Harry Potter: Glory Bows to Me

Chapter 218: A Portrait of Ravenclaw

With Luna's help, Amanta and her group quietly answered the questions about the eagle-shaped bronze door knocker and came to a corridor in the Ravenclaw Tower where Ms. Grey often appeared.

"There she is," said Luna in a disembodied voice.

Amanta read the direction of Ms. Grey from beneath her fluttering silver eyelashes.

From a distance, it was a slender young female ghost, with long light-colored hair curled to the waist and a long robe that dragged on the ground. Although it was only a back view, Amanta guessed that she must be very beautiful.

Amanta waved her hand, signaling Draco and Harry behind her to stop.

"If there are too many people, it might disturb her. You guys hide here first. I'll go and try to communicate with her."

Harry and Draco exchanged glances, then quickly leaned against a pillar and a cabinet, one on each side.

Luna watched their actions thoughtfully. For some reason, Amanta did not tell her the purpose of their visit.

Just as she was thinking about what reason to use to send Luna away, Luna suddenly said, "Okay, I'm going to my dormitory to remove those annoying harassment flies. They are really annoying. If you find harassment flies in your dormitory, don't forget to call me."

After she finished speaking, she hugged the book in her hand, shook the carrot earrings on her earlobes, and ran away skipping.

Amanta breathed a sigh of relief and walked along the corridor as quietly as possible. Fortunately, the corridor was covered with thick cashmere carpets, and even with leather soles, walking on it made almost no sound.

Not far away, Ms. Grey had her back to her and seemed to be staring at something in a trance.

As I got closer, the woman in front of me looked more and more familiar.

Amanta had some memory of her; she had encountered the apparition several times but had never spoken to her.

As she approached Ms. Grey cautiously, she thought carefully about how to strike up a conversation with her.

Ms. Grey was suspended a few inches above the ground, her eyes fixed on a portrait on the wall. Her jawline and neck formed a graceful arc, which also made her look a little arrogant and disrespectful.

Amanta followed her gaze.

The woman in the painting bears some resemblance to Ms. Grey, but appears older.

As she glanced at it, she felt that the painting was a bit strange. After taking a closer look, she realized that this portrait was different from most of the portraits in Hogwarts - this one was not enchanted, and like those portraits in the Muggle world, it was a motionless portrait.

Even so, Amanta recognized the woman in the portrait at a glance - Rowena Ravenclaw.

After all, she had seen many portraits of the four giants of Hogwarts in books, but this portrait of Rowena seemed to be more delicate and realistic than the other portraits. Whether it was the color or the light and shadow structure, it could be seen that the creator had put a lot of effort into it. Except for the fact that it could not be moved, this painting could be called a masterpiece.

Even though Ms. Grey has become a ghost, the way she looks at the portrait is still filled with deep pain and regret.

However, Amanta thought again and felt that it was precisely because of their regrets and resentments that they became ghosts who repeated their actions in their lifetime all day long.

"Did you draw this?"

Amanta asked softly.

She had wanted to ask if this was Ms. Grey's mother, but that would seem like she was just making conversation.
