Chapter 316: Defeat Juarez

Sergio's body had been placed side by side with Ariana's body.

The young man threw himself beside them, crying bitterly.

Chen Jianqiu walked to the side and bowed to the corpse.

"He is the pride of the Romero family, a warrior who dares to challenge the two major families." Chen Jianqiu said.

Pedro wanted to say thank you, but when he saw the heavily armed soldiers behind Chen Jianqiu, he noticed something was wrong.

How could a businessman bring so many soldiers, even armed guards of the caravan?

And these soldiers' fingers rested on the gun body, never far away from the trigger.

He took another look at the scarred warriors behind him, the expression on his face froze.

But Romero was still crying.

"Let him calm down alone for a while." Chen Jianqiu moved his eyes away from Sergio's body and turned to Pedro, "Follow me."

Pedro had no choice but to follow Chen Jianqiu, pass through the wounded soldiers, and arrive behind the statue of the Virgin.

And Rabiot, as interpreter, was with them.

"What do you want?" Pedro asked eagerly.

"Why did you tell me before?" Chen Jianqiu put his hands behind his back and looked up at the statue of Our Lady full of bomb craters.

"Let us live. I will take the young master away and never return to Ciudad Juárez." Perez gave his answer.

"Not only will I not let Salvador die, I also hope that he can inherit the Romero family and become the new consul of Juarez." Chen Jianqiu no longer looked at the statue of the Virgin, but looked at Pedro.

Pedro took a deep breath: "I will not let Salvador become a puppet."

Chen Jianqiu smiled.

"I don't think the Young Master and you can live long without this city. You should know how many people Sergio has offended." Chen Jianqiu said.

"There is no need for me to take action. The other forces around Juarez alone will not allow him to live."

Chen Jianqiu looked in the direction of Sargio's body.

"In addition, I guess that if Sergio is alive, he does not want the Romero family to disappear from everyone. He has been working hard for the family's revival throughout his life."

Pedro was silent.

He knew that he had no negotiating power in front of the Chinese in front of him.

He is just a child adopted by the Romero family, and the captain of a country cavalry team with few remaining members.

Soon after, Chen Jianqiu and the others returned to the body.

"Romero, now we are going to clear out the remaining enemies in Juarez, including your love rival. Don't you want to see him hanged?"

Chen Jianqiu looked down at Romero, who was still crying, and said.

"You go, I want to stay with my brother and my dear Ariana." The young man was still lying on the ground crying.

Chen Jianqiu said nothing and turned his back.

Seeing his young master's useless appearance, Pedro almost gritted his teeth: "Master, the enemy is still in the city! Our situation is still very critical!"

But Romero's fragile heart seemed to be crushed by sadness, and he didn't even have the courage to stand up.

"Come, help the young master mount his horse." Chen Jianqiu said indifferently to the soldiers behind him.

The majesty of his voice was undeniable.

Two soldiers came up, picked up Romero who was still crying on the ground, and carried him out of the door.

Pedro watched helplessly as his young master was carried out.

"I prepared a carriage for him." Chen Jianqiu said to Pedro, "There is also a carriage prepared for Sergio's body. After the incident is over, he will be buried well."

Pedro had no choice but to follow Chen Jianqiu.

"set off!"

Chen Jianqiu led the cavalry out of the square and headed towards the Priego family's manor.

After the old Priego family left the square under the escort of a group of soldiers, they went straight to their manor.

But when he walked not far from his home, he found that his manor was crowded with people and busier than before.

A group of unknown people were moving things out of his house.

People who didn't know better thought that Priego Sr. was moving his family.

But compared to moving, their actions were much rougher.

The men simply broke all the windows and threw things out of the house.

"Where is the guard of my manor? Huh?" Old Priego stood there tremblingly and looked at his manor.

When he saw his beloved antique clock being thrown from the second floor and shattered into pieces, he almost fainted.

The escort pointed to the corpses at the gate of the manor.

These are the manor guards the old man is looking for.

Most of the private soldiers went to the central square with the captain, leaving only a dozen people to look after the houses near the manor.

They were all wiped out by the second boss and the Crocodile Gang.

The second boss was busy moving things and didn't have time to set a fire.

They also saw old Priego and his guards.

The two sides met each other and started exchanging fire.

The intensity of the fighting here was far lower than other battlefields in Ciudad Juárez.

Old Priego and his guards were quickly repulsed.

"Master, if you don't leave, the gang inside will chase them out, and we won't be able to escape." His guard advised him earnestly, "Our soldiers will come over when the other side of the square is over!"

"My money!" The old man danced angrily.

Two guards held the old man up and dragged him out, while several people carried him towards the square.

Soon, in front of them, in the direction of the square, a group of people on horseback came towards them.

"Are they one of ours?" Old Priego's son Ricardo wiped his sweat as he could no longer run.

But the guard captain turned around and ran away:

"We have no cavalry!"

After hearing this, Ricardo followed suit, swung his short legs and followed the captain.

However, his round belly was too much of a hindrance.

On weekdays, he could hardly see his feet from top to bottom.

So he fell to the last one.

Then he was shot through the chest.

The cavalry stepped on his body and passed by.

"I killed a man in military uniform, who seemed to be Priego's private officer." Abiot said to Chen Jianqiu in front.

"That is Old Priego's son, Ricardo, the groom's official." Chen Jianqiu didn't even look back.

He had already seen old Priego being carried by several people.

Chen Jianqiu raised his gun and shot through him.

After the few private soldiers of Priego took two steps, they realized that they were carrying a corpse, so they dropped old Priego and fled to the surrounding streets.

There was a man with slow legs and feet, squatting on the side of the street, holding his head, waiting to die.

But he found that these cavalrymen did not stop and rushed past him.

Chen Jianqiu didn't have time to fight with these stragglers. He led his team directly to the entrance of Priego's manor and began to clear out the crocodile gang members in the manor.

The second boss never thought until his death that his dream of getting rich would come to an abrupt end just halfway through.

Next, Chen Jianqiu led the cavalry non-stop and began to sweep away the remaining Crocodile Gang members and the resistance forces of the two major families in the city.

Juárez is in chaos today.

The defeated soldiers, who had no restraint, fled in all directions and became rogues.

Many people took advantage of the chaos and began to fish in troubled waters, vandalizing and looting in Juarez.

And these people, without exception, became the dead souls of Chen Jianqiu's cavalry team.

When many people in Juárez recalled what happened on that day many years later, they said they only saw soldiers dressed in black riding horses and galloping through the streets.

They swept across the city like an autumn wind sweeping away fallen leaves, quickly returning law and order to normal in Juárez.

Every time Chen Jianqiu finished cleaning up a place, he would carry out the helpless young Romero from the carriage behind him and tell the residents who didn't know the truth.

This is a feud between families.

The Romero family won and they returned to bring new order and peace to Ciudad Juárez with the Cavalry.

After wiping out the last crocodile gang members in the manors of the two major families outside the city, Chen Jianqiu took over all their properties.

The land occupied by these two families was much more than Chen Jianqiu imagined.

In Romero's name, he gave some of these lands to other powers in the city, such as the Church.

Part of it was distributed to some farmers.

However, Chen Jianqiu knew that these lands would soon be re-annexed by other forces in various ways.

A large part of the rest was allocated to Romero himself.

This land will soon be bought by a foreign businessman named Chen Jianqiu at a "relatively reasonable" price.

The church and other purely motivated forces were silent, and the civilians were also very satisfied.

Of course, Master Romero was "elected" as the new consul by the citizens of Juarez.

The town hall was re-opened.

When Gutierrez was in office before, whether he worked or met with guests, they were all in his private residence.

So this place has been empty for a long time.

Chen Jianqiu sat in the largest office in the city hall and handed Abiot a letter:

"This is a letter from Camila in the name of Romero, addressed to the governor of Chihuahua to inform him of what is happening here."

He crossed his fingers and placed them on the wooden desk. He pushed another letter on the desk in front of Abiot.

Chen Jianqiu said word by word:

"This letter is written to former President Diaz. His old subordinates, the Romero family and Ciudad Juárez, are willing to be loyal to him!"
