Harry Potter: Glory Bows to Me

Chapter 187: Smoothing Down the Spine of a Book

After Transfiguration, they followed the crowd and headed to the Great Hall for lunch.

They saw a sullen Draco again beside Syrio.

He scooped a bowl of stew with a spoon, thinking about something, not even noticing Amanta and Harry, and looking even worse than in the morning.

By the way, what courses did Draco take?

Amanta was certain that Draco had not taken Divination - because they had not seen him in Divination class.

The remaining two subjects... are Muggle Studies and Arithmancy.

It's easy to guess that Draco had definitely chosen Arithmancy - it was impossible for Draco, who hated Muggles so much, to choose Muggle Studies.

After lunch, they went to Care of Magical Creatures class.

The rain had stopped this morning. The sky outside was a refreshing light gray. The grass underfoot was wet. Amanta took a deep breath, and her mouth and nose were filled with the fresh scent of soil and plants.

Amanta and Harry walked down the grass slope towards a familiar place - Hagrid's hut at the edge of the Forbidden Forest.

Not long after they arrived, Draco also came over with a sullen look on his face, but this time he came alone.

Hagrid stood at the door of the hut waiting for the students, wearing his moleskin coat as always, with Fang the Hound standing at his feet.

"Come on! Hurry up, hurry up." Hagrid shouted as everyone approached. "We have something good today. Is everyone here? Come with me! This class is sure to be exciting!"

He led everyone to the edge of the Forbidden Forest, which caused panic among everyone - many people thought Hagrid was going to lead them into the Forbidden Forest. Fortunately, Hagrid just walked around the edge of the Forbidden Forest.

Five minutes later, a small paddock appeared in front of them, but there was nothing in it.

"Come here! Everybody, get over to the fence!" Hagrid shouted. "Make sure you can all see - now, open your books -"

"How do I open it?" Ron asked.

"Uh...?" Hagrid lowered his arm to greet his classmates. His expression was quite silly and cute.

"How do we open our textbooks?" Ron asked again.

Ron held up the book "Monster Book of Monsters" - he had tied it tightly with a thick hemp rope several times, but the book still shook unruly in his hand, as if it was very dissatisfied with the restraints it was under.

Seeing this, other students also took out their textbooks. Some clamped them with big iron clips, some wrapped them with magic tape so that their original appearance was almost invisible, and some put them in narrow bags.

"You... Can't any of you open the textbook?"

Hagrid asked dully, he looked very disappointed.

Everyone shook their heads.

At this moment, Amanta raised her textbook - the book was quietly spread out in her palm. Compared with other people's textbooks that were squeaking and biting, her "The Monster Book of Monsters" seemed very docile.

She smiled slightly as Hagrid's expression quickly changed from disappointment to surprise.

She wanted Hagrid's first lesson to go as smoothly as possible.

"Use your hand to stroke down the spine of the book--" She held up Harry's textbook beside her and demonstrated to everyone. After she gently stroked the spine of the book with her index finger, the book trembled and quickly opened up.
