Hogwarts: I'm a model wizard

Chapter 937 Helping to Keep the Pensieve

Ever since the news of Voldemort's defeat and escape spread, Hogwarts suddenly became lively, with more and more people, known or unknown, flocking in from all directions.

Some of these people are parents of students, some come to inquire about information, and some are just brave enough to come and watch the fun... After all, it is related to Voldemort, and most people don't dare to join in the fun.

When these people arrived at Hogwarts and found out that the news was true and Voldemort had really escaped, they would immediately excitedly tell others the news.

This also led to more and more people coming to the school, and a large number of wizards gathered together, making it seem chaotic.

If there was any place in Hogwarts that was relatively quiet today, it was probably the Forbidden Forest. The bright sunshine shone through the lush forest and sprinkled on the thick fallen leaves.

The giant dragon soared in the sky, but it did not alarm the Hogwarts castle next door at all. The people there seemed to be unable to see the situation here, and they were still chatting or celebrating, calmly doing their own things.

"As you can see, this is the truth of the matter."

In the garden, Kyle looked at Connor with tears streaming down her face and said softly, "Professor Snape is not a complete Death Eater. He is actually on our side and is in even more danger."

Kanna woke up half an hour ago and sat there in a daze, not knowing what she was thinking.

Kyle happened to walk in with a meditation basin at this time, allowing her to see the truth... or rather part of the truth.

Before coming back here, Kyle made some minor modifications to Snape's memory, deleting some of the less pleasant scenes, such as the part he almost experienced.

He felt that Snape probably didn't want Connor to see the grudges and dark history he had when he was in school.

Kyle originally wanted to split the memory in half directly from the middle, but later found that it was not feasible because many things could not get around a key person... Lily Evans.

If the school life was missing, Snape's later behavior of agreeing to be an undercover Death Eater would seem very strange and completely illogical, and its authenticity would be greatly reduced.

So Kyle had to give up this seemingly simple method and switch to a more troublesome one.

For this decision, he spent a lot of effort to modify the version that Connor is reading now, which is logical and can barely maintain the dignity of Snape as an elder. Otherwise, he would have come back long ago.

To be honest, he has done this much. If Snape targets him again in the future, it would be considered that he has a problem with his character.

Of course, the premise is that he can survive.

Kyle turned to look at Connor, and she happened to be looking over at him.

"I actually know." Kanna wiped her red eyes, "That's what I thought when I first saw him in the astronomy tower, but I didn't believe it at the time. I thought it was just wishful thinking."

"Is it possible that it's just your wishful thinking..." Kyle looked at her and said carefully:

"Professor Snape has been working undercover as a Death Eater for more than ten years without being discovered. How could you have seen through him at first glance?"

"Maybe, I can't say for sure." Connor stared at the Pensieve. "And I don't see through him. I just feel that his eyes are different from those of other Death Eaters."

"Eye?"

"Yeah." Connor nodded. "When he looked at Bill and the others, his eyes were calm. He didn't have the madness and hatred in the eyes of other Death Eaters."

"Is... that so?" Kyle pursed his lips and said nothing.

He couldn't really tell whether this was true or not.

Not to mention that he had never seen Snape on the battlefield, even if he had, he would not stare into the other's eyes...even when he was in school, he rarely did so.

Taking the initiative to look into the eyes of a master of Legilimency, isn't that just looking for excitement?

The only ones who would do this, or dare to do this and get away with it, seemed to be Kanna and Harry in first grade.

"Well... if you say so, then so." Kyle smiled, "But you dare to conclude that Snape is a good person just from one look, and even chase him... What if he is really a Death Eater and kills his own relatives for the sake of justice?"

"I didn't think so much at the time. I just wanted an answer." Connor said, "Uncle Snape, you can't kill me... and the facts prove that I am right."

"You're lucky." Kyle couldn't help but say, "Look at Barty Crouch's family. Barty Crouch Jr. tried his best to kill his father, as if this was the only way to prove his deformed loyalty to Voldemort, but in the end he was still..."

Kyle suddenly sighed and stopped talking. He just shook his head and said, "If he is really a Death Eater, the relationship of family members will not be very useful."

"Well, I understand..." Kanna seemed to have noticed that Kyle was in a bad mood, and her voice was very light, "What's wrong with you?"

"Nothing." Kyle shook his head, "I just feel a little conflicted."

"Because of Barty Crouch?"

"Well, I always thought that he deserved it, but when I saw him so distraught and wanting to die with Little Barty several times, I felt a little sorry for him."

Connor said nothing.

She had never met Barty Crouch and was not familiar with him, so she didn't know how to comfort Kyle.

"Forget it, let's not talk about this." Kyle shook his head, took a deep breath, and said half-jokingly, "Anyway, wizards generally live longer. Barty Crouch is lucky enough to survive this time, so he is still relatively young. If he can figure it out, he will have enough time to create a new account."

"Tell me about yourself." Kyle looked at Connor again, "Do you remember what happened after you went after Snape?"

"I remember most of it, but it's probably useless." Kanna thought carefully for a moment and then said:

"Now that I think about it, Uncle Snape could have gotten rid of me halfway, but he didn't. Instead, he kept a distance from me, as if he was deliberately leading me to that place."

"where?"

"The corridor leading to the North Tower," Connor said, "is the corridor where we go to Divination class. It's opposite the Quidditch pitch and is very remote. Generally, few professors and students go there.

"Even when I chased Uncle Snape there was no one there."

“That’s really painstaking,” Kyle muttered.

"What did you say?" Kanna didn't hear clearly.

"I said Snape must have deliberately led you there, wanting you to spend the war in a safe place." Kyle said, "He also took the risk of handing you over to his former enemy Sirius.

"But he probably didn't expect that Sirius would accidentally run into a few Death Eaters who were trying to sneak around, and was chased all the way to the Quidditch field not far away."

"A sneaky Death Eater?"

"Ah, it's just a little episode, it's not important, you just need to know that Snape is not a Death Eater."

Kyle waved his hand and changed the subject, "To be honest, many wizards out there are very dissatisfied with him now. If you hear anything excessive, don't mind it. After all, they don't know the truth. They only saw that Snape rescued Voldemort."

"I know what to do." Connor nodded.

This memory came just in time, allowing her to finally put down a big stone in her heart. If not, she really didn't know how to face other wizards.

"Do you remember anything else?" Kyle asked.

"No more." Connor thought for a moment, "When I caught up with Uncle Snape, I had a lot of questions to ask him, but before I could say them, I was hit by his Stunning Spell."

"When I wake up, I'll be here." Kanna raised her head and looked around, her sight stopping on the Romanian long-horned dragon lying on the ground not far away, and then she turned to look at the iron belly next to it with half of its wing missing.

"Is this...in your box?"

"Why did it change again?"

Seeing so many fire dragons, Kanna's first reaction was Kyle's box, but she vaguely remembered that Kyle's box didn't seem so big, and not so monotonous.

He remembered that there was a cliff with time reversed next to the forest. It was night over there during the day, just in time to see the Moon Beast dancing.

But now, there were lush trees all around, some tall and some short, stretching as far as the eye could see. It was completely different from the scene in her memory.

"Ah, I put you in the box before, but then I found that this place is also good."

"Where is this?" Kanna asked curiously.

"The Forbidden Forest," Kyle said. "After I became a professor, I applied to have a garden, and the school agreed."

"How could it be the Forbidden Forest? That's impossible..." Connor blurted out, "The dragon is flying over the Forbidden Forest. It can definitely be seen from the direction of Hogwarts Castle."

"This is a long story." Kyle did not explain, but took Connor directly in another direction, allowing her to see the Hogwarts Castle not far away with her own eyes.

This worked better than any other explanation; Kanna immediately believed that this was the forbidden forest.

“This is incredible,” she exclaimed, looking once again at the Pensieve in her hand.

"You've already seen it twice," Kyle reminded her. "I think we should go to the auditorium for lunch now instead of watching it for the third time. You haven't eaten all day."

It is already close to noon of the second day. Kanna has been in a coma the whole time, so naturally she hasn't eaten anything. If you add yesterday's preparations before the battle, it has been almost a whole day.

"That's...ok."

Kanna actually wanted to look at the memory again, but after being reminded by Kyle, she did feel hungry, so she could only reluctantly raise her head and hand the meditation bowl to Kyle.

Kyle took the Pensieve and first put the memories inside back into the glass bottle, then skillfully stuffed the Pensieve into the box.

Kyle had no other intentions, he simply wanted to ask Dumbledore to keep this precious alchemical item.

Now that Voldemort has just been defeated and Headmaster Severus Snape has run away again, what if the Ministry of Magic does not allow Professor McGonagall to take over as Headmaster again, but instead randomly appoints a new Headmaster?

Such a good thing must be in the hands of one's own people. He will return it when Dumbledore returns from Nurmengard.

Well, he was just keeping it temporarily to prevent outsiders from taking it away secretly, that's all.

Kyle thought to himself, and his hands moved more calmly.

He then took Connor out of the garden and headed towards the castle.

Kanna was very interested in Kyle's wooden house, but she felt that the arrangement of the furniture inside looked a little familiar... Oh, yes, the dormitory.

The furnishings here are exactly the same as those in the dormitory, and you can't tell at all that a professor lives here.

"I'm just nostalgic." Kyle shrugged. "The dorms are pretty nice, aren't they?"

Kanna smiled but said nothing.

The two walked slowly towards the castle. Along the way, Kanna hesitated several times to speak. It was not until they passed the Black Lake and were about to reach the castle that Kyle finally noticed this and turned to look at her and asked:

"What do you want to say?"

"No, nothing..." Kanna subconsciously shook her head to deny it, but soon she became entangled again and asked in a low voice: "Are those memories you showed me real?"
