HP: The New God from Hogwarts
Chapter 243: The End of the Childhood Chapter
The dance was scheduled on Christmas Day.
Along with the festival, heavy snow fell in Ireland, and the entire Hogwarts Castle, including the Quidditch field and the Forbidden Forest, was dyed pure white.
Hagrid hung small red lanterns on Beauxbatons' carriage, which looked like Santa Claus's sleigh on the snowy night, carrying holiday blessings.
In the kitchen next to the Hufflepuff dormitory, the elves were busy as all kinds of hot delicacies were brought to the white carved table in the hall.
As expected, Hermione's dance partner was Ron, and Hannah's partner was Neville. The two couples were dressed festively and looked like they were getting married.
Jenny's dance partner was the Ravenclaw boy whom she had liked since the first grade, while Vivian thought that all men were smelly, so her dance partner was Sikleia, who wore a cowhide hat and a denim sweater.
Although Tao Wu agreed to be Newt's dance partner, Harry, Cedric and Draco booked her for the second, third, fourth and fifth dances.
She was wearing a moonlight white fishtail dress today, holding hands with Newt who was wearing a black suit, looking like the white moonlight and the noble young man in the Middle Ages.
All the students were crowded in the foyer of the auditorium, making a lot of noise. Draco and Harry kept following Tao Wu's gaze. Before the dance started, they only knew that she had chosen her opening dance partner but never found out who it was.
Now that we are standing here, we know that losing to a centenarian is a bit of a blow to them.
The blond young master looked at Newt with particular dissatisfaction.
"I really don't understand why you chose an old man as your dance partner?"
Tao Wu stood on tiptoe and looked at Newt's baby face, which was particularly easy to look young, for a minute, then asked Draco: "He doesn't look old at all, he still looks charming."
Newt was held in her hand, pouting, "Is this how you use Remaining Charm?"
Tao Wu shrugged: "I have the final say."
The noisy crowd suddenly quieted down, and the students made way for them. Tao Wu looked back curiously, only to see Krum appear.
He was wearing a fur-collared coat that looked very warlord-like today. When Tao Wu saw the girl holding his arm, her jaw almost dropped.
The black-haired girl had a gentle smile on her pretty face. Her jet-black hair was tied behind her head with a pearl headband. She was wearing a light yellow cheongsam that fully displayed her classical oriental charm.
Tao Wu smacked her lips. She didn't expect that Qiu's dance partner this time would be Krum. However, it was not surprising that an outstanding and beautiful girl like her would become the focus of attention no matter what the situation was.
She subconsciously looked at Cedric, and the gentle senior badger responded to her gaze, pursed his lips and curved his eyebrows at her, leaving a gentle smile.
Perhaps because of her intervention, the direction of the story has changed dramatically. Now Cedric and Qiu don’t have much interaction, and they just nod and say hello to each other when they meet.
"Oh my, Krum's dance partner is actually her." Draco was particularly rude to Qiu. He pushed the corners of his eyes upwards with his two index fingers, making his eyes into a long and thin line, like squinting eyes, and shook his head at Qiu.
Seeing his actions, Qiu blushed. Although she was a British Chinese born in Ireland, she knew that this action was full of insults.
She also understood that Draco was discriminating against her bloodline.
Lucius particularly looked down on the Chinese. He considered himself noble and looked down on people with yellow skin. Draco learned from his experience and followed suit.
This is just his personality. If he discriminates against someone, he will release his malice without hesitation, just like he did to Taowu and Harry in the first grade.
Only later did I succumb to their truth.
Newt and Harry both frowned at the same time. They strongly disapproved of Draco's behavior.
Krum's eyes fell on Hermione, who was standing next to Ron in a pink dress. He didn't notice that his female companion was insulted and discriminated against by his little fanboy.
Qiu clenched her fists and was a little angry. She wanted to have a good argument with Draco. Even though she was British, she was proud of her Chinese blood.
Before she could speak, Tao Wu kicked Draco in the knee, forcing him to kneel on one knee in front of Qiu. She pressed his shoulder with her right hand and ordered gloomily:
"Apologize to the senior for your insult to her!"
Draco felt very aggrieved. After everything he had been through, he automatically classified himself as one of Tao Wu's people. He didn't understand why she would deal with him for an outsider, and in public.
He tilted his head and looked at Harry, subconsciously wanting to ask him for help, but Harry just frowned and shook his head: "You should apologize to the senior."
Since he didn't want to get beaten, and the attention of the surrounding students was drawn to Krum, Draco didn't want to embarrass himself, so he lowered his head to Qiu cowardly:
"I'm sorry, Senior. I shouldn't have insulted you."
After saying that, he turned around and looked at Tao Wu and blinked, indicating that he had already apologized and it was time to forgive himself.
"besides!"
Tao Wu did not let him go.
Draco pursed his lips, his mind spinning rapidly. He remembered that in all the time he had known Tao Wu, she seemed to have always liked China. He was just dancing in her minefield.
"I'm sorry, Senior. I shouldn't have looked down on your bloodline and your country of origin."
His apology this time was much more sincere, not because he suddenly had respect for Hua Xia, but simply because he was afraid of being overwhelmed by Tao Wu.
Tao Wu also understood that he did not really respect this country, but she did not care. Anyway, she would beat him as long as he showed a trace of disrespect. It would be fine as long as he could keep up the appearance for the rest of his life.
When the clock tower struck eight at eight o'clock, Professor McGonagall slowly walked over and opened the door of the auditorium. The students entered the auditorium one after another under the instructions of the professors.
The warriors and their dance partners followed Professor McGonagall into the auditorium amid cheers and applause.
Newt walked into the auditorium holding Tao Wu's hand. He quickly glanced around and lowered his head to whisper in Tao Wu's ear:
"Why didn't I see the grandson of Dumbledore and Aberforth? I heard that you and Thea took the child to buy women's clothes so that he could be Dumbledore's dance partner at the ball. Thea even said it was called something else. Yes, colorful clothes to entertain parents, that's what they call it in China."
Tao Wu raised her head, and her gentle breath gently patted his earlobe: "Newt, I'm afraid we can't dance."
"What?" Newt looked at her in confusion.
She turned and looked out the window.
"boom--"
A huge explosion was heard from the sky above Hogwarts Castle, a huge flame lit up outside the window, and the ice fairy tale died in the heat.
The auditorium was filled with students' screams.
Tao Wu crossed her arms and looked out the window indifferently——
The war is about to begin.
