Collection of strange powers and chaotic gods

Chapter 271 Reincarnation of Sun Ashan

It is said that during the Kangxi period of the Qing Dynasty, the famous scholar Sun Eshan (a famous scholar during the Kangxi period of the Qing Dynasty, he was a bachelor's degree from the official to the minister of general affairs. Zheng Banqiao once praised him: "Articles are all over the world, and his descendants are incompetent.") Mr. Once while traveling by boat to Gaoyou, he suddenly fell seriously ill and was bedridden on the boat.

When he was dying, he suddenly felt that he got out of bed and went ashore as if he were taking a normal walk. His whole body felt relaxed and comfortable.

After a while, a man came and led him forward.

He just felt that he was in a daze, not knowing why he was moving forward, and he had no intention of asking the person who led him away.

Not long after leaving, the man led him to a wealthy family's house. He saw that the entrance hall was very luxurious and the courtyard was cleaned very neatly and orderly.

Slowly, he walked into a room in the backyard and saw a young woman with a big belly giving birth.

He felt that it was inappropriate for him, a grown man, to walk into someone else's delivery room. Just when he was about to retreat, the person who led him slapped him from behind, and he suddenly felt unconscious.

He didn't know how long it took before he slowly woke up. He couldn't help being surprised, because he found that his body had shrunk and was wrapped in a beautiful swaddling clothes.

Although he knew in his heart that he had been reincarnated, he was helpless because he could not make the decision at all.

He wanted to speak, but he felt a cold air pouring into his body from the fontanel, and he was immediately speechless.

He rolled his eyes and looked around the room. He could see very clearly the desks, beds and other furniture placed in the room, as well as the couplets, calligraphy and paintings hanging on the walls.

On the third day, a maid carried him to take a bath.

The maid accidentally slipped him to the ground and he was thrown unconscious.

When he woke up again, he found that he was still lying on the bed in the cabin.

Sun Ashan thought he had a dream, dreaming that he was reincarnated.

His family told him that he had been dead for three days. It was only because his limbs were still soft and his heart was still warm that he didn't dare to bury him.

Mr. Sun Ashan hurriedly asked for a piece of paper and a pen, wrote down what he saw in the dream, and drew the route that the man took him along.

After Mr. Sun Ashan finished the painting, he quickly sent people to follow the route map he drew to find the family where he had been reincarnated in his dream. After finding it, he told the owner not to punish the maid too much.

After the arrangements were made, he slowly told his family what happened in the dream in detail.

On the same day, his illness was completely cured.

So he personally disembarked from the boat and went to the house where he had been reincarnated.

When he got there, he saw the maids, old women and others, all of whom seemed familiar.

The owner of this family was very old. He thought he would be able to have a son in his old age, but he was only happy for three days.

After the owner saw Mr. Sun Ashan, he sighed with regret, saying that this thing was too strange, but it was just a sigh, what else could he do?

During the Qianlong period, Lord Meng Jianxi, the general envoy (third rank, the same level as the Minister of Dali Temple), also encountered a similar thing to Mr. Sun Ashan.

Master Meng Jianxi also dreamed that he was reincarnated. After waking up, he still remembered the road he walked in the dream and the family he was reincarnated into.

Afterwards, Meng Jianxi went to visit, and sure enough, the son born to this family died that day.

This matter was told by Lord Tu Shiquan, the cabinet scholar, in great detail.

The story of Meng Jianxi is generally similar to what Mr. Sun Ashan experienced. The only difference is that Mr. Sun Ashan remembered the scene of going to reincarnation, but did not remember the situation when he returned; Meng Jianxi remembered clearly everything he went there and met his wife who had passed away before. When I got home and entered the room, I saw my wife and daughter sitting together.

Ji Xiaolan’s note: The Buddhist theory of reincarnation has always been rejected and criticized by Confucians. But in fact, reincarnation often does happen, and the causes and consequences are logically correct.

It's just that what Mr. Sun Ashan and Meng Jianxi experienced was that they entered reincarnation for a short time and then returned to their original bodies. The matter of such reincarnation for no reason came to naught. According to the usual Buddhist theory of reincarnation, I can’t explain it.

Some people say: "Sages ignore questions beyond the heaven, earth, up, down, and four directions!" Then, let this question remain doubtful.
