Harry Potter: Glory Bows to Me

Chapter 162: The Transfer Student from Durmstrang

Amanta hesitated for a moment.

But... we can't let the situation remain deadlocked like this.

After all, they had known each other since childhood, and it was Astoria's first time leaving home to go to school. Age aside, she just wanted to chat with someone familiar.

Amanta convinced herself in this way in her heart, and then made a decisive decision.

She raised the arm that Draco was holding down, signaling him to let go: "It's okay, you guys just have a good chat, I'll just sit next to you."

Draco's hand stiffened, but before Amanta could wonder, his hand pressing on her arm quickly retracted.

"Ah."

He pursed his lips, glanced at Amanta with complicated eyes, and responded heavily.

Amanta was slightly confused, but without thinking too much about it, she quickly stood up and gave Astoria her seat.

Astoria's face immediately broke out into a bright smile, as if the grievances just now were just an illusion.

"Thank you, Sister Amanta, you are so kind."

As she spoke, she lifted her robes and sat on the stool beside her, then turned her upper body and shook her smooth golden hair towards Draco.

The Sorting ceremony continued just as Astoria sat down next to them, and as they spoke, the second to last boy left in the freshman team was sorted into Gryffindor.

In other words, there was only one boy left in the freshman team.

Then, the Sorting Ceremony will come to an end.

Amanta looked past Astoria's golden hair in front of her and towards the podium. Astoria had her back to her and was whispering something to Draco eagerly.

Draco turned his head and supported his face, seeming to listen to Astoria, nodding from time to time with a smile on his lips.

When Amanta's eyes inadvertently swept across Draco's eyes, she realized that he had been looking at her.

The eyes were deep and dark, and seemed to have lost some of their former brilliance.

She stared at the owner of the pair of blue-gray eyes for a moment... There was some displeasure and coldness in that look, and it seemed that there was also some... blame?

Her heart inexplicably tightened, her brain went blank, and she seemed to have temporarily lost the ability to think.

She forced her eyes to slide past Draco's face and look at the boy walking towards the Sorting Hat on the podium.

"Hmm?" Amanta suddenly asked in a low voice.

Only then did she notice the boy.

He had always been standing at the back of the crowd, so much so that they had never noticed the boy.

The boy didn't look like a first-year student at all. Amanta looked between the boy and the long table for a moment.

Judging from his height alone, he is at least a third or even fourth grader.

Could it be that... some people mature so early? Or is it that Hogwarts has missed out on older students?

Soon her questions were answered.

Professor Flitwick smiled and waved his hand beside the Sorting Hat, saying to everyone, "Let us welcome Julius Hoffman, the transfer student from Durmstrang."

There was a burst of loud exclamations from the four long tables.

Professor Flitwick's words were like dumplings dropped into a pot of boiling water, and soon they began to roll around on the four long tables.

A transfer student from Durmstrang?

Bryce, who was sitting opposite Amanta, clicked his tongue twice and patted Crabbe on the shoulder.

"I'll bet ten Galleons that he'll be in Slytherin. How about that? Wanna bet?"
