Harry Potter's Cousin Dudley at Hogwarts
Chapter 50
As soon as the bell rang after herbal medicine class, Harry and the others couldn't wait to throw down the small shovel for planting herbs.
"Malfoy, what are you doing here?"
"It's up to you, Weasley."
Ron looked at Malfoy following him with some displeasure.
"Okay, Ron." Harry pushed Ron forward, "If it's too late later, I might not see when it just hatched."
They hurried out of Hogwarts Castle, across the grass, to Hagrid's hut.
"Hagrid, what's going on?"
"Come out soon." Hagrid greeted them outside the door, but when he noticed the platinum-blond haired Malfoy, his expression hesitated, "Malfoy? This--Harry?"
"Hagrid, it's okay." Harry pulled Malfoy forward. "Draco, swear to us that you will not tell what you saw today, and there is a spell between us."
"Fine then!" Hagrid moved the door aside and let them in.
I saw that the egg that was originally baked on the fire was now placed horizontally on the table, and a long gap had been cracked on the eggshell.
Something was moving inside and there was a rattling sound.
"It will come out soon, you are so lucky, if you come a little later, you may not be able to see the scene of it coming out of its shell."
Hearing what Hagrid said, Dudley and the others quickly moved the chairs closer to the eggs, and then stared intently at the eggs on the table.
After a while, they heard the sound of something being torn apart, as if some membrane had been torn apart.
Then they saw that the egg was split in two, and a small charmander, whose whole body was black and covered in liquid, stepped on the eggshell and wobbled.
Dudley looked at the Charmander in front of him, and was quite disappointed to be honest.
I think there are no other adjectives other than ugly.
It looks crumpled, a pair of bat-like wings, but covered with thorns, and the whole body is jet black, not the bright black kind, but a little gray.
"Harry, it's beautiful, isn't it?" Hagrid reached out his hand obsessively, and stroked Charmander's head.
"Yes!" Malfoy looked at Charmander equally obsessively, because there is a dragon in his name, so he has always been very fond of dragons.
It's a pity that the Charmander on the table is not so easy to touch. It showed its sharp teeth and bit Hagrid's finger.
"Look, my God, does it know its mother?" Hagrid said excitedly.
"Mom??" Dudley looked at Hagrid's huge figure and bushy beard, and really didn't think it could be related to this word.
It's a pity that Hagrid seemed to have identified himself as the mother of this little fire dragon, and was there to ask for his care.
"Hagrid," Hermione asked what she wanted to ask, "how fast does this Norwegian spinyback grow?"
"Norwegian Spinosaurus grows very fast, within a week, it can grow to twice its original size." Before Hagrid could answer, Malfoy, who has always liked dragons, answered ahead of time.
"Twice as big in a week?"
"Strictly speaking, with the current body shape, it is equivalent to about three times the current size."
Hermione looked at the Charmander, which was not much bigger than the one in Hagrid's palm. He didn't say anything, and it didn't seem to be that big after being two or three times bigger.
But soon, Hermione felt that she was thinking too naively.
In just one week, the little charmander grew up rapidly every day, and Hermione felt that it would be bigger than Hagrid's dog named Fang in a short time.
"Hagrid, you have to get rid of it, you have to let it go." Harry persuaded Hagrid. "In two weeks, the dragon will be as big as your house, and everyone at Hogwarts will know that you have a dragon."
"I can't. It's too young to hunt by itself. If you let it go, it will die."
"Also, I decided to call him Norbert, and he really knows me now, he understands what I say." Hagrid bit his lip, of course he knew he couldn't keep him forever, but let him Just find someplace and throw it away, he can't do it.
"Charlie, Harry," Dudley reminded Harry.
"Charlie?" Dudley's sudden name stunned Harry for a moment, and then he remembered immediately.
"By the way, Charlie." Harry turned to Ron. "Ron, your brother Charlie. I remember you said he studied dragons in Romania, didn't you? Why don't we give him the dragon, no, Norbert. Charlie can take good care of it, and when it grows up, It can be released back into the wild."
"Great!" Ron heard Harry say, and thought the idea was brilliant. "What about Hagrid? Charlie will take care of it."
Finally, under the bombardment by a group of them, Hagrid finally agreed with Harry and asked him to send an owl to ask Charlie if it was okay.
On the way back to Hogwarts Castle, everyone who settled one thing in their minds felt much more relaxed.
"Actually, we can let my dad set up a manor to raise Norbert." Malfoy, who watched Charmander was born and grew up a little bit, was a little bit reluctant.
"I remember that the Magic Association stopped issuing certificates for taming dragons a long time ago." Hermione said, "Malfoy, can your dad get a certificate for taming dragons?"
"No." Malfoy thought for a while, shaking his head.
"That's it, Hogwarts has magic that can block those detections. If your father raises a dragon without a license, he is guaranteed to be visited by people from the Magic Association soon. By then-"
"Okay, Hermione, say a few words," Harry said. "Draco, you have to think better, at least we can find a good place for Norbert."
"Ron, the letter to Charlie is up to you."
"Me? Well, no problem."
In the following days, they waited for Charlie's reply every day.
Finally on Wednesday night, they got a reply from Charlie.
Charlie wrote that he was very happy to adopt Hagrid's Norwegian Ridgeback, and agreed that at midnight on Saturday, on the tallest tower, his friend would come and help transport Hagrid's Norwegian Ridgeback away.
"Midnight? Isn't that the curfew time!" Hermione became a little hesitant from being happy.
"We have an invisibility cloak, we can quickly send Norbert away, and then return to the lounge." Harry said the solution quickly.
"But, Harry, your invisibility cloak can't cover all of us." Hermione counted the number of people, including Malfoy, there are five people in total, plus Norbert. The invisibility cloak is not that big at all, and it cannot cover so many people.
"I can help brew the invisibility potion, which is similar to the invisibility cloak. Although the invisibility time is not very long, it still takes enough time to go back and forth between the tower and the lounge." Dudley opened his mouth and said the solution.
"Okay, then let's plan this first, and then we will see the situation."
Several people nodded in agreement.
"Malfoy, what are you doing here?"
"It's up to you, Weasley."
