Wilderness Redemption Tour

Chapter 56 Hidden Mission

When Malibeth walked away, Sadie came over and teased, "Malibeth is okay, right?"

Lin Yan scratched his head in bewilderment, then commented seriously: "It's possible, but is she short of money recently? Why is she always paying attention to this?"

Sadie rolled her eyes at him, unceremoniously sat on Arthur's bed, and said unhappily: "Who asked you this... I'm talking about looks, figure, and personality."

"...Ah?" Lin Yan felt a little guilty when he heard Sadie ask this.

"What? What do you think of her? Does she meet your marriage standards? From what I know about her, she's a good girl. If you're interested in her..."

Sadie, who is forthright and never beats around the bush, is about to arrange Lin Yan's lifelong event.

"Stop! Stop! Stop!"

Hearing that Sadie was talking more and more outrageously, Lin Yan interrupted her hastily.

"Mrs. Adler," Lin Yan used honorifics directly. "Don't bother with this matter..."

As he spoke, he tugged at the corner of her clothes and then hooked his finger at her. Sadie understood and stretched her head over.

Lin Yan said quickly and quietly: "Have you forgotten what I told you? I will leave after completing the mission. How can I have a romance with gang members during this period?"

Sadie looked a little disappointed after hearing this, "Forget it..." she said in an indifferent tone.

Then she changed the subject and quietly pointed to Aunt Susan who was assigning tasks with her hands on her hips in the distance and said, "You probably won't be able to sleep in the camp with old woman Grimshaw here. If you haven't gotten enough sleep, let's go out and find a place to rest."

At the entrance of the camp, Aunt Susan was directing Kieran to move the hay from the supply wagon to where the horses were tied. Her loud mezzo-soprano voice allowed you to hear it clearly no matter where you were in the camp.

"Uh... okay..." Seeing this, Lin Yan felt that this suggestion was very pertinent.

After getting up, washing his face hastily and drinking a cup of refreshing cowboy coffee, Lin Yan and Sadie left the camp.

Before leaving, he asked Javier, who was on night patrol last night, about Arthur's whereabouts and learned that Arthur went to Valentine's station early in the morning.

Station? The train had already been robbed, why would he go to the station? He couldn't be going there to get information, right?

Forget it, I won’t make any more blind guesses. I can just wait for Arthur to come back and ask him directly.

"Where are we going today? Are you still sleeping? The old woman just asked us to look for the pastor by the way, are you really going to look for him?" As soon as they walked out of the woods, Sadie asked a series of questions.

Just when they were about to leave, Aunt Susan saw them getting ready to go out and casually said that if they saw Pastor Swanson, they should bring him back.

Unexpectedly, it was this sentence that made the system prompt sound in Lin Yan's mind again.

[Trigger hidden mission: Find Pastor Swanson and bring him back to the camp safely.]

[This task is a time-limited task, players please pay attention to the task time limit. ]

The prompt sound instantly cleared Lin Yan's originally confused mind. He opened the system interface and found that a task appeared in the task bar that was originally empty.

[Limited time mission: Find the camp pastor Orville Swanson in the New Hanover area and bring him back to the camp. ]

[Task Reward: Free Attribute Points +3, 1 ordinary turntable draw. ]

There is a countdown behind the task title. The current time displayed is 11:59:46, so if you want to complete the task, you must bring the priest back to the camp within this time.

After discovering there was a reward, Lin Yan seriously inquired about where Pastor Swanson might have gone, but the only answer she got was that the pastor liked to drink and play cards, but she didn't know where he had gone.

"Let's look for him. Didn't he say he didn't come back all night? Don't let anything else happen."

"Whatever you want." Sadie said indifferently.

"So where are you going to start? Valentine Tavern?" she asked again.

Lin Yan subconsciously stretched out his right thumb and index finger and rubbed his chin to think.

Based on my previous experience playing games, as a hidden, time-limited and sufficient-time quest, the target shouldn't appear in a nearby place that people can easily think of, but it's still better to check.

Tsk...it's really awkward to have such an untidy beard on your face. I remember Valentine's Tavern seemed to have a shaving service, so I might as well go and get it done.

Thinking of this, he said, "Let's go to Valentine first and ask in the taverns and hotels. Anyone who has seen a drunk in a priest's robe will definitely have an impression of him."

Sadie nodded in agreement. "Indeed, this guy is an outlier."

Since time was not urgent, Lin Yan did not rush, but answered Sadie's questions about yesterday's train robbery while slowly moving towards Valentine.

He felt that with his luck, even if he couldn't find a priest in Valentine, he would be able to meet one somewhere else.

"I didn't expect Sean is just an expert in talking. Seeing how arrogant he was that day, I thought he had some real skills like the others." After hearing Lin Yan's description of Sean's poor shooting skills, Sadie curled her lips in disgust.

"It looks like you'll get a big chunk of this operation again. I wonder how much Malibeth will get from Arthur."

"Arthur is quite fair in dividing the money. Apart from keeping half for the gang, the rest is basically divided equally among all the participants." Lin Yan concluded based on Arthur's previous experiences of "dividing the spoils".

The two chatted all the way and soon arrived at Valentine's "Smithfield" tavern. It was still morning, and no one was drinking or playing cards in the tavern. After pushing the door open, Lin Yan first ordered two bottles of beer, and then asked the bartender if he had seen a man in a priest's robe yesterday.

The bartender thought about it and shook his head. "No, I haven't seen it."

"Can I shave now?" Lin Yan asked, pointing to the large seats in the aisle at the back door of the pub.

"Yes, Old Charlie lives in the house next door."

"Old Charlie, come out and entertain the guests!" the bartender shouted.

Sadie took a sip from the bottle. "You want to shave?" she asked.

Lin Yan touched his chin and smiled shyly: "It's too long, I'm not used to it. Do you mind waiting for me for a while?"

"Go ahead, I'll go ask at the hotel and the other pub across the street." After saying that, she turned and walked out alone. "Save the wine for me, I'll come back to drink it later."
