Mystery: The Fool's Witch Angel
Chapter 123 Note (page 12)
"Praise the Lord of knowledge, may you and I live eternity under His light. My name is Marple Austin, and I am here to see your parish priest, Louis Chris Yantsch. This is my letter of certification."
Hermione handed the letter she received from Father Gerhardt to the clergyman in front of her.
He looked at Hermione with some doubts, then opened it and looked at it again, confirming that there was no problem with the mark on it. He is really not a child who ran away from home.
"Please wait here for a moment. Priest Yanqi has gone back to rest. I'll go talk to Deputy Priest Cordis."
After watching the person on duty walk into the back, Hermione sat on the bench next to her and waited. The candles in the menorah were half burnt, and the light swayed in the incoming breeze.
Behind him, a sleepy man in black robe walked out together with the staff on duty. He has short, curly black hair, brown pupils, broad shoulders and a tall height. He looks to be in his mid-twenties.
"Sorry, guest from afar, I am a bit casual like this, please forgive me. My name is West West Garnet von Cordis, and I am the deputy priest of the Art Church. Bishop Yanqi is going home Get some rest and won’t come back until tomorrow. I suggest Ms. Austin that you go to the hotel to rest first.”
"I will. I'm just here to inform you so as to avoid any unpleasant misunderstandings."
"There happens to be a nice hotel nearby, let me take you there. You are a distinguished guest after all, so it won't hurt if I run some errands."
After speaking, Cordis helped Hermione lift the box, told the person on duty a few words, and then walked ahead to take Hermione to the hotel.
The street was already very quiet at night, except for the sounds of small animals in the grass. Cordis, the leader, walked to the left side of the square and passed through the corridor between the rooms there. He didn't pay attention to the path without looking carefully.
"Were you harassed when you came here? There has been some instability here recently. You dare to come here by yourself at night. It seems very unusual."
"The people here are very nice. I heard that I came to Yate Church to do business and even the travel expenses were not confiscated. I forced him to accept it."
"That's good. I'm afraid those gangsters who have nothing to do will target you. Those scum should have been cleaned up long ago." Cordis said this coldly.
"Everyone has the meaning of his existence, let alone good or bad. Only in this way can a complete society be formed."
Hermione felt that it would be a pity for Cordis not to become the chief of the Stuttgart Police Department, as this would make security here much better.
"We've arrived at the Bertram Hotel. You can tell me anything you want. Although I don't know what you're going to do here, it must be related to extraordinary events. There's no need to hide it like ordinary people."
On the side of the hotel is a grassland separated by trees and grass walls, with a retracted awning and some piled items on it. Walking in along the hardened road to the gate, the red carpet extends to the outside of the steps.
There was a drowsy waiter sitting at the front desk inside. When he saw a guest coming, he quickly stood up and said hello.
Curtis seemed to know them, and the waiters and waitresses treated him with great respect. He directly asked them to open the room and asked the waitress to carry the box and take Hermione up the long ladder at the back.
"I'm going back first. See you tomorrow, Ms. Austin." Cordis stretched out his hand and left. Hermione also bid him farewell politely.
"Please come with me, Ms. Austin."
The neatly dressed waitress led Hermione up. There seemed to be some confetti and other celebration items left on the red carpet below.
Arriving at the room with house number 517, the maid opened the door. The interior was clean and tidy, with a sober smell. The wallpaper was light yellow floral-shaped, and the crystal chandelier above emitted a warm yellow light.
The erected bookshelf decoration also separates a small conversation hall, where there are sofas and small tables. After observing, Hermione sighed that she had been living outside so many times and finally lived in a good place.
The maid explained to her the use of the items inside according to the procedure, left the key, then said goodbye, closed the door and left.
Hermione also put the clothes in the suitcase in the blind wardrobe next to the bed, took off her boots directly on the shoe rack at the door, and put on the strappy sandals provided by the hotel. The dark pink carpet on the ground was soft, and the problem of bare feet was gone. Not big.
After carefully checking that there was nothing wrong inside, I took the provided toiletries and went to the bathroom to take a shower. On the bedside table next to the bed, there is not only a light yellow bedside lamp, but also a bright rose in a slender transparent glass bottle.
Hermione, who had changed into a white nightgown, sat on the rattan cushioned chair next to her and changed the card there, asking them to change it to a rose when they changed it tomorrow. Hermione liked its sister better. As for important items, just keep them with you, and don’t be afraid of losing the others.
After a while, there was a knock on the door outside. Hermione was a little confused as to why someone was looking for her at this time. She put on a coat, her hair was wrapped in a towel, and went to open the door.
The male waiter just stood at the door holding a plate with water sealed in a transparent glass bottle and some exquisite snacks.
"Thank you." Hermione deftly took the things in his hands and closed the door. He casually placed the plate of things on the table next to the double sofa, walked to the window and opened the yellow patterned curtain outside, leaving the white soft light curtain hanging there.
There were some porcelain and artistic objects on the decorative cabinets on both sides. Hermione did not give up checking these blind spots to prevent anything from disturbing her later.
After finishing, she lay back on the bed and returned to deep meditation again, feeling the traces of her movements and the excitement brought by the players. It would be nice if it was more solid.
The next day, the light softened by the white curtain woke her up. The environment here is quiet, without the noisy outside feeling of ordinary hotels.
Her red hair was scattered in a ball, covering part of her face. When she got up, she stretched out and got up to wash up.
After changing her clothes, Hermione took out her lace-up boots from the mirror space she carried and put them on, and prepared to go to the Art Church to find Louis Yantsch. Generally speaking, the middle name was omitted.
Before leaving, she arranged it inside and connected the full-length mirror in the bedroom so that she could come back directly if there was anything. Small-scale movements will leave no traces.
There were also many well-dressed people walking in the aisle outside. It looked like they were going to the dining room on the second floor. Hermione had no interest in the breakfast here for the time being and left the place directly.
Following yesterday's memory, I walked to the main street outside and turned into the aisle between rooms. There were many locals walking here to go to the church. Hermione was also wearing a black coat and a black gauze hat today, hiding her appearance.
There were many people walking scatteredly in the square in front. What was better than Kamari Town was that there were no homeless people here. Hermione also followed the flow of people in. In the bookshelf area inside, Cordis, the deputy priest last night, was a little surprised to see Hermione who came so early.
"Why don't you take a break? After all, people like us are prone to problems if we are not in good spirits. Then we can only accompany the Lord of knowledge."
"I feel good now, things are more important."
"Priest Louis is already here. Come with me."
Curtis took her to the office area at the back, walked into a room, and saw Louis Chris Yantsch behind the desk. The stack of books in front of her was very high, and a pile of documents made the large desk look very crowded. .
