I'm waving my magic wand in Marvel

Chapter 16 The Church and Superheroes

While waiting for dinner, John reached over the bar, picked up a wine bottle, looked at it, and threw it to Matt.

Matt caught it and smelled it, then put the bottle down and came to the bar to sit down.

"So you weren't going to tell me?"

"Tell you what?" John asked in surprise.

Matt raised his forehead, "Who are you?"

"John Wick," John opened a bottle of wine and chuckled, "Your employer, isn't this enough?"

"Not enough," Matt shook his head and said in a deep voice, "Why are you here? You did this..."

Matt ran through the vocabulary in his mind and asked uncertainly: "Magic?"

"Let me think about it," John rubbed his chin and thought, "Yes, it's magic."

"But does it matter?"

He took out a glass and poured the drink into it.

The aroma of wine evoked the ingredients in Matt's mind, and he raised his hand to take the cup and drank it all in one gulp.

"What is the taste?"

"what?"

Matt was stunned when he heard John's question.

John patiently explained: "That glass of wine."

"Nice tequila, why do you ask?"

"Because I got that cup at the bar," John said casually, "I don't know if any drug addict or sexually transmitted disease patient drank it."

Matt: "..." He held the guide stick in his hand tightly.

John took a step back silently, "You took it yourself."

If you think about it carefully, it really is.

I'm so angry. I was obviously the one who suffered the loss, but I was persuaded.

"Ding dong, ding dong," an old man came in with his own music. He walked into hell and heaven as if he were in his own backyard. He took off his hat to the two people at the bar and said gracefully, "Gentlemen, I think so. You made dinner reservations.”

A blind man, a young man.

A strange combination.

The corners of the old man's mouth curved, and he put on his hat again and pressed down on the brim.

Simon's power in Hell's Kitchen is not simple.

These two are hilarious.

"I ordered dinner." John put another cup on the table and poured a cup of tequila for the old man. "You may need to count the number of people dining."

"We would be delighted, sir."

The old man is not like a corpse collector, but more like a collector of antiques and famous paintings.

He brought a large team, prepared the tools and started working without any surprise.

John handed the wine glass over, and the old man took a sip and put it down.

It didn't seem to be to his taste.

"Today is a good day," the old man held out his hand, "Hume."

John held out his hand to shake, "John."

Two people are acquainted.

As for Matt, what's there to know about a lawyer.

Hume looked at his team working and smiled, "In our industry, we can't ask too many questions, but I'm curious."

He looked at John with a deep look, "You are not a killer registered in the hotel."

"You can't remember everyone." John's expression remained unchanged.

"But I can remember everyone in my New York City." Hume smiled, "But, I said, I can't ask too many questions."

A problem, just a quick taste.

It is worse to know too much. This is Hume's wise way to protect oneself.

The dinner team was very professional. As they got busy, bodies wrapped in bags were moved down one by one.

"What to do with those who are not dead?" Hume looked at John, "We are not responsible for the living."

John shrugged, "Then don't worry about it."

"By the way, aren't you registering at the hotel?" He stretched out his finger to tap the cup and chuckled, "For the sake of me buying you a drink."

"Well, even though I only drank a little," Hume said, knowing he would have stopped taking that sip, "there are some tough guys who work outside the hotel, but they don't dare to mess with the hotel."

John nodded understandingly.

He wanted to know how many enemies his father still had.

It seems that Simon is an exception. He is the only one who dares to accept the task of killing his father.

Dinner mission is over.

The large and small bags of kitchen waste were pulled away. Matt John stood at the door and watched the frozen meat truck leave. He asked: "What should we do now?"

"Are you familiar with this place?"

John held the address he just asked from Simon between his fingers and handed it to Matt.

Matt didn't take it and said, "I'm blind."

"Oh, sorry."

John retracted his finger in embarrassment and said, "Your behavior makes it easy for me to think you are a normal person."

"What about you, Magician?"

"Or call you Night Devil?"

Matt didn't give up on getting some intel from John.

John took out his pocket watch and looked at it, "It's been two hours."

He walked in one direction, Matt following him.

Still didn't get the answer I wanted.

...

"Hey, calm down, man, can't you see the color of my skin?"

"I don't care what color you are, just hand over the money quickly!"

Ferdinand was about to cry, but John's words before leaving scared him so much that he did not dare to leave.

But in Hell's Kitchen, even parking can be a problem.

Now he was being robbed by three equally dark-skinned men.

He always carries a switchblade when he goes out, and the other side holds a gun to Ferdinand's head.

"Take out the money quickly, don't do any tricks!" The robber was furious with the 16 yuan and two he had snatched in his hand.

Ferdinand turned his pockets inside out and said without tears, "I really have nothing left."

"Faq, give me the car keys!"

With such a small amount of money, the robber was so angry that he hit Ferdinand on the head with the butt of his gun.

Ferdinand was so hit that he couldn't stand firmly, and his clothes were pulled off and he was thrown against the car door.

They are born from the same root, so why rush each other?

Three black men beat up a black man.

Ferdinand's car keys were taken away, and just as the robber was about to drive, a guide stick stopped in front of him.

Before the words came out of his mouth, the black man received a stick in the face.

Immediately after the other two people came over, Matt dodged the attack sideways, grabbed the opponent's fist and twisted it, and kicked one person away with his sideways kick.

John took the key from the fallen robber and threw it to Ferdinand.

"Let me introduce, this is Ferdinand." John said to Ferdinand, "This is Matt, a lawyer."

“Is there a lawyer in Hell’s Kitchen?”

Ferdinand was dumbfounded, but when he realized it, his forehead was still bleeding.

"Send us there at this address, wait a minute." After handing the address to Ferdinand, John thought of something and asked Matt, "Do you need to change clothes? Don't superheroes all have combat uniforms?"

Matt does, and he also understands that the place John is going to is probably quite dangerous.

Matt nodded and said, "Take me home."

Ferdinand touched his head, why was his wound gone?

Then I heard about superheroes and lawyers.

What is the relationship between these two?

John showed no sympathy and urged Ferdinand on in the car.

"Hurry up, Ferdinand."

"I'll be right now."

Ferdinand got up from the ground, with a depressed look on his face.

What are you doing today?

If I could do it all over again, I would never stand out during the day.

He was still thinking wildly, but John slapped him on the head and asked kindly: "Is there a problem?"

"no problem!"

Ferdinand shook his body and forced a smile on his face.

Car starts.

...

After a trip home, Matt changed his clothes and sat in the car.

Ferdinand's mouth dropped open when he saw Matt's outfit.

"Y-Daredevil?"

Matt turned to John and asked, "He doesn't know?"

John said innocently: "He and I just met during the day."

Matt's face darkened again.

It’s the second time I’ve revealed my identity.

But now is not the time to worry about this, John asked Ferdinand to start.

The pickup made its way through Hell's Kitchen, finally stopping in front of a church.

"Is there a church in Hell's Kitchen?" Ferdinand got out of the car and looked at the place with the cross, wondering.

"The more chaotic the place, the stronger the religious belief." John said lightly, "No matter how many people they kill, those villains still hope that their souls will be pure."

Matt turned to look at John. He felt that the John at this moment was different from the John before.

"Let's go, maybe we can have breakfast before dawn."

Matt and John walked to the church, and Ferdinand stood alone in front of the church.

A gust of wind blew and a bottle rolled to Ferdinand's feet.

He looked struggling, and John didn't say whether to let him wait here or leave.

His teeth ached at the thought of John meeting Daredevil.

I dare not leave.

He gritted his teeth and stomped his feet.

Get into the car and lock the door.

Better wait.

...

It was quiet inside the church.

After all, it was already midnight, and no one would come here to pray at this time.

John and Matt walked side by side.

"It's quiet here," Matt said. "There's a smell."

"What flavor?"

"chicken."

Hearing Matt's words, John said, "It seems they don't have that much respect for their Lord."

"Let's act separately." After Matt said that, he disappeared into the darkness.

"The lost child."

A priest walked in. He had a kind face, just like the grandfather next door.

"I would rather you come back during the day." The priest was not angry because of John's intrusion. On the contrary, he was very kind.

But John could see the malice carried by the other party.

John walked over slowly and smiled: "Father, I hope you swear to your Lord that you don't want to kill me."

A flash of light flashed in the priest's eyes, and he immediately said with an exaggerated and absurd expression: "Of course, my child, I definitely don't want to kill you."

"Shh-" John stretched out his index finger to make a silent sound and smiled, "Liars can't enter heaven."

He made a move with his right hand, but before the priest could react, his body was pulled towards him by a strange force.

Object magic.

John grabbed his neck and his eyes turned into vertical pupils.

"You lied to your Lord, I see it."

He looked directly into the priest's eyes. "Tell me why you assassinated Wick."

When the priest heard this question, he didn't know that he was exposed.

His expression changed and he shouted: "Do it!"

"Do it? You should look around." John chuckled.

Those who were hiding in the church fell one by one.

Matt walks out of the darkness. He has super sensitive hearing and smell, which is terrifying in the dark.

His manpower was gone, and the priest's expression changed.

John grabbed his sleeve and pulled it open.

Revealing the tattoo of the Ten Rings Gang underneath.

"Tell me, or I'll pry your mouth open." The vertical pupils of John's eyes were suffocating.

The priest found it hard to breathe. The person in front of him turned into a darkness and swallowed him up.

"I tell you."
