Harry Potter: Glory Bows to Me

Chapter 184: The Most Powerful Omen

"What is this?" Ron stroked his chin. "A hippopotamus?"

"No, it looks like... a sheep. A sheep."

Parvati denied in a low voice. She glanced at Ron warily, as if she was still wary of him because of Professor Trelawney's prediction.

"My dear." Professor Trelawney opened her eyes suddenly. "Child, this is...'unknown'--!"

"what?"

Harry asked, confused.

But as soon as Trelawney finished speaking, almost everyone present immediately covered their mouths in horror, with only a few exceptions - such as Thomas and Lavender, but it seemed that most students from wizarding families knew the meaning of "unknown".

"Unknown! Unknown--! My dear, it's unknown!" cried Professor Trelawney.

She seemed shocked to see that Harry hadn't understood at all.

"It is the great dog that haunts the churchyard! A great, grim dog! My dear child, it is... an omen—the worst omen—of death!"

Harry's expression froze and he slowly widened his eyes, as if he couldn't believe his ears.

He looked around at his classmates in bewilderment, as if hoping someone would tell him that Professor Trelawney was wrong.

But the classmates either opened their mouths or stared at him with eyes wide open, either worried or terrified, and no one dared to speak.

After he looked around, he finally looked at the person next to him - Amanta, who was closest to him.

Amanta was one of the few students who didn’t look horrified or panicked. She blinked at him, as if to tell him, “See, is that what I just said true?”

Amanta saw Harry's expression twitch slightly, as if he finally remembered what she had just said.

Harry was seen breathing slightly and gradually calming down.

Amanta watched his expression change rapidly, and soon he tried to speak: "Professor, do you mean... I am about to face death?"

Professor Trelawney touched her chest in sorrow.

"No, child, I don't want to talk about it any more - well..."

She slumped back into the armchair mid-sentence.

Harry continued to ask cautiously: "Professor, Professor? Is there no hope?"

"Child, the power of prophecy is beyond your imagination..."

Professor Trelawney still did not answer him.

"My dear...it will take me some time to accept this reality..."

Amanta suddenly spoke.

"Allow me to interject, Professor, that everyone will eventually die."

The grief on Trelawney's face gradually subsided. She sat up and looked over with a pair of huge eyes through the frame: "Child, although I just said that you are very talented, you still think too simply - the foreshadowing of death is not so simple..."

Amanta nodded solemnly.

"Yes, that's what I want to say. Everyone is mortal, and my dear friend, Harry, may face a battle with a mysterious man in the future. I can't believe such an ending..."

When Professor Trelawney heard the word "mysterious man", her expression suddenly changed, and a trace of panic flashed across her face.
