Harry Potter: Glory Bows to Me

Chapter 168: A Feast at the Opening Banquet

Dumbledore changed his tone slightly and said, "I am very pleased to have two new teachers joining the Hogwarts faculty this semester."

"First, there is Professor Lupin, who has gladly offered to fill the vacant Defense Against the Dark Arts professorship."

After Dumbledore finished speaking, he turned his head and looked at Professor Lupin in the professor's seat and smiled. Professor Lupin stood up and waved to the students, while Snape next to him raised his chin slightly with a twitching expression.

Perhaps it was because the atmosphere in the hall was heavy and depressing after Dumbledore announced that Dementors would guard Hogwarts.

Or perhaps it was because the other teachers had worn their best robes to the start-of-term banquet, which made Professor Lupin look even more shabby.

In short, only a few scattered and sparse applause were heard in the auditorium.

Only a few students, such as Harry, who had seen Professor Lupin on the train, clapped enthusiastically.

But soon, Snape's cold eyes swept in his direction, and Harry had to quickly retract his head.

"About our second professor." Dumbledore waited until the applause welcoming Professor Lupin in the hall gradually subsided, and then continued, "I am very sorry to tell you one thing. Professor Kettleburn, our professor of Care of Magical Creatures, retired after the end of last semester."

"However, the position will be filled by none other than Rubeus Hagrid, who will be taking on the teaching position in addition to his duties as gamekeeper."

Hagrid staggered to his feet from the professor's chair, waved to everyone with a blushing face, looked down at his own big hands, and his mouth was wide open under his messy and tangled beard.

Harry shook Draco's shoulder in surprise, then looked over Draco's shoulder, who was frowning and smoothing the folds of his robe, at Amanta.

"I should have known! That weird biting book," he whispered.

Amanta smiled and nodded at him, then stretched out her hand to applaud with everyone else.

This time the applause was louder.

Amanta saw that after Hagrid sat down, he couldn't help but pick up the tablecloth and wipe his eyes.

After the applause died down, Professor Dumbledore began to speak again.

"Okay, now that the important things have been announced, let's start the banquet!"

As Dumbledore finished his words, the golden plates and goblets in front of them were suddenly filled with delicious food.

The tempting aroma of the grilled sausages in front of her directly seduced Amanta's hunger. The physical strength consumed by the long journey needed to be replenished at this moment. She couldn't help but pick up a grilled sausage and eat it with relish.

Just as she was immersed in the pure pleasure of enjoying delicious food for the first time in a long time, a boy's voice suddenly sounded in her ears.

"Excuse me...what's your name?"

The sudden greeting was nothing more than a fright. She almost choked. After coughing violently a few times, she turned her head to look.

Julius leaned forward, frowning, and looked at her with a conflicted and contradictory expression.

"Ahem..." Amanta picked up the apple juice beside her and took a few sips, "My name is Amanta Merlin."

When the thin-faced boy heard her name, a hint of surprise flashed across his face, but he quickly hid it skillfully.

"My name is Julius Hoffmann, please advise me."
