Harry Potter: The Atypical Alchemist

Chapter 24 "Murder on the Orient Express"

Today is the weekend, which means that Anthony must have come back to rest very late, which means that Penelo may have already known about the projector.

Without enough time to think about it, Stone took out his wand and swept it across his body. He hurriedly adjusted his clothes and rushed out of the dormitory.

The projector was in the most conspicuous position in the common room, and there were several sofas next to it, indicating that Anthony was definitely not the only one watching last night.

"It's over." Stone had a bad feeling.

And this premonition soon came true.

——Penello walked in from outside the common room.

She smiled and her first sentence was:

"Have you had a good rest last night?"

Stone nodded stiffly:

"it is good."

"Really?" Penello was still smiling, "But that's not what I heard Anthony said?"

"Ah ha ha ha..." Stone smiled awkwardly, already cursing in his heart.

——The dog thief Goldstein dared to sell me!

"Okay." Penello put away his smile, walked over and gave Stone a shudder, "I brought you breakfast."

After saying that, she handed the box in her other hand to Stone.

"Hey-" Stone took the breakfast and sat on the sofa in the common room.

Penello also sat down, looked at Stone, suddenly thought of something, and said:

"By the way, I just met your little girlfriend."

"Pfft -" Stone spat out the pumpkin juice in his mouth, "What? Where did I get my girlfriend?"

"That little girl named Hermione."

"We're just friends, don't talk nonsense!" Stone explained hurriedly.

"Oh--"

Penello gave a meaningful look. The girl just now had inexplicable hostility. Although it was very subtle, she could still feel it.

The two of them had never spoken, and had only had a brief interaction through Stone, and the source of the animosity was obvious.

But it seemed that Stone didn't feel anything. It was probably that the girl didn't even know her feelings. Of course Penello would not tell the truth, she still wanted to watch the show.

"Okay, that's what I misunderstood." Penello said, "Anyway, she proposed to come to our college to watch a movie, and I agreed. As long as she can answer the questions on the door correctly, she can come in."

"Well -" Stone wiped the pumpkin juice from the corner of his mouth, "Then she should be fine."

"Uh-" Penello raised his eyebrows, "You know this person quite well!"

"...She's smart, as any first grader knows."

"What about you?" Penello smiled, "I think you are the smartest."

"No, it's best to forget about me."

"Okay, they will be here in a moment, be ready."

"What are you ready for?"

"Let's play a movie."

"Just leave it to Anthony, he can do it," Stone said.

He has a slight difficulty in choosing. Before the order of the films was not disrupted, he could still watch them one by one. However, it has been disrupted, and they have been played many times (without him watching them). Just leave it all to Anthony.

He is going back to design new symbols - because of what happened last night.

There are very few spells that can be learned in the first grade, and there are almost no combat-related spells. He wants to try to increase some combat power through alchemy.

When he returned to the dormitory and was writing and drawing, Anthony woke up, went out to have breakfast, and when he came back, he asked Stone to watch a movie.

"Okay-" Stone capped the pen.

The projector was placed on the table by the window, the sofa was in front of the desk, and the three little Gryffindors were sitting in the middle. Next to them were a lot of unknown Ravenclaw students. Each Ravenclaw student exuded an aura called wisdom. The trio sat at attention.

Seeing Stone come out, the embarrassment on their faces disappeared instantly. Hermione smiled and waved, letting him sit next to her.

No one spoke, Anthony sat next to the projector, Penello pulled out his wand and waved it, all the windows were covered with curtains, and the lounge turned into a dark space.

‘There are fixed procedures! ’ Stone thought.

After a sparse sound, Anthony put the film into the projector.

"Click——"

The curtain opens, and the movie title - "Murder on the Orient Express"

The story begins on a dark night when a baby girl named Daisy is kidnapped. She comes from a prominent family called Armstrong. A series of flashbacks reveal the interpersonal relationships related to Daisy and how her parents cope - redemption. .

At the end of the flashback, the baby girl was killed, Mrs. Armstrong was so heartbroken that she died in childbirth, the premature baby also failed to survive, Mr. Armstrong committed suicide, and the maid who was under suspicion committed suicide in exchange for innocence.

Then five years later, the famous Detective Poirot had just finished a case and boarded a train - the Orient Express.

This train is very unusual. It is the coldest time of winter, but the VIP box is full.

On the train, an old man named Ratchett recognized Poirot and asked him to protect him. Poirot refused, and Ratchett was assassinated that night.

Heavy snow closed the mountains and the train was forced to stop. The line director who was traveling with him was a good friend of Poirot. He did not want to hand over his passengers to the police for interrogation, so he asked Poirot to investigate, and Poirot readily agreed.

In the first round of investigation, they found out the cause of death of Ratchett, who was knocked unconscious and then stabbed twelve times.

They learned Ratchett's true identity - Cassetti, the culprit who led to the Armstrong tragedy.

Murder becomes revenge.

But the investigation continues.

Heavy snow closed the mountains and the train stopped, indicating that the murderer was among the passengers. There were thirteen people in the VIP carriage, all of whom were suspected, so Poirot chose to question them one by one.

When the movie came to the end of the question, there were some subtle sounds in the Ravenclaw common room:

"Oh, I see."

Poirot in the movie seemed to have come to a conclusion. Hermione heard this voice again at this time. She looked around to find out who had found the murderer, and then found that nearly half of the Ravenclaw students showed their understanding. The expressions on everyone's faces, including Stone's, looked more expectant in his eyes.

She was a little anxious, so she leaned into Stone's ear and asked in a low voice:

"Did you find out who the murderer was?"

"Do you really want to know? This is a spoiler~"

"Emm..." Hermione frowned in confusion, "Then can you tell me some clues?"

"...How about I just tell you directly?"

"No!" Hermione said eagerly, her voice a little louder. She looked around with a red face, and found that no one cared, then she lowered her voice and said, "Okay, I'll tell you what I found. What do you think?" If something is wrong, point it out.”

"Okay." Stone stared at the screen and nodded in agreement.

"Everyone has an alibi, I'm even more suspicious..."

"Everyone's alibi was provided by someone else."

"Isn't that natural?" Hermione asked curiously.

"Then did you find that this proof formed a cycle? And everyone is lying and covering up something."

"You mean, everyone...?"

"Yes, and the secretary brother, what he said, 'I will send him to the court and accept the trial of twelve jurors.' Think about how many times the deceased was stabbed?"

"Twelve stabs! Was it exposed so early?" Hermione's eyes widened, "But the number of people is wrong, there are thirteen suspects!"

"There was a couple among them, the most beautiful lady, she should be with her husband." Stone said, "Her husband's life is very clear and well-documented, unlike other people."

"So that's it!" Hermione tapped her palm, "Can you all analyze so many things?"

"Be careful, you can do it too."

"But you have found the murderer, why are you still staring at the screen so reluctantly?"

"Because it's a revenge story!" Stone stared at the screen intently, "The Avengers are also murderers, and we want to know their endings."

"They should be caught, right?" Hermione said, "They killed someone after all."

"No, no, no, no." Stone shook his finger, "Poirot is a detective, not a policeman, and not a judge. He can completely rely on his personal likes and dislikes."

Hearing this, Hermione also narrowed her eyes and looked at the screen.

In fact, after Poirot questioned everyone, the movie came to an end. At this time, everyone was gathered together, just waiting for Poirot to announce the results of the investigation.

Poirot gave two results and two choices.

1. There was indeed a fabricated murderer, a mafia, who killed the deceased and left the train.

2. The thirteen passengers in this carriage are all murderers.

The choice was placed in the hands of the line director - the murderer had already left the train.

"Clap clap clap-"

Applause erupted on the train and in the Ravenclaw common room in the movie.

On the curtain, the heavy snow was swept away, trains resumed traffic, and the movie ended.

"Huh -" Stone breathed a long sigh of relief and stretched.

Hermione followed suit.

At this time, Stone had already sat down and accidentally glanced at Hermione next to him, catching a glimpse of her curves at a young age.

"Ahem!" Stone quickly looked away, and his index finger automatically climbed up the wing of his nose, rubbing it back and forth.

The last rays of light from the film faded and Penello waved her wand, sending natural light into the lounge.

"It's a wonderful movie, thank you for letting me come over." Hermione stood up and turned to Stone.

Stone still lowered his head, "It has nothing to do with me, just thank Senior Penello."

"Well - thank you everyone." Hermione said to all the Ravenclaw students.

"You're welcome." Penello was the first to respond. At the same time, her eyes flicked between Hermione and Stone with interest. Seeing that Stone was stunned again, she said loudly: "Stone, why don't you go see your female friend off?"

"Oh, alright."

Stone stood up and led them down the Ravenclaw Tower and back to the dormitory. A small accident can't distract him, study is the main business.

At the same time, on the way back to Ravenclaw, the three little ones were still discussing the plot just now.

At the end, Ron said with emotion, "The people in Ravenclaw are so smart. They could spot the murderer so early. I only figured it out after listening to Stone's analysis."

"Do you really understand? I mean now?" Harry asked suspiciously.

"Well -" Ron blushed, "If I have the chance, I will look at it again, but Stone's analytical skills are indeed very strong. Do you want to ask him to help analyze your matter?"

"This..." Harry fell into deep thought.
