Chapter 312: The Village Next to the Construction Site

Since I quit my job as a security guard and left the construction site, fate seemed to be playing a joke on me. I was unfortunately caught up in a pyramid scheme and not only lost all my money, but also suffered a huge blow and setback. With no money and nowhere to go, I had to return to my hometown and stay at home temporarily unemployed.

Time flies, and it's already November. It was winter, the weather was cold, and I didn't feel like looking for a job, so I decided to rest at home for a while and wait until next year to make plans. In this way, the days passed, and the New Year was coming. After the Spring Festival, it was already February or March, but I was still unemployed at home, without any movement.

At this time, Mr. L suddenly sent me a message and invited me to work for him. Faced with this sudden opportunity, I felt a little helpless. After all, at this moment, it seemed that the whole world was like a person who couldn't find a job, and the employment situation was extremely severe. Although returning to the security job was not the most ideal choice in my mind, in the face of reality, perhaps this was the best way out at present.

When I was at home, preparing to go out to work, I suddenly found a boil on my leg! This is really a headache, after all, boils are actually inflammation of the hair follicles. Due to time constraints, I did not have time to see a doctor, so I decided to make a disinfectant patch to deal with it. The material needed to make the disinfectant patch is garlic, which is common in our daily life.

I have tried this method before. I remember that I had corns on my feet a few years ago, and I used garlic to cure them. So when I saw the boil on my thigh this time, I naturally thought of this method. So, I stuck a garlic slice on my thigh without hesitation. Unexpectedly, this method really worked, and the boil got better.

However, what I didn't expect was that just when the boil on this side had improved, a new one appeared on the right side of my thigh! Faced with this situation, I could only do the same thing again and continue to stick a piece of garlic on my right thigh. At the same time, I actually bought ointment specifically for treating boils, but the effect was not ideal after using it. That's why I remembered the successful experience of using garlic to treat corns a few years ago. If a new boil hadn't grown later, I'm afraid I wouldn't have finally chosen to take anti-inflammatory drugs to solve the problem.

Just when I was worried about the acne on my thigh, Mr. L happened to be in a hurry to have someone come over these days because the construction site was short of security, so he asked me to go over earlier. I couldn't stand the repeated urging, so I gritted my teeth and came out, so it became more and more serious. The garlic patch didn't work. It became more and more serious. I had to choose to see a doctor, and the disease had to be cured by taking medicine.

But now the construction site is desolate, there is no possibility of a hospital or clinic. It seems that I can only wait until after get off work to go to other places outside to find a pharmacy. Fortunately, after my colleague's introduction, I remembered that there was a village in front of the construction site when I first came to this site. Since there is a village, there must be a pharmacy and a clinic. It's just that the town is relatively remote, and the place is also relatively desolate. I heard that it is going to be built into a large-scale contracting project, so in the future there will be everything here, such as restaurants, supermarkets, etc. There will be electricity in the village, and even clinics and hospitals will be fully equipped, but at present there is nothing, everything is still very cumbersome and complicated!

Since there was really no better choice, I had to head towards the small village at the foot of the mountain. But it was several kilometers away from here! The only feasible way was to rush there after get off work in the evening. The reason why I had to run back and forth so hard was actually entirely out of consideration for the progress of my work, for fear that it would delay my work. During this period of time, my thigh root has been in unbearable pain. If I don't take anti-inflammatory drugs in time for treatment, I'm afraid that even normal walking will become extremely difficult! In desperation, I can only rely on taking anti-inflammatory drugs to slightly relieve the symptoms.

Not only that, even on weekdays, you need to take some anti-inflammatory drugs in moderation, maybe you can recover faster. But what is extremely embarrassing is that if you go too late at night, the pharmacy will be closed. If you don't take some anti-inflammatory drugs in time, I'm afraid the injury will worsen further, and it is very likely to penetrate into the bone marrow. At this point, I can only rush towards the pharmacy. Fortunately, the sun had not yet set when I got off work, and the light was still sufficient, at least I could barely see the road ahead. But no one could have expected that I would encounter such a thing on the night after work on the first day... Fortunately, there were street lights there to illuminate, so I could pass smoothly.

Go to the factories on both sides of the path to find the pharmacy. They specialize in dismantling work! Whether it is fans, motors or air conditioners, the waste items will be collected and then transported here by the waste collectors for dismantling! This is actually a recycling resource processing plant! The workers will disassemble these things and take out the copper frames, copper pipes and other useful materials inside! Then sell these copper pipes for money! The whole environment is really a bit dark, and the pollution is quite serious! But there is nothing we can do about it. Every place has its own unique way of survival! As the saying goes: "Live by the mountain, eat by the mountain; live by the water, eat by the water." This place is relatively not very wealthy! Of course, there are also some relatively wealthy individual places! Look at this street again, it is simply a mountain of garbage!

It was disgusting! The sight in front of me made me want to vomit. A small hill of garbage lay across the middle of the road, blocking the way forward. The garbage piled up like a mountain, emitting a foul odor that was unbearable. What was worse was that there were strange bamboos growing on both sides of the road. They were tall and slender, different from the common bamboos.

Faced with such a situation, it was obviously impossible to go around, so I had to choose to step over the garbage. However, the garbage was so disgusting, and the sticky and dirty feeling under my feet made me feel disgusted. I walked carefully, trying to avoid touching the filth in the garbage.

Walking along this road, because there were factories nearby for a long time, the surrounding environment looked very dilapidated and desolate. I didn't see a pharmacy along the way, which made me a little anxious. I had no choice but to continue walking down and then turn. At that corner, I finally saw something different.

It turns out that there is a small village or town hidden here. It is quietly located at the foot of the mountain, like a paradise. The houses are scattered and the streets are narrow and clean, giving people a sense of tranquility and peace. Maybe I can find what I need in this place.

There are no skyscrapers or bustling commercial streets here. Those who make a living by growing and selling vegetables have naturally made a fortune, and those who work in the waste recycling industry have made a lot of money. However, in sharp contrast, the environmental pollution problem here is extremely serious. Just on the road I just walked, looking around, there are all kinds of garbage everywhere. People throw them around without any scruples. These garbage piles up like mountains and have even completely blocked some roads. As for the villagers here... I have met them once. It is really inconvenient for us to comment too much on their behavior. After all, this is the outside world, so it is better not to meddle in other people's business. Since we are unable to change the current environment, the only thing we can do is to try to adapt to it. Well, that's it, let everything go with the flow and take things as they come.
