After I got into the drama, I led the plot astray

Chapter 3 I actually traveled through time!

It has been raining heavily for a whole week and there is no sign of stopping.

Many places in Pingzhou City were flooded. Even the Traditional Chinese Medicine Clinic of Pingzhou Central Hospital where I worked had water flooding into the office and reaching my calves.

These days I have been half-squatting on a chair to treat patients, and that posture is as awkward as it can be.

Fortunately, there are not many patients, otherwise my legs would be broken from squatting for a whole day.

After seeing the last patient that day, I glanced at the clock on the wall. It was half past five, just in time to get off work.

I carefully stood up from the chair, took off my white coat and hung it on the hanger next to me.

It's summer now, and I'm wearing a light yellow gauze skirt and a pair of home slippers. It's raining today, and I can't bear to let the pair of small leather sandals that cost me almost half a month's salary get soaked in water.

I glanced out the window and saw raindrops as big as beans hitting the glass, making crackling sounds. It was raining so heavily that even if I went out with an umbrella, I would probably get soaked.

But when I thought about going back to the dormitory so I could continue watching the extremely popular TV series "Long Xiang Yi", I put my feet in the water without hesitation.

The water was a little cold and I couldn't help shivering.

I walked to the door carefully, and a young nurse came over with tears in her eyes. She smiled and greeted me when she saw me: "Doctor Zhao, are you off work? It's raining heavily outside. I just heard from Xiao Du and the others that the water on the road in Huaji is up to their thighs. Remember to take a detour when you go back to the dormitory."

I nodded and said, "Okay, I understand."

In fact, I had no intention of taking a detour at all.

Because it only takes 4 or 5 minutes to get back to the dormitory from Huaji, even if you wade through water. But if you take a detour, it usually takes more than ten minutes, not to mention it is raining so heavily.

When I think of the TV series "Long Xiang Yi", my heart feels like being scratched by a hundred cats. I wish I could fly back to the dormitory and lie on the sofa comfortably to watch the drama.

Although this TV series has only been aired for a dozen episodes, the plot is compact, tense, and exciting, and the actors' performances are well-placed. I have been fascinated by it.

But unfortunately, only one episode is updated a day, which makes me very anxious, so even one minute of delay is torture for me.

I walked through the outpatient department corridor with an umbrella and walked towards the back door.

Some of the other clinics on both sides of the corridor still had patients, and faint sounds could be heard coming from the rooms.

I left in a hurry, so I didn't hear the conversation between the two security guards in the storage room:

"We need to quickly find warning tape to fence off the road from the flower base to the lotus pond. The water and electricity room is leaking, and the director said we need to turn off the power in that area to prevent leakage."

"I know. I'm looking for it. Do you want an ice cream cone?"

"Take it."

I walked to the back door of the outpatient department, holding an umbrella in one hand and holding the hem of my skirt with the other, and plunged into the rain.

The water in this section of Huaji Road was indeed very deep. Even though I held on to the hem of my skirt, most of it was wet.

It was pouring rain overhead, knocking my umbrella all over the place. The water was above my knees, making it difficult to move.

But I still moved forward firmly.

It turns out that people who are addicted to TV are very scary.

After walking through this difficult Huaji Road, I just needed to go around the Lotus Lake in front of me to reach the bottom of my dormitory building.

It only takes less than two minutes to get back to the dormitory, so I couldn't help but quicken my pace.

But I didn't expect the soles of my slippers to be a bit slippery, and I couldn't see the road clearly, so I stepped on a round stone, stumbled, and one of my slippers flew out. I lost my balance and fell straight into the lotus pond!

It is called a lotus pond, but there are no lotus flowers in it. In the center is a rockery made of a pile of strange rocks. Usually there will be fountains, but it has rained these few days and the fountains have not opened.

The wires connecting the fountain were originally buried in cement, but due to the continuous heavy rain for a long time, the cement covering the wires was washed away, revealing the broken wire ends. The security room had not had time to turn off the power, and the entire lotus pond seemed to be shrouded in an electric grid. When I fell in, I was electrocuted before I could call for help and sank to the bottom of the pond.

At this moment, a dazzling white light streaked across the sky and hit the lotus pond.

Then the electric current in the entire lotus pond seemed to be activated and kept flowing through my body.

I fainted but was awakened by the pain.

My parents’ faces suddenly flashed through my mind. They seemed to be saying something to me, but I couldn’t hear them.

Water kept pouring into my nose and mouth.

I was awake for less than a few seconds before the severe pain made me completely lose consciousness and fall into darkness.

I don't know how long I slept. When I was half asleep, I heard someone whispering in my ear.

"Brother, you said that Second Sister has been in a coma for three days. Could she have gone to see the King of Hell just like that?"

"Don't talk nonsense! Second sister is strong and healthy. She rarely gets colds. This time she just hit her head and the injury is a bit serious. How could she go to see the King of Hell?"

"But this mansion doesn't even want to hire a doctor, and we two don't have any money. My second sister has been sleeping like this, and she can't even drink porridge. I, I'm afraid of her..."

As he spoke, he could no longer continue and began to sob softly.

Then no one spoke.

I slowly opened my eyes with difficulty.

This is not a hospital. There are no white walls, no white coats, and no smell of disinfectant.

I was lying on an antique wooden bed with a thick curtain hanging over it.

The room was a little dim, but there was no light on, and the dimness made it difficult for me to tell whether it was day or night.

There were two people standing next to my bed, and they looked young.

The smaller one was crying quietly with his head down; the bigger one was sighing, and the sighing made people tremble.

My head was still a little dizzy. This wasn't my home, nor was it a hospital dormitory. Where on earth was this? And who were these two people?

Could it be the underworld?

I swallowed hard. My throat was dry and sore, my stomach was hungry, and my head felt even more dizzy.

I let out a painful cry, and the two people standing by the bed jumped up as if they were electrocuted, and with a cry of "Ah", they threw themselves at the head of my bed.

The eldest one said with surprise, "Second sister, are you awake?"

The younger one laughed and cried and said, "Second sister, second sister, my dear second sister, you finally woke up."

I finally saw the two people clearly. One was a boy of about fifteen or sixteen, and the other was a little girl of about eleven or twelve with two buns on her head.

At first glance, these two people looked very familiar, but where had I seen them before? My dizzy head couldn't remember.
