America 1881: Legend of the West

Chapter 168 Internal Freemason Letters

Judging from the content of this letter, it should be written by one big boss to another big boss.

The exact identities of the two are unknown, as they are each replaced by a letter.

The person writing the letter is "H" and the recipient is "Y".

The previous content was ordinary, nothing more than some daily pleasantries and trivial matters that Chen Jianqiu could not understand. The whole article was full of political code words and boring rhetoric.

What made Chen Jianqiu's face look strange was the last part of the letter.

……

The prophet was real and predicted the victory of the Union and the death of Lincoln.

But where the next oracle is, I don’t know.

We have been working hard for more than ten years, secretly searching every place in the United States where the treasure may exist, but we have not found it.

This is totally a needle in a haystack.

Only the land of the Nahua tribe remains.

A few years ago I sent an army there in the name of the Army, but found nothing from those primitive people.

They resisted and the army evicted them and continued their search there.

We plan to build a town on it to hide it from others.

We named it "Roswell"

According to convention, new immigrants should feel like a treasure after acquiring land. However, because of the dryness and remoteness, no one wants to stay in this ghost place.

Residents were losing, and the soldiers were getting tired.

I even doubt whether the next oracle is really still in the so-called treasure.

Wish us all good luck.

Order is eternal!

……

There is a pattern printed on the lower right corner of the letter. The pattern consists of a compass and a ruler. The blank space between the two items is printed with a large "G" letter.

This is the emblem of Freemasonry.

While the letter is very informative and useful, it is limited to the location of the treasure itself.

Regardless of whether the letter itself is genuine or not, the contents inside are still a bit mysterious.

However, both the letter writer and the recipient are obviously high-ranking bosses on this continent, and their words always carry some weight.

The mayor who died in his own hands did not know what connection he had with the Freemasons, nor did he know how he obtained the letter. Like Astor, he believed this nonsense and came to look for the treasure.

Chen Jianqiu looked at the corpse at his feet and shook his head.

prophet? I still traveled from the next life. It stands to reason that I am a prophet!

No matter what, let’s find the treasure first.

All the answers may lie in that treasure.

Chen Jianqiu read the letter again, then folded it, stuffed it back into his clothes, and walked towards the police station.

Although reluctantly, the mayor of Lincolnshire was woken up in the middle of the night.

No matter how loud the gunshots were outside, he wasn't too worried about what could happen with the powerful Sheriff Pilot around.

But when he was told that Chief Pilot had half life left, he immediately jumped out of bed.

All the doctors with some medical skills in the town were dispatched, but Teresa only asked these people to help her.

In the words of this lady, these guys don't know anything, they only know how to bleed and amputate limbs.

The doctors had objections at first, but after looking at the gun in Chen Jianqiu's hand, they could only run to sterilize the instruments.

Teresa's movements were swift and accurate, and Chen Jianqiu watched in horror. In the end, without anti-inflammatory drugs or blood transfusions, Pailer actually saved a small life.

Geronimo and the others cleaned up the garbage outside. Sean found two flatbed trucks and piled all the materials scattered behind the police station and the things that could be found on the garbage onto the flatbed trucks.

Geronimo was surprised to find that his portrait was not posted on the security police's reward list.

To be precise, there is nothing there.

When Mr. Reddy Thomas pulled down his reward order, he did not know whether it was out of sympathy for the other people on the list or out of resentment towards the reward list itself.

He tore up all the reward orders.

So, under Chen Jianqiu's instruction, Geronimo, who wanted to retreat first, arrogantly dragged a cart with Sean to sell guns.

Because the scene was very tragic, there were very few survivors, and Paylor himself was in a coma. Miles was too trembling to say a single sentence, and the police officers who had received money and fled the scene were even more afraid to let out a fart.

They all excused themselves for leaving their posts due to temporary matters, and would rather be scolded for dereliction of duty than to be accused of being a traitor.

Therefore, Emily's words basically became the only confession:

A gang of rampant gangs attacked the police station, but the righteous people resisted together. The bandit leader was killed outside the wall, and the police chief's clothes were dyed red with blood.

As for Chen Jianqiu and the others, they are armed men hired by James' father. As for their origins, no one cares about them for the time being.

Just like the last Lincoln County War, the mayor followed the principle of minimizing major issues and making them trivial, and reported Pile as a small case.

Casualties, three.

These matters are no longer within the scope of Chen Jianqiu's concern. They have been delayed here for several days.

In Paile's office, Chen Jianqiu took out the letter he found on the mayor's body and showed it to everyone.

"Roswell?" The high priest shook his head.

"I only know that there is a small town there, but I really don't know what its name is." Geronimo said, ""

"I know!"

Holmes spoke suddenly.

Everyone's eyes turned to him almost at the same time.

The geologist was lying on the table. He held a map he bought in the town and compared it with the blood-stained human skin map on the table.

Chen Jianqiu has been doing this since he left him and Sean in a hotel in Lincolnshire.

His own map was densely marked, but there was no location mark for "Roswell".

Yes, it's not on either map.

This town was wiped off the map like a forbidden place that could not be mentioned.

Holmes took a pen and drew a small circle in a blank space on the map.

"It's roughly at this place!" he said with certainty.

Everyone gathered around, and they discovered that this small town was one hundred kilometers north of the treasure location marked on the human skin map.

"I have a question." Sean raised his hand like a good student, "Why don't we go directly to the treasure?"

"Without passing through that town, we might not be able to reach the location of the treasure," Holmes said.

"How do you know?" Sean asked his own question. He always felt that geologists were better than him.

"I've been there." Holmes looked at Chen Jianqiu and said with certainty.

"Why have I never heard you mention it before?" Geronimo was also a little surprised.

Ever since he discovered the mystery of the human skin map, the geologist's reaction has always seemed slow, and he has never expressed much insight into the location of the treasure.

"You didn't even ask." Holmes shrugged.

Chen Jianqiu leaned his butt against the table, crossed his hands on his chest, and looked very interested.

He motioned for Holmes to continue.

"That town is close to the edge of the desert. From there, there is only one road to go south." Holmes said, "But my journey ended there because the soldiers stationed there did not allow us to do anything. Geological exploration."

"What are you exploring there for?"

"Looking for oil."
