HP: Embrace the Darkness

Chapter 685 Haierbo’s Sound Transmission

"Severus, are you sad for him?" Voldemort walked up behind Snape and put his arm on his shoulder, his voice cold, "Or maybe for that place."

There was a steady stream of coldness on his shoulders. Snape's expression remained unchanged as he turned his head and looked at Voldemort, "That's not the case, Master. I'm thinking about why Dumbledore would hide this from me."

"Really?" Voldemort didn't know whether he believed it or not, and tapped the chair with his wand.

Halbo felt that this was a waste of his time and impatiently tapped the table urging Voldemort to hurry up or leave now.

Voldemort turned his head to look at Haierbo. After understanding this snake language, he frowned. He silently confronted Haierbo for a while, and then regretfully put down his wand.

"Well, you're in luck."

While speaking, Voldemort's eyes did not just focus on Snape, but looked around everyone. He had no intention of letting go of these idiots who were gossiping.

Only then did the other Death Eaters realize that the Voldemort they had angered with their noise was now Snape, and they were next.

The feeling of surviving the disaster came to everyone's heart. They were grateful from the bottom of their hearts to Halpo for interrupting Voldemort. If Halpo could keep up his behavior of saving them in time, they would definitely not mind being scared.

After Voldemort failed to torture anyone, his interest was not that high. After listening to everyone's reports, he handed over a few tasks and then left.

Haierbo was the first to leave. Before leaving, he pretended to flick his snake's tail unintentionally and sent a message to Snape who was about to leave.

"Come to me."

Snape's expression and movements did not change at all, and he walked out of the conference hall as usual.

Voldemort had already left at this time, and the Death Eaters who were walking away had relaxed their nerves, chatting in twos and threes about the contents of this mission.

Lucius and Narcissa took the opportunity to walk to Snape, and Snape slowed down to cooperate with them.

Walking to a corner where there were no Death Eaters, the three of them pushed the door open and hid in the room with a tacit understanding. When there were only three of them here, Narcissa could no longer maintain her coldness and looked at Snape nervously.

"Is Draco okay?"

Snape glanced at Lucius, who was wearing low-key clothes because he wanted to see Voldemort. The resentment that had accumulated for many days finally found an outlet, and he said in a strange tone:

"He's fine, and until yesterday, he was still showing off his amazing aesthetic by walking around the lounge in his flashy treasures."

Lucius was dissatisfied.

"Why do you think Draco looks at me? I have very good aesthetics. I don't need you, a guy who wears black every day, to teach me how to wear clothes. Of course, Draco does too. I believe he has the same aesthetics as me. Senior And full of beauty.”

Snape smirked, "Same aesthetic, indeed the same aesthetic, same fancy and quirky, maybe a little bit 'innocent'."

Lucius: "..."

Although there were no unpleasant words in the words before, and there were no "Snape"-style insults, why did the words still sound so uncomfortable.

The two of them brought the topic to aesthetics, and saw that the conversation was getting more and more distorted. Narcissa, who was eager to know Draco's news, couldn't bear it any longer, and pulled away Lucius, who was about to give her friend a clothing lesson.

"What else? For example, has he been bullied? Has he eaten well? Has he..."

Narcissa held Snape's arm tightly and asked quickly. After speaking, her eyes became a little wet and she couldn't speak anymore.

A mother's deepest love and concern for her child are revealed.

Snape and Lucius were silent at the same time.

Lucius glanced at Snape, who had complicated eyes and stood as still as a sculpture, then stepped forward to pull Narcissa away and comforted:

"Sissy, don't worry. With Severus here, Draco will be fine. I just sent him a letter some time ago. He is fine."

Narcissa grabbed Lucius with her backhand and asked in disbelief: "You sent him a letter, why didn't I know about it?"

"That's a mission, Sissy. I'll explain it to you when I get back." Lucius explained in a low voice.

He comforted Narcissa and smiled apologetically at Snape, "Sorry, Severus, Sissy just hasn't seen Draco for too long, since he came back."

Snape's eyes flashed slightly, and he calmed down all his emotions in the blink of an eye. He nodded to accept Lucius' apology, "I can understand."

"Severus, you..." Lucius hesitated and stroked the snake head of the cane, and said cryptically, "Do you still remember the Quidditch World Cup we watched together?"

Snape nodded, "Of course."

Lucius's eyebrows twitched slightly, but his expression did not change at all under his control, leaving no chance for others to guess.

"I was more optimistic about the Bulgarian team at first, but unfortunately they still lost even though they got the Golden Snitch. The winner was the Irish team, remember?"

"You mean whether the team won or lost?" Snape raised his eyebrows meaningfully at Lucius' eyes that became frightened when he remembered something. "Yes, I remember. I also remember that someone lost a lot of gold galleons."

Lucius was shocked.

"Lucius? Are Severus talking about you?" Narcissa looked at Lucius again in disbelief, "How many things have you hidden from me?"

"Some." Lucius said guiltily.

Snape asked quietly, "Do you mean to hide something or just tell something?"

"Lucius!?"

Lucius was stabbed in the back by Snape many times, and his perfectly curved smile could no longer be maintained. "Severus, what happened to you today? Did you encounter any difficulties that you can't solve?"

Otherwise, why are you so venomous?

The resentment he had been holding back for many days was expressed, and Snape laughed sincerely, "I'm fine, thank you for your concern, but you should worry about yourself more."

It’s not thanks to you!

Lucius expressed his anger and dissatisfaction with his eyes angrily.

Snape pretended not to see her, bid Narcissa a polite farewell, and then left the room.

Voldemort's control over the manor was very strong. Except for Lucius, who was the owner of the manor and was able to hide it from Voldemort in the manor, no one else could hide it.

So Snape did not go directly to Herbo's room when he came out, but kept walking towards the door at a normal speed. He was betting that Herbo could find his whereabouts beyond Voldemort and guide him.

Sure enough, before he could go down the stairs, a small snake stopped him.

The corners of Snape's mouth curled up in a slight arc, and the direction of his feet naturally changed, following the little snake to the door of Haierbo's room.

The door opens automatically and slowly when there is no wind.

Snape didn't hesitate and walked directly in. He saw a big snake entangled at the head of the bed.

The big snake seemed to be sleeping. Its dark snake body was coiled in a figure eight shape, and its scales emitting a mysterious light rose and fell with its breathing.

The little snake that led the way climbed onto the bed and bumped into the big snake. The big snake opened its eyes, stretched out its head lazily, flicked its tail, and the door closed automatically.
