This book is my first work. There are indeed some places that I didn’t pay attention to in the early stage, which has affected your reading experience. I hope you can understand...

Before this, the author had never thought that he would try to write a novel one day.

Maybe it’s because I have a story in my heart and I want to tell it?

Originally, this book was published on November 2022, 11. During this period, I did not plan to write it seriously, so in the first two months, the author only updated 8 chapters (blushing)

Later, after the Chinese New Year at the end of February 23, I started to update slowly.

When I signed the contract and reached 20,000 words, I was really excited. Perhaps from that moment on, I could also be considered a writer?

Because I had my full-time job before and was busy, it was not until the end of March that I started writing seriously.

That is to say, since then, the author has never stopped updating for a single day, and has continued to update for 553 consecutive days to date.

During this period, the network cable was disconnected twice, there were power outages more than five times, and my keyboard malfunctioned, my monitor broke down, etc., but none of these prevented me from updating. Isn't it amazing?

There is no other way. I have two monitors and two keyboards, and I always have a power bank at hand, so these will not stop me from updating.

There are many times when I am still typing even when I am sick, even if my mind is a mess.

But in fact, the initial performance of this book was very poor. The signature on the author’s homepage: "My dream is to have three meals a day by writing!" was not written casually, but it was really difficult for me at that time.

But I didn't expect that this sentence almost made me give up my writing career.

Once I received an unfriendly comment from a colleague, and I said, "We are all writers, there is no need to nitpick like this, right?"

I only remember that person said to me at the end: "I'm just writing for fun, I don't need to make a living from it..."

I know that the other party is mocking me for writing badly and no one reads it, but I still keep writing.

At that time, I refused to give up, so I gritted my teeth and persevered. Even though I was very tired after finishing my part-time job every day, I still wrote 4,000 words and stayed up all night to optimize the previous content.

At that time, in April, May and June, my daily income was only a little over one yuan. In fact, if I didn’t write a book and focused on my part-time job every day, my life would be much better. At least I could order takeout at will and wouldn’t have to go hungry.

If I weren't writing books, part-time work would actually be my main job.

But I want to try.

I finished writing it in June, and I was actually ready to give up because at that time my part-time income was far less than the income from writing the book.

At that time, with 300,000 words, there were only a handful of readers.

But fortunately, the author persisted for another month and got full attendance for July in August. At that time, the author decided that for the readers who supported me, I must finish writing this book! !

I remember saying before that if the number of book reviewers reaches 100, I will start updating three times a day. However, a book of more than 400,000 words has no ratings, so you can imagine how bad the performance is.

When the author was just a little short of 100 reviews, he started updating three times a week, but after writing for a few days in a row, he couldn't take it anymore and made himself sick...

I really love writing novels, so I persist in doing so until now, even though it is too cold in winter and I still write while wearing gloves.

From the initial conception, this book was intended to be completed at around one million words.

But the actual writing is completely different.

It is not easy for a new author to successfully write a novel of one million words. To be honest, the author did not mess up the plot in the later part, and many readers praised that the novel became better and better as it went on. It really took a lot of effort.

What's more, the word count has doubled.

I actually planned to finish this book at the end of July 24, but that would make it a bad ending, so I continued writing for a month, and even if I updated it frequently, it would still be a bit hasty.

So it extended to September.

If any readers are dissatisfied with the current ending, or even think it is a bad ending, then the author really can't help it. I have tried my best and tried to write the most perfect ending, but it seems to be really difficult to do so...

Especially since I have been writing for more than 500 days in a row, and this is the first time for the author to write a book, and I have never stopped updating, it is really tiring.

As for Jiang Chen and the final BOSS, the foreshadowing was buried deep from the very beginning. For example, the anti-material sniper rifle used by Longshan's group, people who often know about military affairs will know that this gun is not a domestic weapon.

And those guns were also provided to Longshan by Jiang Chen using his organization, but the two groups did not know each other.

There is another small detail about who took the children around Yuan away.

The idea at the time was that if the performance of this book could improve a little in the later stage, for example, reach 50,000 readings, then the next chapter would be opened after solving the problem of salvation.

If the results are not good, consider leaving it as a foreshadowing for the second part.

But even if I want to write the sequel (the second part of the Zombie Crisis series), I will have to wait for a long time, at least after I finish writing the new book.

So now I can tell you in advance that those children were taken away by the military on a mission, and it was the children who suggested destroying the well...

The author is not planning to write about the military, but first write about how ordinary people survive in the apocalypse. Even if there is a second part, it will only be the same timeline, but things that happened in different places. Maybe one day they will meet the current protagonists?!

After all, the zombie virus can no longer be completely eradicated in the world of the book.
