Marriage in crisis

While waiting for She Hui, I saw some guests walking along this corridor.

I looked over and saw that the corridor extended very far away. At the end was a small round hall. It seemed that there were people there too, and laughter could be heard from time to time.

The laughter was very contagious and immediately aroused my curiosity. I really wanted to see who were the people in that small hall.

After She Hui came out of the bathroom, I pulled her in that direction and gestured, "Let's go over there and take a look. There seems to be people there too! There's dancing in the hall, it's a bit noisy, maybe it's quieter over there!"

Although I said this, I actually wanted to see who else was there and what the situation was like.

After all, I want to see everyone who comes here, at least to leave an impression. This is my good point, I remember people. Shen Kuo has praised me for this more than once.

Of course She Hui understood what I meant. Without saying a word, she took my arm, and we chatted very intimately as we walked in that direction.

The interior decoration of the entire manor is extravagant and is the product of money. In fact, it is in stark contrast to the ancient and heavy appearance of the entire manor outside.

I took a quick look and saw that two of them were indeed big shots. I had seen them on the cover of Global Economic Magazine.

However, there was an old man sitting in the middle of them. His attire attracted me. It was a Chinese Tang suit.

This was a bit surprising to me, and I thought to myself that he was definitely a Chinese. And judging from where he sat, he was quite respected by these people.

I couldn't help but look at him again, and he also looked at us, his eyes staring sharply at the two of us.

I quickly nodded again and calmly pulled She Hui back.

We originally wanted to go back the same way we came, but a waiter happened to come over pushing a food delivery cart. We were so anxious to back out that we almost bumped into the cart he was pushing.

I quickly pulled She Hui away to dodge, but the waiter stopped to sort out the drinks on the cart, so we had to retreat to another corridor.

She Hui looked towards the corridor and asked me, "Where does this lead to? Could it be another passage to the front hall? Is it the corridor that Madam Wen came out of just now?"

I thought, since we are all within the manor, all roads lead to Rome, and any one of them should lead back to the outer hall.

With this in mind, the two of us just went with the flow and walked along the corridor looking around. After all, the decorations here were so luxurious that we could appreciate them as we walked.

But I didn't expect that I would get lost after walking like this.

We don’t know where we are in the manor castle at this moment, but it is very quiet here, with soft and thick light-colored carpets, soft lights, and fragrant flowers placed everywhere.

There happened to be a small flower hall in the corridor in front of us. I signaled to She Hui, "Would you like to sit down for a while and get a feel for the position? I don't wear high heels anymore. It's too painful!"

We walked directly to the small flower hall, but just as we were approaching there, I vaguely heard voices.

I quickly grabbed She Hui and made a 'hush' gesture to her. I wanted to retreat, but I heard a familiar voice saying, "Are you sure there is nothing wrong with this Angeli?"

I immediately glanced at She Hui. This was clearly Song Li's voice, and he mentioned Angeli, which made me alert.
