Hogwarts: Atypical Slytherin
Chapter 3 Diagon Alley (page 14)
Fortunately, this is not an incident recorded in Crowney's bedwetting embarrassment record book: there has been nothing new in this book since he was five years old!
But obviously this kind of frightening nightmare day after day is not a good thing for a child's growth.
What children need is honey, milk, and sweet dreams.
This made the Albert family very worried, and they sought out all kinds of capable people for this purpose, and even made their mother, who had never been a religious person - which is extremely rare in the UK - step into the church to seek help.
Even so, the situation has never been alleviated.
While initially treated as a serious psychological incident, nothing bad happened to little Albert in his life. Ms. Duffin also tried to analyze these seemingly bizarre contents, but in the end they were not consistent with Clooney's mental state.
Clowney was unaffected and, unlike the usual victims of evil spirits, looked radiant when she was awake.
Just when everyone was about to become accustomed to this strange thing, a new turning point appeared.
The answer to the nightmare was revealed on a Saturday full of sunshine and warm breeze. A brown owl knocked politely on Miss Daffin's window, bearing a stiff envelope of brown paper.
"What is this?" Ms. Daphne opened the window in surprise, "It's amazing. Is it an owl delivering a message?"
The owl looked extremely polite, but instead of circling around Ms. Daffin like the other little animals, it crossed her and stood on the edge of the dining table - Mr. Albert was holding a glass at this time. Hot coffee and enjoying his rare morning reading time.
The arrival of the birds made him put down the newspaper.
"This is really strange." He approached the big bird with his eyes wide open. Because he was wearing glasses, he was not worried that the bird would suddenly attack and hurt him. "Do you need any help, kid?"
Mr. Albert has never been very popular with small animals: maybe because he always has a straight face, maybe because he looks a little extra fierce. But all in all, there were very few small animals that did not avoid him--this was the first of the small animals that came forward in this way, especially the small animals that ignored Ms. Duffin and came forward.
The bird placed the envelope in its beak squarely in the center of Mr. Albert's newspaper, and pushed it forward humanely with its paws.
But Mr. Albert doesn't remember any of his friends who have the hobby of taming owls. What's more, in today's era, who has the leisure and elegance to send messages with birds?
Mr. Albert laughed in spite of himself, but he liked the bird.
He laughed and picked up the letter, looking at it from side to side as he called to Ms. Daphne: "Come and have a dental check-up and find out which nasty person is responsible for the prank!"
The bird seemed to have done its job, but did not immediately seek food or retrace its steps like a normal homing pigeon. This fat little guy stood aside with his head high and his chest puffed out, as if waiting for someone else.
Mr. Albert and Ms. Duffin, head to head and knees to knees, began to read the unexpected letter.
On the back of this wax-lacquered envelope, there are several lines of address written in green ink:
Renza County
little wellington
No. 66, Yutou Street
The first room next to the stairs
Miss Claudine Abbott
The address was a bit too detailed, so detailed that Mr. Albert's professional sense of smell, which he was proud of, set off alarm bells. He frowned and his tone was no longer brisk: "Whose prank is this?"
Although owls are cute, such descriptions in letters do not conform to people's usual habits. Maybe children will make such a joke among themselves, but in daily spoken expressions, even if it is true, children will not mention their own rooms. The location or the furnishings of the home - this is rare even in diaries.
The school has never mentioned any letter-writing activities.
Ms. Daffin patted his arm to indicate that he was a little too nervous. Only then did he wake up from the tension and began to open the beautifully wrapped letter.
The patterns on the beeswax were exquisite and unusual, which made Mr. Albert feel relieved a little: there was a shield crest printed on the beeswax, with a capital "H" letter in the middle, and a lion, An eagle, a badger and a snake.
Mr. Albert carefully cut open the envelope and pulled out a folded piece of paper.
On the paper it says:
【Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry
Headmaster: Albus Dumbledore
(President of the International Confederation of Wizards, First-Class Grand Magician of the Order of Merlin, and Chief Magician of the Wizengamot)
Dear Miss Albert:
We are pleased to inform you that you have been admitted to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Attached is a list of required books and equipment.
The semester is scheduled to begin on September 1st. We will be waiting for your owl to bring your reply before July 31st.
Vice-Chancellor
Sincerely, Minerva McGonagall. 】
Following the guidance of the content, Mr. Albert took out two more pieces of paper from the thick envelope. One is a large piece of paper folded several times, and the other is a beautifully made toy ticket.
Mr. Albert opened the soft paper:
Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry

A set of glass or crystal vials
a telescope
a brass balance
Students may bring an owl or a cat or a toad.
Parents are particularly reminded that first-year students are not allowed to bring their own broomsticks [referring to the broomsticks used by wizards and wizards]
This was obviously some kind of wizard's house game among the children. Mr. Albert finally relaxed and patted his head along Ms. Daffin's hand: "I'm too nervous."
"You're right, honey."
But it’s so interesting: the pictures in this letter are exquisite, the fonts are smooth and beautiful, and the sentences are very rigorous-it’s hard to imagine that a child can do this-there must be help from adults.
