The monk was puzzled for a moment, but seeing Jiang Shu's determined expression, he turned around and went in to communicate.

After a while, he came out, "Please follow me."

Jiang Shu immediately followed, and the monk led her through a winding corridor, into a pagoda, up the stairs, and opened the door. A thin woman was kneeling on a futon, with a tall Buddha statue in front of her.

Jiang Shu and the monk nodded, and the latter left immediately.

She stepped forward and knelt beside Jiang Lingyu, "I came to Jiangcheng on a business trip today, and I heard that the temple here is very spiritual, so I came here to worship. Auntie will not be offended."

Jiang Lingyu closed her eyes and clasped her hands all the time.

"The Buddha is used to seeing all living beings. If his heart is not sincere, he will be offended."

Jiang Shu picked up three sticks of fine incense and lit it near the fire, "I heard that before Wen Shu came home, Auntie had been here, so she would come here every season to fulfill her wish."

Jiang Lingyu still kept her eyes closed, turning the beads in her hand.

"My request must be sincere."

Jiang Shu raised the incense above his eyebrows, bowed devoutly three times before inserting it into the incense ash.She didn't believe in Buddhism before, and she was taught by Jiang Lingyu in Nanshan Temple.

"My father is missing. You said, whether it was because he was abducted or lost by himself, there should be signs, but he just disappeared out of thin air, and several forces couldn't find him. I had no choice but to come to worship Buddha."

Jiang Shu knelt beside Jiang Lingyu with clear eyes.

After a while, Jiang Lingyu stopped turning the beads and opened her eyes, "This is a disaster, it's useless to ask for help, and it may not be useful to ask for Buddha."

"Then what should I do?" Jiang Shu picked it up quickly, and turned to look at her, "Didn't Wen Shu find it after you came here? I'll try my luck."

Jiang Lingyu also looked at her, "Before that, I ate vegetarian food and recited Buddha's name for more than ten years, but nothing came of it."

Jiang Shu paused slightly. She actually found it quite strange. Jiang Lingyu seemed to believe in Buddhism, but she didn't seem to be firm enough in this belief.

She said word by word: "Yes, I have been eating vegetarian food and praying to Buddha for more than ten years, and I suddenly found it. Auntie, don't you think it's strange?"

Jiang Lingyu looked at her for a while, with a calm expression, then got up, found a Buddhist scripture, and knelt down again, "I always believe that people have blessings."

"Blessings." Jiang Shu thought of what the Wen family had done, and chuckled, "Maybe, but there are too many orphans without status in this world, and I am one of them."

Jiang Lingyu stopped flipping through the scriptures, "Aren't you..."

"I was adopted." Jiang Shu understood what she wanted to ask.

She got up, "I don't mean anything else, Auntie, we had a short time together, and I have always remembered that time in my heart. I think I should remind you that sometimes, what you see with your eyes is not necessarily the truth."

"What if someone designs it?"

After Jiang Shu finished speaking, he put his palms together facing the Buddha statue, and then turned around.

"What design." A crisp voice came from outside the door suddenly, someone pushed the door open, and met Jiang Shu face to face.

The latter was stiff all over, she didn't expect to see Wen Su here, and she came here with Jiang Lingyu.

Wen Su is thin and thin, and she is wearing a Zen-like pale pink dress, which fits the atmosphere of the temple very well.

With two cups of tea in her hand, she smiled slightly when she saw Jiang Shu, "Miss Jiang, are you here to find my mother?"

Jiang Shu's back felt cold, as if a poisonous snake was crawling slowly.

"Miss Wen is here too."
