HP: Embrace the Darkness

Chapter 712 Traveling in the middle of the night

The letter sent by Snape was very simple. It just asked Arthas to come and get the potion when he was free. The only unusual thing was the place where it was signed.

Instead of a name written there, a quill was written.

"This……"

Aces hesitated and took the envelope away with a solemn expression. Susanna was passing by the door. Seeing this, she thought there was a sneak attack. She opened the door suddenly and looked around as if facing a formidable enemy.

"Where is the person!"

people? Where did they come from?

Asseth held up the letter and looked around blankly, "Did you bring a man back?"

Susanna was also confused, and her mind automatically searched for the key word - man.

"Which man? Do you mean you like the good wife and mother or the Russian guy with eight-pack abs and breasts?"

Asseth's expression suddenly changed, "Why is there still Russia? How many of them do you like?!"

Susanna was shocked and looked around the small greenhouse hastily. She raised her hand that could knock down a tree with one punch, ready to attack.

"There's more than one! How brave!"

When these words fell into Asseth's ears, they naturally turned to another aspect. His expression became strange, "You don't even know how many you brought back? That's really brave."

The two chatted for a long time, and it wasn't until Joel heard the sound and rushed over that they figured out the whole story.

Because there was no big problem, Joel cursed each one and left with a fifty slap in the face, leaving two people who had been scolded for no reason squatting in the greenhouse to reflect.

This way of introspection Susanna was punished by Joel countless times when she was a child, and Artes was a frequent visitor to the cellar confinement. Both of them adapted well.

It was so good that I made tea in the greenhouse, set up the barbecue, and reflected while eating and drinking.

"So, because of these words, you put on a solemn expression as if Voldemort suddenly died suddenly?" Susanna squatted next to the barbecue, looking through the letter that she had snatched by force, and couldn't believe it.

After he finished speaking, he clutched his chest with grief and said, "My great nephew, can you be successful?"

Aces refused to go along with Susanna. He was sitting on the sofa, admiring the moon with a cup of black tea. Hearing this, he raised his eyebrows slightly, raised his finger inexplicably and shook his head, "You don't understand the value of this sentence."

"You were not born when I fell in love, and you actually said I didn't understand?" Susanna slapped... the floor angrily, and stood up to tell her love history.

Aces raised his hand to interrupt her spellcasting, "Return the letter to me and let me talk about the old history."

What an insufferable bastard.

Susanna crushed the barbecue tongs, raised her hand like a dart, and threw the letter back.

The envelope brought a strong wind and hit between Asseth's fingers.

The letter contained a protective spell that had been cast long ago, knowing that it was no match for Susanna's force, so it still looked as new as if it had just been opened. Asseth was content to put the letter away, but was afraid to pat the hem of his clothes and stand up.

"Let's talk about love history next time. I have to go to work. You can eat slowly."

Aces had the highest authority in Cavendish Manor, and he could disappear from wherever he was with just a snap of his fingers.

Suzanne looked disdainful.

Take a bite of the sizzling and oily pork belly.

"Bah, you're a worthless man. He ran away with just one letter. He deserves not to be able to eat barbecue."

As midnight approaches, the cool evening breeze blows slowly, numbing the tired nerves.

The noisy world quieted down at this moment, and most people had entered a sweet dreamland. Even if they did not enter, they were drowsy and relaxed their vigilance during the day.

It was at this time that Asseth walked out of the manor.

He was dressed in a black robe, and when he walked into the dark night, he was like a dot melting into ink. He was inconspicuous at all. In addition, he didn't use any magic power, so he didn't really alert anyone who came to Spider End Alley.

Spider End Alley is even more desolate and terrifying at night.

The weeds by the river swayed and made a rustling sound. The mice poked their heads out of them and sniffed the wine bottles on the ground cautiously, trying to find the remaining food.

The dilapidated brick houses on both sides of the street are all dimly lit, and their narrow windows are like eyes staring into an abyss. It is so deep that ordinary people passing by have to consider whether there is anyone peeping inside.

The only people who can walk in this alley without scruples are those who are so drunk that they walk unsteadily.

Aces saw one.

The man could no longer walk steadily, but he still carried the wine bottle and sent himself into the giant beast's mouth in an ignorant and fearless manner.

He left a strong smell of alcohol along the road, and combined with the smell of garbage in the river, this stretch of road simply stinked.

Aces expressionlessly tightened his black robe. If he had put it before, he would have been able to block the smell with a single spell.

But not this time.

His magic power is so obvious that as soon as he uses it, the people monitoring the manor will know where he is, and it is difficult to divert all their attention to him. If an accident occurs, it will not be so easy to divert them.

Artes held his breath and took out the gun he had prepared, and walked into Spider End Alley as if he was dead.

The drunk man was walking in front of him, and the smell of alcohol was even stronger.

Two footsteps caught the drunk man's attention. He stopped and turned around while shaking the bottle.

"What are you following me for?"

The man opened his mouth, and the stench became even stronger. Asseth wanted to die. He took a few steps back in disgust and shouted coldly: "Get away."

"Robbery? You bitch-"

The man's voice stopped suddenly and he fell softly.

Aces put away the cane that attacked the man indifferently. He was only glad that he took the cane with him when he went out, otherwise he really didn't know how to knock the man unconscious.

Stepping over the man, Asseth arrived at the last house with ease.

It's much cleaner here than other places, and the nerves that have been tense for a long time are finally relaxed.

After hesitating for a moment, Asseth raised his hand and knocked on the door.

He knocked lightly because he wasn't sure whether Snape was still awake at this time.

After waiting for a while, the door was opened.

Snape was wearing a nightgown, and pointed the wand in his hand forward vigilantly. When he saw it was Artes, he did not put down his wand, and looked at him with confirming eyes.

"Sev, it's me."

At the familiar tone and sight, Snape put down his wand and turned sideways to let Arthas walk in.

"Why are you coming here at this time?"

He was almost asleep at this point, and if he hadn't fallen asleep, he probably wouldn't have heard the subtle knock on the door.

Aces closed the door, hugged Snape's waist from behind, and took a deep breath into his neck, "I received your letter, and I miss you too."

With his back pressed against a heat source, Snape leaned back unconsciously. Hearing Artes' words, he stood up straight again, "I just asked you to get the potion."

"Well..." Artes pretended to think, "So I came to get the potion and meet the potion master who left the quill signature. Is there a problem with this?"

Snape suddenly felt the glare on his back, and turned his face uncomfortably. Suddenly he smelled a bit of stinking alcohol, and frowned.

"you've been drinking?"

"drink wine?"

Aces lowered his head and smelled himself, and sure enough he smelled a faint smell of alcohol. He suddenly let go of his hand and stepped back, taking a few steps away from Snapa.

"I didn't drink. There was a drunkard on the road. I knocked him unconscious. Maybe I got it at that time."
