Lu Yan felt that the system was right. Instead of understanding these one-sided things, it would be better to see it with his own eyes.

Since the system said so, Lu Yan also planned to go out for a walk, just to try his luck and see if he could run into his target.

Up to now he didn't even know the other party's name or his identity or background. He couldn't just wait like this, he had to go out and take a look.

Lu Yan asked the system, "Don't I have any relatives in this world? I don't have any interpersonal relationships at all?"

The identities assigned to him by the system were either those with a large family or those who were alone. He began to doubt whether the system had arranged it this way on purpose.

System: "Wait a moment, I'll go check it out. I haven't seen the relationships between the characters in your world yet."

Lu Yan was ashamed. He had been here for a few days, but the system hadn't even finished reading the information. "I knew you were unreliable, but I didn't expect you to be so unreliable."

Without waiting for the system to finish reading the information, Lu Yan had already packed himself up and prepared to go out. Although he didn't know where to go, he thought it should be okay to go to his workplace.

Lu Yan made up his mind and decided to go to the place where he usually worked.

There is a lot of work-related information in his own room, so naturally I know where he works.

When he went out and saw fully automatic driverless cars, as well as many tracks and cars in the air, Lu Yan looked like he had never seen the world before and looked around curiously.

As he walked out the door, a car stopped in front of him. Seeing that there was no one inside, the door opened automatically and he got in.

"Welcome aboard. What's your destination?" A smooth female voice came from the driver's seat.

This caught Lu Yan's attention. He thought for a moment and replied, "Time Building."

"Okay, our destination is Time Tower. We are expected to arrive in ten minutes. Please sit tight."

Lu Yan didn't say anything and sat in the back seat. The car started slowly and then accelerated.

It took exactly ten minutes to arrive at the entrance of Time Building.

Lu Yan remembered to bring the badge when he went out. He needed a special badge to enter and exit here. When he passed through the gate, the badge would be automatically scanned, and then he could go in, otherwise he would be kicked out.

"It seems that the place where I work is indeed different." Lu Yan looked around.

"Master Lu."

Most people who saw Lu Yan treated him this way, so Lu Yan had no choice but to nod to them. After all, he didn't know what to say.

He followed the system's instructions and came to his own office.

The person walking towards him stopped when he saw Lu Yan and said, "Master Lu, shouldn't you be on vacation? Why are you here?"

"I forgot something, so I stopped by to pick it up."

The system "is not a very familiar colleague."

Lu Yan nodded and walked into his office.

This is a relatively spacious office, but the things inside are very simple.

The interior was so white that it could reflect light. There was a table with some documents on it, and next to it were two rows of very large cabinets with neatly arranged folders.

They should all be things related to mechanical creatures.

I looked through all the things in his office at a glance, and it was pitifully small. No wonder that person looked at me strangely when I said I forgot something.

He looked at the cabinet for a long time. The information inside was basically frequently read. "It seems that these things have been read many times."

"The office is so empty, I can find anything I forgot at a glance." Lu Yan then sat down on the chair and began to look through the things in the drawer.

The drawers are mostly filled with information.

There was an empty table next to it, with only some instruments on it, and in the drawer below there were many bottles and jars besides the instruments.

"Host, these are the things you usually use when you study how to repair mechanical creatures." The system briefly explained to Lu Yan, "And when you usually repair mechanical creatures, there is a separate room for you to use."

Lu Yan nodded and said, "I see there are quite a few people outside. Are their jobs the same as mine?"

System: "Not bad, at least half of them, the others are just here to make up the numbers, or to monitor you."

"Humans are afraid that you will be bribed by the mechanical creatures and become their own, so they secretly prepared a lot of people to monitor you."

'So it is said that your identity is somewhere in between, which can easily lead to conflicts.'

Lu Yan nodded, "Then I am quite important."

'Yeah, you just discovered it.'

"I just realized what happened." Although Lu Yan knew that his identity might be unusual, he did not expect that there were so few people who could do what he did.

The system said nothing.

Lu Yan looked at the information in his hand and asked, "How long is my vacation?"

'A week.'

Lu Yan nodded, "Well, I hope I can be lucky enough to meet the target, so I don't have to look for people everywhere."

'I hope so.' Although the system does not hold out any hope for this.

Lu Yan flipped through the information in his hand, but unexpectedly picked up a personnel file. "Is this a mechanical creature that is still being repaired?"

He didn't observe the mechanical creatures carefully when he went out today. Now that there are so many mechanical creatures being repaired, maybe he could go over and take a look.

Just as Lu Yan had this plan, someone knocked on the door.

"Master Lu, I heard that you were here. There just happened to be someone special here, and I'd like you to come over and take a look." Someone pushed the door open.

Lu Yan looked up, but did not stand up immediately. Instead, he said indifferently, "Knock on the door next time you come in."

The other party didn't seem to expect Lu Yan to have this attitude. He didn't react for a moment. When he was looked at by Lu Yan, he subconsciously said "Okay."

Lu Yan then stood up and walked in front of him, "Let's go."

The person turned around and led the way, taking Lu Yan to an isolation room.

He explained, "Master Lu, this was just delivered today. The heart is pierced, so we have to replace it."

Lu Yan looked at the person on the bed inside from the window. The person was in a deep sleep, and there were already several people around him treating his wounds.

The blood in their bodies was not red, but blue. This was the first time that Lu Yan clearly realized that these were so-called mechanical creatures, and their appearance was no different from that of humans.

"The mechanical heart is on its way. Several people inside are quite capable. I heard that you were coming today, so I would like to ask you to personally demonstrate and teach them."

Lu Yan understood that this was a good opportunity for him to teach these people.

Lu Yan did not agree immediately, but did not refuse either.
