
