Hogwarts founder returns to campus

Chapter 19: Aftermath of the Swamp

In the early morning of September [-]st, except for Dora Tonks who was still catching up on sleep after training until eleven o'clock last night, the Tonks and his wife had already gotten up to pack up and prepare to send Salazar to King's Cross Station.

When Mr. Tonks dumped the three sausages on Salazar's dinner plate, emerald flames suddenly shot up from the fireplace, and three wizards in black uniforms of the Ministry of Magic stepped over the fireplace and looked at them.

A tall, ruddy wizard with a short brown beard smiled and said, "I'm sorry, Andromeda and Ted, for coming over so early in the morning."

Mr. Tonks hurriedly asked: "What's the matter? Is there something wrong with Dora during the training?"

"Of course not. As far as I know, Dora's camouflage training is the best among the Aurors this time..."

"Amos!" A much younger wizard next to him snatched the words and said, "Andromeda, we mainly want to make some simple inquiries to Mr. Kerber today, I hope you can give us a little personal space."

"Of course...Of course...Salazar has been staying at home all this time, I think you all should know." Mr. Tonks hurriedly left the kitchen with his wife.

The three of them sat across from Salazar, and the wizard who spoke first introduced, "Hi, Mr. Kerber, my name is Amos Diggory, and I work in the Department of Management and Control of Magical Creatures."

Then the young wizard said: "Arnold Peasegood, the oblivionist."

"I shouldn't need to introduce myself, Salazar." The last person to speak was Salazar's acquaintance, a strong-looking Auror with a gray and white cropped head—John Dawlish.

"Excuse me, what can I do for you today? Today is the first day of school..." Salazar crossed his hands and adjusted into a more comfortable posture to face the three wizards.

Amos took out a copy of the "Daily Prophet" from his briefcase, spread it out in front of Salazar and said, "Well, a few days ago a Muggle found a dead horse in Suffolk. The horse-shaped water monster, look at it."

Sara checked this issue of the "Daily Prophet", and the report on the horse-shaped water monster only occupied a small section, and more pages were about the invasion of a vault at Gringotts.

Salazar followed Amos' fingers and saw the photo of the horse-shaped water monster. The body of the horse-shaped water monster was covered with dense spider web marks.

"You think I did it? Because I used to be an Obscure?" Salazar asked, pushing the newspaper back to Amos.

"Ahem, in fact, this matter is a bit complicated." Dexter coughed lightly and said, "During Mr. Digory's investigation, he accidentally discovered that there was a magical attachment on it, so he asked me to break the transformation spell on it and restore it to the original state. The way you see it."

Pointing to a parchment report, Arnold continued: "I am an amnestic operator of the Reversal of Accidental Magic Events Team. When I amnesticized the relevant personnel, I found that his memory had been erased, so in summary What time, we have reason to suspect that you have killed a precious magical animal."

"It's an interesting inference. After all, there are traces of attack unique to Moran on the corpse, and both Muggles and corpses have been treated with magic. It's normal for you to suspect me, but..."

"However, Mr. Kolber is still a freshman who has not yet entered Hogwarts and has not studied systematically." Minerva McGonagall stepped out of the fireplace and took Salazar's words.

She was still wearing the dark green robe and a pair of square-rimmed glasses, but her bun was a little messy, as if she had rushed over.

"Under the surveillance of the Ministry of Magic, from Yorkshire to Suffolk, you didn't realize it at all? How do you think Mr. Kolber left here? Could it be that the Ministry of Magic wants to blame this matter on one person? On the child?" Professor McGonagall glanced at the three of them and asked questions like a cannonball.

"Of course not, Professor McGonagall."

The three wizards from the Ministry of Magic all lowered their heads, as if they were students humbly accepting the teacher's criticism.

"Actually, there is one more thing about Salazar, I think you should know." McGonagall still pursed her lips, but her tone was not as urgent as before.

"What is it? Professor McGonagall?" Amos asked.

"You probably didn't find any record of him registering his wand?"

"No, we have not received a wand registration record from Mr. Ollivander regarding Mr. Colber." It was still Amos who answered.

"Salazar didn't buy any wands. I can prove this, because I took him to Diagon Alley for admission purchases that day." McGonagall said in the clearest voice.

"How is it possible?" The three wizards from the Ministry of Magic shouted in unison.

In the end, Dawlish, who is an Auror, reacted immediately: "Since this is the case, I think the misunderstanding has been resolved. There is no way for such a child to leave here without the help of a wand, without disturbing us. It should be used by other dark wizards Silent forces have brutally killed a precious magical animal, and we will investigate immediately."

Amos took out a handkerchief to wipe off the sweat from his forehead, and said with a smile, "It's good to clear up the misunderstanding. There is still time. I think I can still have time to send Cedric to King's Cross Station."

"Amos, Cedric did a great job in Transfiguration," McGonagall said.

"Thank you for your compliment, I think Cedric will be very happy to hear it." Amos's face looked redder and seemed to glow, "Then we shall take our leave, Mr. Colber, and best wishes." Happy start of school!"

After the three wizards disappeared into the fireplace through the Floo network, McGonagall sat opposite Salazar and stared at Salazar with her lips pursed for a long time.

"Professor McGonagall, is there anything else you need to ask me?" Salazar knew that McGonagall was staring at him, but he still habitually did not look at him, bowed his head and kept crossing his fingers, asking.

"I wish you a successful start to school, Salazar." Professor McGonagall's voice was a little hoarse, and then disappeared into the fireplace through the Floo powder.

Tonks suddenly jumped in front of Salazar. She was wearing a bubblegum pink nightgown that was the same as her hair, and she was staring at Salazar with those big eyes and asked:

"Salazar, what happened? What did Dawlish and the others come to you early in the morning? I heard from my mother that three people came at once, and was it Professor McGonagall who left just now? Did something interesting happen? "

"They suspect that I went to Suffolk to murder a horse-shaped monster." Salazar stretched and continued to kill the sausages on the dinner plate.

"Is that so? Suffolk is quite far from here, what do the Ministry of Magic think?" Tonks burped after drinking a glass of milk.

"So Professor McGonagall came over and explained it for me. Thank you!" Salazar took the milk that Tonks handed him.

"You'll be fine, I wish you a happy start of school! Please prepare your entrance test carefully!" Tonks said with a playful wink of his right eye.
