Chapter 553: Living in an Orphanage
At the door of the orphanage, Ling stood quietly, his eyes wandering as if he was recalling something.
"This is the orphanage Otto was talking about."
This orphanage is ordinary, just like many other orphanages.
Its architectural appearance is simple, without too much decoration, and it is just composed of several simple houses. The walls may have faded a little and look a little old. There is a small open space in the yard, which may be a place for children to play, but there are no special facilities or playground equipment.
Suddenly, a little blonde girl ran over with an innocent smile on her face.
"You are the person the bishop was talking about!" the little girl asked in a sweet voice, her eyes full of curiosity.
Ling lowered his head slightly and looked at the cute little girl. His eyes became gentle. He nodded gently and replied, "Yes, I am."
The little girl's smile became even brighter. She walked closer to Zero, looked up at him and said, "My name is Bianca, nice to meet you!" Her voice was like the sound of nature, and for some reason it made Zero happy.
Bianca always feels familiar.
Zero crouched down until he was eye level with Bianca, he smiled and said, "Nice to meet you too, Bianca." He noticed that Bianca's blonde hair shone like the sun and her eyes were like bright stars.
Bianca continued, "Why are you here?"
A sense of confusion surged in Zero's heart. He touched Bianca's head and replied, "I was tricked by Otto."
"You can call me Zero."
"Zero, what a strange name."
Don’t touch my head casually, or you won’t grow taller!
Noticing Zero's actions, Bianca felt unhappy but didn't say it.
Bianca stared at the person in front of her, and an indescribable sense of familiarity came over her. It was a unique smell, as if it had been imprinted deep in her memory.
Bianca felt it quietly, trying to catch that clue.
This smell seemed familiar, but she couldn't remember exactly where it was. It lingered at the tip of her nose, like a warm breeze, gently caressing her soul and making her feel extremely at ease.
Bianca's eyes roamed over Zero, trying to find answers in his every move.
Zero's eyes gave her a sense of déjà vu. Where did that smell come from?
Is it his perfume? His scent? Or some deeper connection?
Bianca's curiosity was aroused, and she wanted to find out the story behind this familiar smell.
Perhaps, it was fate that allowed her to find a sense of belonging in this person.
Bianca wanted to get to know him better, to explore the secrets behind that familiar taste.
"If it's someone Otto is talking about, it's me."
Hearing Zero's words, Bianca nodded and made sure she had recognized the wrong person.
"Hi, my name is Bianca."
Bianca held out her hand.
"Hello, Zero."
Zero also reached out and held Bianca's small hand.
"Um?!"
The moment she held him, Bianca felt the familiar feeling coming from Zero's body becoming stronger and stronger.
I always feel like I've experienced this before...
"Any luggage?"
"Luggage? There's some."
Zero said as he looked at the suitcase behind him.
"Hey! What are you doing?"
Zero looked at the little girl in front of him who wanted to help with his luggage and quickly stopped her.
"What are you doing?"
"Can't you see?"
The corners of Ling's mouth twitched. Normally, it's totally wrong to let a little girl carry such a heavy suitcase, right?
"Are you helping me with my luggage?"
"Can't you see that? Are you a fool?"
Bianca looked at Zero oddly.
"I'm not stupid."
Zero looked at Bianca in front of him and was about to stop her.
But he saw Bianca easily pick up her suitcase.
Zero looked at Bianca in surprise as she was totally effortless.
You know, it's very difficult to carry this suitcase even if you do it yourself.
After all, not to mention my weak body, it would be painful if I talked too much.
Obviously, Ling has taken good care of himself during this period.
Go to bed early and get up early every day, keep exercising...
This one doesn't seem to have it.
But the result is that there is indeed no change in the body.
It was as if his body, having accomplished nothing, had been confirmed to be inherently fragile.
The two walked into the orphanage. The rooms were simply and neatly decorated, with beds, tables, chairs and other basic furniture, but they all looked old.
There may be some children's paintings or handicrafts hanging on the walls, revealing a trace of innocence and hard work. There is no luxurious decoration or advanced technology equipment here, only basic necessities of life.
Overall, this orphanage gives people a simple and real feeling. It silently provides a warm home for children who have lost their families. Although it is ordinary, it is also full of hope and love.
Bianca led Zero through the gate of the orphanage. This old building revealed traces of time, with some peeling walls and old wooden floors on the ground, which made creaking sounds.
As soon as you enter the hall, you can see rows of worn-out chairs and a table filled with toys and books. The sunlight shines through the windows onto the ground, forming patches of bright light.
As they walked, Bianca introduced the history and current situation of the orphanage to Zero. It used to be a lively place, but as time went by, more and more children were adopted away, and now there are only a few children left.
They walked through the rooms and saw children playing or reading quietly. Some of the children looked up curiously when they saw Bianca and Zero, but soon immersed themselves in their own world.
Bianca took Ling to a special room filled with children's handicrafts and paintings. These works were full of children's innocence and creativity, which made Ling feel very warm.
“No work of yours?”
Zero suddenly asked.
I noticed that there didn't seem to be any paintings drawn by Bianca.
"mine..."
Bianca said with a playful wink after hearing what Zero said.
"Brother Ling, can you guess where my words are?"
Bianca blinked mischievously and looked at Zero with a mysterious smile. She seemed to be challenging Zero's observation and imagination, asking him to guess which painting was painted by Bianca?
It seems there is a reward for guessing correctly.
"Tsk, so you just have to guess?"
Zero came to the nearest child.
"What...what do you want to do? I won't tell you."
"I will never betray Sister Bianca."
He said it seriously like a child.
"Just say it, it's not a bad thing anyway."
"No."
The child shook his head and said very seriously.
"I can never tell you, a bad guy like you."
"I'm a bad guy? What did I do?"
