Chapter 3 Finding a Job

With a little confusion and fatigue, he walked to the brown peach walnut single bed by the window. The long-lost tranquility and safety made Ian fall asleep quickly.

Inexplicably traveling through an apocalyptic world, his spirit was always tense. Even if he had lived in a relatively safe environment and carefully cleared the residence, he had never obtained the peace he is now.

This is actually not difficult to understand, after all, in an unaccompanied dead world, as well as the feeling of panic that just stares at the shadows, everything is oppressing and destroying his spirit.

In this case, even sleep is only a shallow rest, and even the rapid eye movement period will not be reached.

Two hours of deep sleep is better than a day of light sleep, and this theory has been confirmed again.

After waking up in the evening, Ian felt like a nine-tailed grass that hadn't seen any rain all year round. After being watered by the spring rain, the sense of rebirth that had been in the nectar for a long time was born spontaneously.

After simple grooming and tidying, I put on the second-hand plain robe left by Old Tom.

Looking at the figure in the mirror, the mysterious, tall and slender boy, the old second-hand robe seemed to have been charmed by magic on him.

"What is this? One day I was so handsome..."

But it was time to go downstairs, and Ian pushed the door open.

……

The bar at this moment is obviously not as crowded as when he came, there are only a few people scattered in twos and threes.

Due to the dimness of the evening sky, Ian's arrival did not disturb the others, and he walked straight to Old Tom who was wiping the wine glass.

"You look very refreshed, which proves that you are well rested. I think you need to drink a glass of lemonade with a few drops of euphoria now."

Apparently Old Tom noticed Ian, and he said that he filled the freshly wiped glass next to him with lemonade.

"Thank you for your hospitality. To be honest, I haven't slept so peacefully for a long time. I wonder if you know where I can find a job?"

After Ian expressed his gratitude, he took advantage of the situation and put forward the appeal in his heart.

"Well, there is no need to be so anxious for the time being. You can eat something first, and I will guide you how to enter Diagon Alley later. You may be able to try your luck there."

For such an answer, Ian knew it by heart.

It was expected and reasonable, and it was not difficult to see that although Old Tom was very friendly to the little wizards, his friendliness was limited.

As the "Flag Bearer" of Diagon Alley, he is not stupid. To allow a strange wizard's credit, and that blood-stained attire, is undoubtedly a sign of trouble, even if the wizard is underage.

Ian is already very grateful for being able to live here temporarily.

So he doesn't have any qualifications to ask for more, such as working in a bar, or helping himself introduce a job.

"Anyway, thank you very much."

Looking at Old Tom's wrinkled and toothless face, Ian thought silently in his heart.

Looking at the dinner handed over by Old Tom in front of him, a piece of French fries, and two high-quality sandwiches with obvious additions.

Compared with many "predecessors" who complained about British food, this dinner was already extremely luxurious for him, who was still cooking batter in the last days.

After hastily eating this luxurious dinner, led by Old Tom, he walked through the bar and came to a small courtyard surrounded by walls. There was nothing here except a trash can and some weeds.

The other party pointed to the wall brick above the trash can.

"Remember, count up to three yuan, and then count down to two yuan." After saying that, old Tom drew out his wand and tapped on the wall three times, and the wall began to shake.

Soon after, a not-so-narrow archway was formed, leading to a winding street with no end in sight, all paved with irregular cobblestones.

"Welcome to Diagon Alley." Old Tom looked at Ian with a smile.

But seeing that the other party obviously didn't intend to accompany him in, he just stood at the archway to signal, and then walked back slowly.

After Ian thanked him again, he raised his legs and stepped into this holy place for punching cards in the heavens and worlds.
