Mission Log – Solar Day 30

The past few days have been very busy. Soil doubling went well. The potatoes have been planted in the ground. The inflatable tent was deployed and connected to the air supply from the living area. The fuel generator of the upgraded vehicle is now moved next to the living area and is ready to compress Martian air into a liquid that can be easily transferred anytime and anywhere. Most of the shell of Xiaoma's spaceship has been removed; it also includes the cargo airlock, some attached cables, the spacecraft's main environment maintenance system, four heaters, and a lot of pipelines. According to my guess, Belongs to the cooling system of the spacecraft. Area e has been completely inspected, and the entire process was recorded on video (see attachment). No major problems such as faults and settlement holes were found.

Everyone is going to take a day off today. It looked like the ponies had just conducted an emergency space suit drill, which seemed much more orderly than the complete chaos in the dust storm on Sol 6. In fact, they are like a professional and well-trained team that sometimes overturns due to carelessness.

Of course I forgave them for the cobblestone missile earlier, but that doesn't mean I forgot about it. And naturally I have not forgotten it in my subconscious mind. I had a nightmare last night. I dreamed that Dragonfly and Starlight were playing a magic laser tag battle in the living area, and I was following behind them, busy repairing the holes in the canvas of the living cabin because the fireball stole it. He took all our space suits and helmets and hid them in his pile of gold coins.

As the children on the show end their travels and most join a garage band, the ponies' interest in the Partridges begins to fade. What we saw last night was that Danny did something he shouldn't have done at his age and got the whole family into trouble. Today I was planning on doing something a little different - from Shirley Jones to The Muppet Show, just how bad Lewis's taste in entertainment can be; but after watching today's episode of The Partridge Family, I It's clear that ponies kind of like the show; and considering we're here for four long years, any form of entertainment has to be put to good use.

But then I still have to try to pick a show that is straightforward to watch. Starlight told me this morning that she won't be using magic again for the next week. Includes psychic translation spell. This means that except for the English vocabulary she has learned, there will no longer be conversations in English in the short term. As a result, my language classes will naturally become unsustainable.

What is the reason for Xingguang's decision? Because she once again ran out of batteries while using magic to dismantle the magical metal skin on their spaceship. And apparently Starlight's plan to deal with the perchlorate in the cave soil would require a lot of magic - more than what she used to lift the ship from the impact crater. So she was going to focus on recharging her energy in the coming days, while injecting her magical energy reserves into the battery for later use.

The main topic of chat with Starlight today is water. The soil treated previously has begun to dry out; and we have been too busy with EVA in recent days to water it, and the overall progress has been seriously behind schedule. Actually, today probably shouldn't be a day off, but we've been working continuously for several days and need to take a breather. We will continue to work tomorrow as there will be another soil doubling in just three or four days before there will be enough soil for the inflatable tent. Starlight agreed, so tomorrow it's another full day of watering and fighting the soil.

I have a weird feeling today. Originally, if the mission had not gone wrong on Sol 6, today would have been my last complete mission day on Mars. On this day, we will load selected soil and rock samples onto the Mars upgrade vehicle, and the rest will be tagged and left in place for exploration a hundred years later. We will discuss the rendezvous with Hermes on Mission Day 156, as well as the two hundred and forty day return flight. Lewis will be fully responsible, and NASA will supervise us throughout the ten-minute delay. I will summarize the scientific practices I conducted during this period, comply with the orders issued, and enjoy this period of my life at the same time. best time.

And now I'm preparing to show a movie (no popcorn yet) to five aliens whose food reserves will be depleted in the next fifty-five solar days unless we can find a way to make a bunch of miracles happen at the same time occur. I'm doing science, while on the other end my guests are doing magic; and we're not doing this to follow NASA's instructions for scientific research or anything, but to ensure that we can survive until the Ares IV rescue arrives on Sol 1412.

It's really sad to think about.

I've always scoffed at Lewis's poor taste in entertainment, but now it seems that there might be nothing wrong with her in light of the extremely silly depictions of these shows.

I just remembered something. Lewis clearly loves content from the 1970s, and the Beatles and Agatha Christie pieces in Johansson's personal collection prove her taste for Britishness. So why don’t they work together to bring the absolute pinnacle of television entertainment – Doctor Who – to Mars? A seventies classic, British in style, frightened and optimistic, perfect for waking up an astronaut every morning in space. The 1970s series starred Jon Pertwee and Tom Baker - the two best Doctors besides David Tennant!

Not to mention we really, really need the TARDIS right now. It doesn’t even need to be able to fly, it’s enough for me to have that much interior space, including that huge closet full of clean clothes, and—excuse me—a separate personal bedroom.

Separate bedroom. It’s such a luxury for me now. I could even give up the swimming pool in the middle of the library for this.

Okay, enough nonsense. We've already seen the Patriots, so how about some action movies that require no verbal explanation? The decision is made, it’s up to Justice Striker.

Mission Log – Solar Day 30 (2)

Jumping cars, dynamite arrows, and humans acting stupidly. The ponies looked a little confused, but the bug and the dragon liked it - especially the dragon.

Apparently I completely changed the Fireball's overall opinion of my race. I'm his best friend in the whole world now. (Well, he only had five choices after all, but still...)

And now I know how to say "car" in Pony language. The reason I knew it meant "car" was because Dragonfly said that word while watching, and within a second the other four present all said the pony-speak for "no." I think it is indeed necessary to teach them how to operate the air brake before, but it seems that I will not plan to teach them how to drive the rover...
