I almost touched the moon

Chapter 69 First Snow

More than two hours later, Wen Song arrived at Vaduz. She had never driven for more than four hours, let alone in the dark night with a heavy snow. She felt sleepy and tired, so she had to stop at a gas station to rest and refuel.

Cheng Che also called her, sounding a little worried, "Songsong, I'm at the highway service area in Valsot, why aren't you there yet?"

"I'm in Vaduz," she said tiredly, "Go back to the hotel and wait for me."

"Vaduz? In Liechtenstein?" Cheng Che was obviously very surprised. "Why are you there?"

"The road was closed when we got to Starkenbach, so we had to change our route. It's okay, don't worry about me, I'll be there in two hours after I take a rest."

Wen Song's voice was very low, and he was obviously very tired.

"Are you stupid? If the road is closed, just go back. You have to drive hundreds of kilometers more in a big detour. You stayed up late last night. How can your body bear it?"

Cheng Che was moved, but also worried and anxious, and regretted very much that he should have stopped Wen Song from coming.

"It's okay." Wen Song chuckled, "We're already in Vaduz, not far away."

Cheng Che sighed and said to her, "Just wait for me in Vaduz, I'll pick you up."

"Stop it." Wen Song laughed again, "If you come over now, I'll have to wait for you for nearly two hours. Isn't that a waste of time? You still have a game the day after tomorrow, go to bed."

"How can I sleep if you're like this?" Cheng Che sighed softly again, "Songsong, do you know how dangerous it is to drive in the snow..."

"It's OK. I've driven before, so I have experience." Wen Song pretended to be relaxed and said, "You should go back to sleep. I've also filled up the gas and am ready to go. Be obedient and don't mess around."

"Don't be silly. I should be the one telling you this." Cheng Che said helplessly, "I drove for six or seven hours on a mountain road in the middle of the night, crossing five countries to come to Livigno. The Iseylia I know wouldn't be so irrational."

"I'm not irrational. Please, I'm driving slowly." Wen Song laughed again, "Besides, I didn't see you at the last World Cup, so how can I miss it this time?"

"If I miss this year, there's still next year. There's also the X Games and the World Championships in January next year. I'm not going to retire. There are plenty of competitions."

Although Cheng Che complained helplessly, she could not hide her inner joy. How much she must love him to brave the wind and snow to watch his game.

"Cheng Che, why are you talking so much?" Wen Song frowned, "I'm not just looking at you, I also promised Shu Ning that I would come to cheer her on."

"You..." Cheng Che was helpless and could only say to her, "Okay, then drive slower. If you are really tired, find a hotel nearby to rest for a night. Come back tomorrow when the snow stops. It has been postponed anyway."

"Okay, I know." Wen Song nodded in response, started the car and got back on the road.

After driving for more than an hour and approaching the Swiss-Italian border, Wen Song saw a very familiar black AMG G63 in a roadside parking lot.

She was just thinking that this car was exactly the same as Cheng Che's car, and also had a Swiss license plate. Coincidentally, the car honked its horn. She looked closely and saw that there was indeed a "ZH" printed on the license plate.

The phone rang at this time. She picked it up. Cheng Che smiled bitterly and said, "Idiot, you can't even recognize my car. Park the car quickly and I'll take you there."

"What?" Wen Song stepped on the brakes in surprise, "Why are you here?"

"I'm here to pick you up. There's snow on the road ahead, and your car is hard to drive."

Wen Song immediately parked the car, opened the door and got out. Cheng Che also got out of the car, ran towards her quickly, and hugged her in his arms, completely wrapping her in protection.

The fluttering snowflakes fell on them, even their hair was dyed a light white. In the dark night, they almost blended into the surrounding snow scene, beautiful and peaceful.

"What an idiot..." Cheng Che's voice even sounded like tears because he was too anxious. "What should I do if something happens to you on the way? Idiot, don't do this again in the future."

"Then I'm fine." Wen Song was hugged too tightly by him and was a little breathless. "You are really something. I asked you to wait for me in the hotel. Why did you come here in the middle of the night?"

"I'm here to pick you up. You must be tired after driving for more than five hours." Cheng Che kissed the corner of her lips and said gently, "I'll give you a massage when I get back."

"Fortunately, I'm not very tired." Wen Song still smiled, shuddered and said, "Let's get back to the car. It's freezing."

Back in the car, Cheng Che turned up the temperature of the air conditioner, adjusted the back of her chair so that she could lie down, handed her a cup of hot cocoa and said, "It's still hot, drink it quickly, are you hungry?"

"A little." Wen Song had only eaten two Berliners that night because he had to write an observation report, and he was a little hungry after driving for such a long time.

Cheng Che couldn't help but hug her again, kissed her brow, and caressed her face lovingly, "Sister, I'm so happy and touched that you can come to see me, but I feel so sorry for you. It's all my fault, I shouldn't have told you the game time."

As he spoke, tears welled up in his eyes and almost burst out.

"Okay, don't cry." Wen Song quickly wiped his tears, "I'm really fine, but if you're really that worried about me, then next time if it's too far or the weather is bad, I won't come to watch your game."

"No!" Cheng Che said quickly, "I'll pick you up next time."

"You say one thing and mean another." Wen Song couldn't help but laugh.

Cheng Che handed her another box of cake and said, "Luckily I brought you a cake before I came. It's the hotel's tiramisu. It tastes pretty good. Come and eat some."

After drinking hot cocoa and eating cake, Wen Song felt that his energy had been restored a little, and he adjusted the back of his chair and sat up.

Outside the car window, the snow was falling harder and deeper on the road. The only two axles on the road were perfectly matched with the tires, which were obviously left by Cheng Che when he came.

"I think I really should change my car." Wen Song was full and had the energy to joke, "My car is usually fine for driving in the city, but it feels a little unstable when driving on mountain roads in rainy and snowy weather. I still need an off-road vehicle."

"Buy it." Cheng Che said generously, "Do you like this one? I'll buy it for you. What color do you like?"

"I'm just kidding." Wen Song shook his head and said, "I drive this car pretty well now. The steering wheel of the G63 is a bit heavy for me. Besides, if I like it, I can buy it myself. Don't spend money on me indiscriminately."

"I know." Cheng Che thought of the unpleasantness when he gave Wen Song jewelry, and didn't dare to say anything more. Instead, he changed the subject, "I originally wanted to come to Valsot to pick up my sister, but then I thought about you parking your car there, and you have to go to Valsot to drive before returning to Munich, which is too inconvenient. So I came here to pick you up, and it just so happens that you will pass by here when you return to Munich."

"Thank you, baby." Wen Song looked at him tenderly and affectionately and said, "Thank you for your hard work. You must be very tired from the training these days, right?"

"I'm not tired." Cheng Che smiled, "I'm used to it. Sister, do you want to take a nap? I'll call you when we get there."

"It's okay, I'm not sleepy."

More than an hour later, they arrived at the hotel where Cheng Che lived. Wen Song stretched, got out of the car, took a deep breath, breathed in the fresh air, and said to Cheng Che, "We're finally here. I'm so sleepy."

Cheng Che took her backpack and put it on his back, took her hand and said, "Let's go back quickly. There is a spa bathtub in the room. You can take a bath to relax, and then I will give you a massage and have a good sleep."

"Ache." Wen Song reached out his hand, brushed away the snowflakes on his hair, and stood on tiptoe to kiss him on the lips, "I love you."

On the way here, I complained about the long and tiring journey. When I saw the road closure sign, I was angry and thought about turning back to Munich. Of course, I also thought about whether Cheng Che really needed me to come here in the snowy night at such a risk. Would she cross half of the Eurasian continent like she did eight months ago, and only moved herself?

However, all doubts disappeared the moment she saw Cheng Che drive to the Swiss-Italian border, get out of the car in the snow, run towards her and hold her in his arms.

Cheng Che deserved her to do something not so rational. He needed her very much, needed her to accompany him and experience the World Cup that he had not seen for a long time.

Cheng Che didn't say anything, but kissed her passionately, lingering with her lips and tongue, holding her tightly in his arms, looking at the snowflakes sticking to her head and said, "Song Song, this is the first snow we witnessed together."
