Hogwarts Fantastic Beasts in the Stomach

Chapter 36 Stealing the Mandrake Flower at Night

As late at night came, the silver moon hung in the clouds, revealing little traces, while the stars blinked and looked at the people in the castle quietly, as if they were so curious in the first place.

The Herbology classroom at Hogwarts is not used for other classrooms. It is not within the Hogwarts castle. Instead, it is a separate small building built on the side of Hogwarts.

This classroom, which is more like a glass building than a masonry structure, reflects an inexplicable light under the silver moonlight. Green plants dot the classroom and sway slowly with the autumn wind at night.

Everything is so quiet and peaceful...

Of course, it would be better if there wasn't a sneaky figure here.

Carlos, who was wearing a Hogwarts uniform, was running across the grass with his body bent, while Mane was running at his feet. If you looked at him from a distance, you might have thought the Sniff was a big rat.

"The herbology classroom is ahead." Carlos whispered to Mane: "There are many herbs grown by Professor Sprout."

"Uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu" Mane looked at Carlos with disdain in his eyes.

"What do you mean by stealing?" Carlos shook his head and said, "We are buying!"

He shook the gold Galleons in his hand and said, "I just used the Galleons to buy some from the professor."

"Woooooooooooo."

"It's not a forced sale!" Carlos knocked Mane's head to pieces, then looked at the salamander with its head emerging from the cuffs and nodded: "Look at the salamander...it knows I'm buying."

"Hiss."

"Ahem, what we are talking about is not a bad thing." Carlos explained with a smile, and then slowly approached the Herbology classroom.

"Click." Carlos pushed the classroom door. Unfortunately...the door here was locked.

"This is a bit bad..." Carlos shook his head. Unlike Hermione, he was not able to pick the lock spell. Carlos had long forgotten about that somewhat complicated spell.

"Hiss, hiss." Luo Lizard looked at the iron chain and stuck out its tongue, as if it wanted to show off in front of Carlos.

"You said you can burn the iron locks?!" Carlos said in surprise, but he quickly came to his senses and said, "But won't this set the classroom on fire?"

"Hiss." Luo Lizard shook his lizard head. It was obvious that it was very confident in itself.

"It's a good thing that you have confidence!" Carlos touched Luo Lizard's head, and then Mane became angry when he saw the fishy look on his face.

"Mane, you should learn from Luo Lizard, who knows how to help his master when faced with difficulties." Carlos poked Mane's belly, feeling the illusion of bullets, and continued: "You only think about How can you take Galleons from me?"

"Uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu" Mane shook his head dissatisfied. It was telling Carlos that he and Luo Lizard were professionals in different fields.

"Then what is your professional type?" Carlos curled his lips: "Stealing things?"

"Uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu" Mane shook her head dissatisfiedly.

"Okay, what do you mean I am also a petty thief?" Carlos frowned after listening to Mane's words: "I am doing this in an aboveboard way... ahem, buying it in an aboveboard way!"

"Hiss!" Luo Lizard said, if you continue to argue, I will stop burning you.

"Ahem, let's get started." Carlos nodded, and then watched the Luo Lizard climb out of his sleeves and lie on his arm.

"Hiss, hiss." Luo Lizard's gills bulged, and then the black scales slowly turned red.

"Boom!" Luo Lizi opened his mouth, and a column of flames spurted out.

"It's too big, too big." Carlos shook his head quickly, and the fire almost set the classroom door on fire.

"Hiss, hiss." Luo Lizi nodded and immediately adjusted the intensity of the flames. The flames that were rushing like a giant dragon just now turned into misty flames, slowly burning the door lock.

You must know that this flame is not an ordinary flame. The flames spit out by the salamanders born from the magic fire naturally also have a magical level.

The door lock was soon burned by the magic fire.

With a "click" sound, the metal door lock hit the ground.

"Well done, Luo Lizard." Carlos encouraged Salamander: "Mane should learn from you."

"Woooooo!"

"You are still quibbling!" Carlos immediately said: "If you had the ability to cook yourself like Luo Lizard, I would have praised you long ago."

"Hiss." Luo Lizard expressed dissatisfaction with Carlos's choice of words.

Carlos opened the door to the classroom and walked in quietly. As expected, he found the goal of his trip in the corner of the classroom.

A pot of mandrake.

That's right, ever since that Herbology lesson, Carlos couldn't forget this plant that looked like magical animals... He couldn't help but wonder what it would taste like when cooked.

"Maybe it will have a bit of earthy smell?" Carlos looked at the quiet mandrake in the flowerpot and nodded gently, then took out the earplugs he had prepared early from his pocket.

"Bring the two of you too." Carlos also had two small homemade earplugs, which he handed to Luo Lizhi and Mane respectively.

Watching the two magical animals put on their earplugs, Carlos nodded, and then immediately used his hands to pull the mandrake out of the soil.

"Ahhhhhhh!"

The mandrake immediately made a sharp sound, and the harsh cry made Carlos, who was wearing earplugs, couldn't help but frown.

"Woooooo!"

"Fizz!"

The two magical animals couldn't stand it either.

"Soon, it'll be ready soon..." Carlos quickly stuffed the mandrake into the flower pot, and then quickly poured the soil in.

It didn't take long for Carlos to pack the mandrake...

"The next step is to throw it into the cooking manual." Carlos nodded, and then immediately opened the cooking manual and turned to a page related to vegetables.

"Phew." As soon as he let go, the mandrake fell in and became the picture above.

It's obvious that Carlos's operation has been mostly successful.

He closed the cooking manual and took out ten gold galleons from his pocket.

"These should be enough." Carlos calculated and said, "We also included the price of the door lock."

"Mane, you must not take it!" Carlos naturally did not forget to warn his Xiu Xiu. He could see that Mane was already gearing up.

"If you take away even one galleon, I will immediately make you into a sweet and sour pork loin." Carlos looked at Mane with a vow: "I swear to Merlin!"

"Woooo!" Seeing this, Mane had no choice but to retract his little thoughts, and then shook his head helplessly.

"Okay, let's go..." Carlos nodded, then closed the classroom door lightly with his hands and feet, and walked slowly to the grass.

From the Herbology classroom to Hogwarts, you have to pass through the edge of the Forbidden Forest. When walking here, Carlos subconsciously quickened his pace.

"This place is very dangerous." He explained to Mane and Luo Lizard: "But there is also a treasure house inside!"

"A treasure trove of food and delicacies!"

Carlos' words made the two magical animals couldn't help but shake their heads. They didn't agree with Carlos' words at all, especially the second half of the sentence about the treasure house.

However, their approval was not important to Carlos. He still looked at the Forbidden Forest casually, as if he was admiring his "food reserve base".

But as soon as he looked around, Carlos discovered something strange. He spotted a figure... who seemed to be slowly moving forward in the Forbidden Forest.
