Harry Potter: Glory Bows to Me

Chapter 160: The Sorting Ceremony went as expected

Under the chairmanship of Professor Flitwick, the sorting ceremony soon began.

The auditorium once again became the home of the Sorting Hat, which opened its brim as usual and sang a sorting song that was not much different from previous years. Then Professor Flitwick picked up a long list and loudly called out the names of the new students one by one.

When he called the roll, the students at each long table in the academy couldn't help but look forward to it.

After their names were called, the freshmen came up one by one and nervously put on the Sorting Hat. After a short or long wait, the Sorting Hat loudly called out the college they should go to.

So they walked towards the colleges to which they were assigned, and every time they did so, cheers and applause would be heard from the corresponding college dean's table.

With nothing to do at the moment, Amanta looked at the new team boredly.

The faces of the new students were not completely unfamiliar to them. There were also a few faces among them that they had seen at Malfoy Manor. As expected, almost all of them were sorted into Slytherin.

But apart from this, compared with other houses, the number of freshmen sorted into Slytherin this year is still small as always.

Harry looked at it for a while, then impatiently picked up the spoon in his hand and banged on the edge of the table.

"Please finish it quickly, I'm already hungry."

Draco couldn't stand it anymore and snatched the spoon from his hand: "Mind your dining etiquette, Harry."

After Professor Flitwick called out a long list of names, fewer and fewer freshmen stood in the freshman line, until finally, only Astoria and two boys were left.

At this time, Astoria's name was finally called.

"Astoria Greengrass!"

The Slytherin table began to wait with bated breath. You know, all the Slytherin freshmen had known each other for a long time before entering Hogwarts.

Many people can even guess which ones will be sorted into Slytherin just by glancing at the freshmen group.

Of course, there are occasional mistakes, for example, a boy was sorted into Ravenclaw last year, but such accidents usually happen when freshmen born in pure-blood families are sorted into colleges other than Slytherin.

Every year, there are very few new faces among the freshmen sorted into Slytherin, like Amanta and Harry...which is already a rare surprise.

Sure enough, not long after the Sorting Hat covered Astoria's little golden head, it shouted loudly: "Slytherin!"

There was a burst of warm applause from the Slytherin table.

Astoria had a somewhat childish smile on her face and walked towards the Slytherin table amid applause.

When she passed by Daphne, even though Daphne had never liked her sister, she managed a rare smile at her, but her tone was still not polite.

"Luckily, you were sorted into Slytherin."

After she finished speaking, she couldn't help but frowned and said sarcastically, "Mom and Dad can finally rest assured that you were sorted into Slytherin. Oh, they have been worried for a long time that you would be sorted into that useless Hufflepuff house."

Daphne didn't make room for her, so Astoria had no choice but to keep walking forward, looking for an empty seat at the long table.

A senior student patted the empty seat next to him eagerly.

"Astoria, there's an empty seat here, how about sitting here?"
