HP: Embrace the Darkness
Chapter 317 Teaching the Patronus Charm (Part )
Aces looked at Draco, who understood and took a step forward as the second appearance.
"Calling God to Guard"
Different from Hermione's weak white light, Draco's wand exuded a large amount of silver smoke, shining brightly in the night, and the prototype of an animal was vaguely visible inside.
Draco was proud of the audience in his heart, and his face was equally confident, "How is it?"
Although his gray eyes were filled with "come and praise me", Draco still pursed his lips reservedly and looked at Asseth with an expectant look.
Aces ignored him, but stared closely at the animal prototype in the smoke.
Is this... a unicorn?
The animal formed by the erratic smoke was so blurry that even Asseth couldn't tell whether it was a unicorn or not.
If it really is a unicorn...
Aces looked at Draco who was still angry about not getting praise because he didn't know why.
Then this is really stupid luck.
"Why have you been looking at me?"
Draco reminded dissatisfiedly, "Is there anything you haven't said yet?"
Aces raised the corners of his mouth, reached out and rubbed Draco's head again.
"You did a great job and I'm proud of you."
This compliment was a bit too grand. A blush appeared on Draco's pale face and he said coyly:
"Actually...actually it's not that big of a deal."
Aces looked at Draco amused, and then waved to Harry behind him, "Come on, Mr. Potter, give it a try."
Harry stepped forward with the wand in hand and waved the wand as Arthas taught him before.
"Call the gods to protect you!"
There was less silver light than Draco but more than Hermione, lingering at the tip of the sword, and then extinguished after a while.
Harry pursed his lips, not daring to look at Ass's face.
Considering that this was considered privacy, Artes waved his wand to place a soundproofing spell between the two of them before asking Harry.
"There is no problem with spells and gestures. The problem is the happy things that appear in your mind. What were you thinking about just now?"
"This is my first time sitting on a broomstick and playing Quidditch." Harry said softly.
After hearing his words, Asseth's eyes were complicated and difficult to distinguish for a moment, and the eyes he looked at Harry were a little softer than before.
Being a savior is not that easy.
"Remember the Mirror of Erised?"
Harry was reminded by him and thought of his parents he saw in his sunglasses, and his expression turned nostalgic.
"try again."
Aces looked at his face and thought it was time to give him a reminder.
"Call the gods to protect you!"
A brighter light appeared than before, and it had a vague shape of steam.
Aces nodded, asked Harry to practice next to him, and walked to the last student.
Ron was not a fool. He dared to talk to Artes like that before because Artes was a student like him and he had never understood Artes' strength.
Now that I know how powerful Ass is, I don’t dare to confront him tit for tat.
Moreover, in the past few years of school, I have become more aware of it. Ases has a good relationship with his brother, so he no longer has the extreme ideas he had before.
"Professor Cavendish."
He gave a low cry.
Aces nodded, raised his hand and pointed at the wand, signaling him to start casting the spell.
Ron held the wand hard and shouted like the others just now, "Calling the Gods to protect you!"
The wand's silver light, fainter than Hermione's, appeared, lit up for two seconds and then went out in front of several people's eyes.
Asseth raised his eyebrows slightly, turned his eyes around Ron's clenched palm, and spoke to remind him.
"You are too nervous, Mr. Weasley. I am not a dementor. There is no need for you to be so nervous."
"do it again."
Hearing this, Ron blushed, not because he was angry, but because he felt embarrassed and ashamed.
"Okay...okay"
"Call the gods to protect you!"
The effect this time was a little better than last time, but it still faded away quickly.
"That's almost it. You go practice first."
Seeing that there were no problems elsewhere, Artes sent Ron to practice and called Harry, who made the fastest progress.
"Be mentally prepared. The dementor is caught by the white tiger and will not actively attack you, but its cold aura will not disappear."
Harry nervously clenched his wand and nodded to Arthas, looking at him with eyes full of trust.
Artes gestured to the white tiger, who walked up to Artes with the dementor in his mouth. The dementor was already dying from being played by it, and now it could only barely raise its head, facing the direction of Harry.
"Calling God to Guard!"
There was a hint of panic in Harry's voice. Even if this Dementor did not pose a threat to him, he could not forget the feeling he had in front of the Dementor before.
This time the tip of the wand did not emit silver smoke as its owner expected.
Harry clenched his wand again, and without Artes' instructions, he shouted again: "Calling the Guardians!"
However, he had lost his cool now, and the spell did not obey his orders at all.
Aces stood aside, quietly watching Harry's confusion and panic, and couldn't help but frown.
"Keep calm, Mr. Potter."
The man's gentle and steady voice seemed to come from a very far away place and flowed into his ears. The ancient sound inside slowly dispelled the fear in Harry's heart.
"I'm sorry, Professor Cavendish."
"Continue." Asseth said concisely.
Harry raised his wand again and took a deep breath: "Huh...huh God's Guard!"
Silver light suddenly appeared, and a large cloud of steam-like smoke surrounded the Dementor. The Dementor shrank its head, seeming a little afraid, and then relaxed when the smoke came into contact with it.
Compared to the devil-like white tiger just now, this level of smoke can only be regarded as scratching an itch.
"You've made some progress, let's take a rest first."
Artes noticed Harry's pale face out of the corner of his eye and asked him to rest first.
Harry felt very accomplished about being able to face and defeat the Dementors just now, and he still couldn't forget it. He looked back at the Dementors after taking a few steps.
The next person to face the dementors was Hermione who volunteered. Apart from Draco and Harry, she made the fastest progress, but Draco was stopped by a look from Asseth, and no one could compete with her.
Ron now wished it wasn't his turn.
"Professor Cavendish, I'm ready."
The studious little witch took a deep breath and looked at the dementors in a prepared manner.
The white tiger loosened his teeth slightly to leave some space. The dementor inside felt the relaxation of strength and immediately broke free from it and went straight to Asseth.
Rushing in front of Aces, it sensed something and immediately braked to a stop, running in a panic in the direction it came from.
Halfway through the run, I saw the nightmare white tiger again. I immediately braked and started spinning around in a daze.
Aces watched the dementor scurrying around like a headless fly, with the corner of his mouth twitching slightly and looking at the white tiger suspiciously.
Could it be that he was fooled by it?
