Infinitely Criticizing the Villain for Being Like My Ex-Boyfriend
Chapter 179: A Husband's Doomsday Self-Saving Guide 30
"I need to eat something." Zhang Chunliang leaned weakly on Lao K, his voice weak.
He was starving so quickly that it was only three hours since his last meal and he was already a little overwhelmed.
Several people have been walking around this urban village for a long time, and the midday light is so hot that it is unbearable.
After staying in this settlement for so long, they did not find a single human being. The doors of all the houses were wide open, everything was in a mess, and all the valuables had been swept away - it seemed that a riot had taken place here.
Li Mufeng and Wu Mei entered several rooms and only found some salt scattered on the ground and some soybeans. They put them in plastic bags and placed them behind Lao K.
"The original wife's son and the pregnant stepmother never leave their pretty boy father who is paralyzed in bed." Li Mufeng complained incessantly, took off two pieces of the sandwich biscuits that he was reluctant to eat, and stuffed them into Zhang Chunliang's mouth.
"Why do you get hungry so quickly?" Wu Mei frowned. "How strange. Last time in the game you didn't..."
She closed her mouth, held her stomach and stopped talking.
"We can't stay here for too long. We have to leave as soon as possible." Zhang Chunliang swallowed the biscuit. "To force so many people to leave at the same time, there must be something wrong here. Let's find a main road. Old K will turn into a car. Let's look for the sign to go to Fuyuan Community."
This is the only survivor base they know of. The situation in this city is unclear now, and they have to go there even if it is a dangerous place.
Several people walked onto the flat road, and Old K imitated the cars on the roadside and changed his shape.
"I still have some blueberry balls that haven't been sold out. Do you want to eat some, Liangliang?" Old K dodged the obstacles on the road and spoke in a relaxed tone.
Zhang Chunliang sat in the passenger seat and looked at the rearview mirror. The urban village that they had just passed by showed a strange magnificence under the sunlight, as if it was covered by some thin film.
"It's this guy..." Wu Mei seemed to recognize him and said with interest, "I saw it when I passed a city in the last game. It was like jelly and completely transparent."
"It looks a bit cute. Is this also an alien species?" Li Mufeng opened the car window and turned his head behind him.
"Don't let it notice you." Wu Mei warned, "It will turn anyone who comes into contact with it into transparent."
"What kind of crazy ability is this?" Li Mufeng couldn't help laughing. "To be honest, when I first arrived at the Game House, I really wanted a player skill that could turn me transparent."
He blinked, somewhat maliciously.
"It's not that simple." Wu Mei imitated him and blinked. "It feeds on the most desperate human emotions. Human flesh and blood are just appetizers for it. If it wants to hunt you, it will eat your body first and use special methods to preserve your mind."
"Isn't this a ghost?" Li Mufeng couldn't help but twitching the corners of his mouth.
"It's a little scarier than a ghost. You are still awake, but no one in this world can find or touch you anymore. Even two people who are devoured by it will never find each other in this lifetime."
"It's really desperate, endless loneliness. Such emotions will drive people crazy, and then it will be time for this alien to feast on us." Zhang Chunliang leaned back in his chair, drowsy. After a moment, he slowly sat up. "I have an idea... We didn't find anyone in the village over there just now. Is there a possibility that they have always been with us?"
"It's just... they have been turned transparent." Li Mufeng also thought of this and suddenly got goose bumps all over his body.
During their search, there might not be nothing around them. There might be many humans raised by the "jelly" aliens surrounding them, asking for help, wailing, and screaming, but they could not feel them at all.
"Thanks to Old K." Wu Mei said with a smile, "Its aura of a savior scared that guy away. Otherwise, we might have been made into delicious food by the "jelly" as soon as we got off the car."
"Ding ding." Old K honked the horn twice. "I found my destination. Fuyuan Community is 53 kilometers away."
Not far away, some simple flyers were casually posted on the streets.
Someone scribbled the address of Fuyuan Community on it with a pen and attached a simple map.
"Fuyuan Base welcomes every survivor." Li Mufeng read the words on the flyer word by word. "They can actively search for survivors in the city. This base seems to be quite orderly."
"Don't blindly trust any human who is struggling to survive under the suppression of alien species." Wu Mei smiled and hooked her hair, "Sometimes they are more terrifying than alien species."
Li Mufeng curled his lips and stopped talking.
Zhang Chunliang had no mind to pay attention to them. An unbearable hunger swept through his stomach, making him feel a burning pain in his abdomen.
The little octopus woke up at some point, and it stretched out its tentacles and touched Zhang Chunliang's face with some concern.
Zhang Chunliang sighed, pinched its pink little tentacles, put them in his mouth and bit them gently.
Little Octopus: “!!!”
It trembled its paws and shyly stuck to Zhang Chunliang's neck, lying soft and motionless.
"How long will it take?" Zhang Chunliang asked.
"Almost done, Liangliang, how about some blueberry balls? They taste really good. I have already removed the contamination from the conductor."
Zhang Chunliang no longer insisted. He took the bag of snacks that appeared out of nowhere, tore it open almost roughly, and stuffed them into his mouth one by one.
Just like that, after nearly an hour, they finally arrived at their destination.
It was an old community surrounded by barbed wire. The gate of the community was very narrow and was tightly blocked by iron fences. Several modified pickup trucks were parked next to it.
There were several bonfires in front of the community, and even at the hottest time of noon, the bonfires were still burning fiercely.
The air was filled with the aroma of tar and special meat.
"Who's over there!" someone shouted angrily through the iron fence.
"We are here to take refuge at the base!"
As a child, Li Mufeng was not suitable for confrontation, and Zhang Chunliang was too weak. Wu Mei had no choice but to get out of the car with her big belly.
Several fully armed middle-aged men looked at each other, and some of them immediately ran into the community.
"Pull your car aside and let the people in it get out." someone else ordered.
In order to disguise the car as if someone was driving, Zhang Chunliang just changed seats and sat in the driver's seat.
He took two deep breaths, held onto Old K's door and got out of the car.
"Injured...with a woman and a child...a couple?"
The sound of discussion came from the community gatehouse. They had no intention of letting the few people in and chatted leisurely in the shade.
"Dad, there are people burning in the fire." Li Mufeng pulled Zhang Chunliang's sleeve and motioned him to go and look at the bonfires.
"Usually, they are troublemakers or traitors in the base who are used as an example to warn others," Wu Mei explained.
"How long are they going to leave us out in the cold?" Li Mufeng was a little annoyed by being exposed to the sun.
"Wait, we are monkeys now too." Zhang Chunliang pinched the little octopus in his pocket and felt relieved when he felt that its body was still cold.
The little octopus meekly wrapped his left hand with its tentacles, trying to help him cool down.
After more than half an hour, there was suddenly a noise in the distance.
The gatekeeper couldn't sit still any longer and quickly pulled open the iron fence.
"Boss and the others are back?!"
A convoy of pickup trucks rushed over from a distance with their engines roaring loudly.
The leading car braked suddenly in front of Zhang Chunliang, stirring up choking dust. A sturdy man wearing sunglasses poked his head out from the passenger seat and asked, "Who are you?"
"I came here to seek refuge." Zhang Chunliang replied. He took out the Spider Man's ID from his collar and handed it to the man in sunglasses.
The man took the ID, flipped through it twice, then took off his sunglasses and looked at Zhang Chunliang strangely.
"The person who gave me the ID told me to come here to find a man named Cen Jiuyue."
The man in sunglasses looked at him for a while, nodded, and put on his sunglasses again.
He waved his hand, and a group of people jumped out of the pickup truck behind him.
"Kill them."
The man in sunglasses clicked his tongue and spoke lightly.
