HP: Embrace the Darkness

Chapter 674 Parting on bad terms

The pumpkin juice that Voldemort pushed over was quite inconsistent with his own temperament. Not only did it smell sweet and delicious, but it also had steam rising from it, making it look particularly warm in the humid and cold air.

Dumbledore is very reliable when it comes to serious matters.

He did not pick up the pumpkin juice immediately, but thanked Voldemort for his hospitality before slowly extending his claws towards the sweet and delicious pumpkin juice.

Grindelwald grabbed the pumpkin juice at the last second before Dumbledore took a sip and threw it to the ground.

Voldemort's expression remained unchanged, but Dumbledore gave Grindelwald a helpless look.

"Ha." Watching the principal and an old man exchange glances at each other at close range, Voldemort was a little annoyed. He leaned on the armrest of the sofa and interrupted the two of them, "Dumbledore, is this the love you talk about? Is it just him?"

"What do you mean by being just?" Grindelwald stood up and said with a sarcastic smile, "How dare you, an inhumane person, to judge other people's appearance?"

Voldemort looked at Grindelwald and nodded, "That makes sense, your appearance is indeed not good."

Grindelwald pointed his wand at Voldemort, "Perhaps your courage will allow you to say it one more time."

A wand was almost pointed at his head. Voldemort didn't care, but looked at Dumbledore who was watching, "What is the love you are talking about? Is he so stupid that I provoked him to anger? Or is it your indifference?"

Dumbledore looked at Voldemort, who had lost the violence in his eyes, thoughtfully, then slowly shook his head, and said thoughtfully: "No, I can give you the answer you want, and in exchange, you give me an answer."

Voldemort agreed without hesitation.

"I'm not sure everyone has the same definition of love, so you can draw from that."

Dumbledore conjured warm pumpkin juice for himself, stopped the wand held by Grindelwald, and spoke to the curious Voldemort.

"When a mother's child is in danger, her innate love for her child makes her choose to sacrifice herself to protect her child. This is maternal love."

Voldemort wiped his wand and sneered when he heard this, "Then tell me, a mother allows an involuntary child to be born and gives up on him in the future. Is this maternal love?"

Dumbledore saw Voldemort's cold expression and cautiously did not answer the question directly, but instead used a euphemistic way of saying it.

"Love and love are expressed in different ways, and maybe that mother loved her child but didn't know how to treat him to the point of hurting him."

Voldemort stroked the lines of his wand, and suddenly remembered a face full of embarrassment and anger.

"Which mother loves her husband so much that she chooses to stand by while her children experience domestic violence? Do you think this is her way of expressing her love for her children?"

Dumbledore held the warm pumpkin juice and was speechless for a moment.

Voldemort seemed to be interested and asked again, "So you think everything they give to their children in the name of mother, no matter good or bad, is love?"

Dumbledore was dumbfounded. There are many parents who love their children in this world, but there are also parents who don't love their children. How can we generalize?

Voldemort sat up straight, lost his laziness before, and said aggressively: "Then why can't I kill these losers for their own good?"

"You are changing the concept, Tom." Dumbledore looked directly into the snake's eyes that were particularly scarlet in the darkness, "And what you are talking about is not love."

Voldemort leaned back on the sofa again, "Admit it, Dumbledore, love is not as beautiful as you imagine. It is far more dirty and ugly than you imagine."

"Really?" Grindelwald said mockingly, "How come I heard that someone almost died of love."

"If you don't want to be almost unable to go back, you should keep your mouth shut." Voldemort's cold and sticky eyes fell on Grindelwald, and his tone was as bad as if he was going to cast a death curse on Grindelwald in the next second.

Grindelwald continued to provoke, "The fact that you didn't refute means that you know the reason. Voldemort, how does it feel to be defeated by the love you disdain most?"

"You deserve to die."

Voldemort softly gave Grindelwald his verdict, and then his lips moved without making a sound, and his face gradually turned pale.

The invisible curse hooked towards Grindelwald. Realizing that something was wrong, Dumbledore quickly stood up and pulled Grindelwald away, waving his wand to release the Phoenix Patronus.

The light blue phoenix let out a high-pitched and melodious cry and leaned towards the curse.

Voldemort slowly stood up and whispered a series of awkward and strange words.

At this time, the shadows on the ground suddenly began to squirm.

The largest shadow among them was particularly domineering, moving and sucking in other shadows.

As the sucking progressed smoothly, the largest shadow became larger and squirmed more fiercely. From time to time, the shadows of animals appeared and disappeared inside.

The strange thing is that when those animals appeared for the second time, they actually took on the unique characteristics of other animals, and they took on more and more characteristics.

Seeing this strange scene, Dumbledore became more wary of Voldemort and pulled Grindelwald back cautiously.

Voldemort faced them and backed away, not stopping until he was completely submerged in the shadows.

"Speaking of regrets, I have known you for so long and I have never given you a gift. But it doesn't matter. I can make up for it now. Dumbledore, I will give you this gift. I hope you can die happily."

Voldemort laughed and disappeared into the darkness.

"Al, let's get out of here first." Grindelwald felt the pressure from the unformed shadow, and pulled Dumbledore to leave.

Dumbledore couldn't figure out the bottom of the shadow, and followed Grindelwald towards the exit door.

After walking a few steps, he stopped Grindelwald.

"Stop it. Its power is increasing all the time. We can't leave."

How could Grindelwald not know, he just didn't want Dumbledore to take risks.

Now that the time is getting closer and closer to that time, he still doesn't know what Asseth wants to do. If something unexpected happens, what will Al do?

The more Grindelwald thought about it, the more worried he became. He pushed Dumbledore away with one hand and faced the shadow. "You go first, and I will try to crush this monster."

"No." Dumbledore objected.

It was not a wise thing to have a dispute here. The two of them tried to avoid each other for a few words, but in the end they both stayed.

Half an hour later, the shape of the shadow finally squirmed out.

The two old men, who were tired of waving their wands, cheered up, and then watched in stunned silence as a strange-shaped thing bulged up, transformed from a two-dimensional creature into a three-dimensional creature and ran towards them.
