Harry Potter: Glory Bows to Me

Chapter 230: Reluctantly Convincing Professor Snape

Amanta's words were like a stone thrown into a calm lake, instantly creating waves.

The cold wind blew through the shabby window frames, bringing with it the unique chill of the Hogwarts cellar, which made people shudder.

Snape's black robe trembled slightly, and his eyes were deep, as if trying to catch some answer in Amanta's gaze that shouldn't exist.

"If the caster dies, the curse he cast will become ineffective." Amanta's voice was calm.

Draco frowned, his Adam's apple rolling up and down, as if he wanted to say something, but the words stopped at his lips.

His light blond hair looked a little messy in the candlelight, but it couldn't hide the uneasiness in his eyes: "You mean - we can only remove the curse on the crown after the Dark Lord dies?"

Snape sneered.

"madness."

The sound cut through everyone's nerves like an icy blade.

"If you really have to wait until then, I'm afraid you won't even have the chance to unlock the secret of the crown - by then, the Dark Lord will have destroyed everything."

His tone was sharp, as if he wanted to tear apart Amanta's logical loopholes, but Amanta was not at all flustered. She looked directly at Snape with an unshakable determination in her eyes.

"Professor," she said in a gentle tone, but with a power that could not be ignored, "The operation of the Horcrux has its own rules, and these rules are precisely the key to our defeat of the Dark Lord. I learned from an ancient book about Horcruxes that once the soul is split, it becomes an independent individual - that is to say, we only need to destroy that piece of soul, which is Voldemort's body, and the evil curse on the crown will disappear."

She paused, her tone more resolute: "After this, we can use the ancient magic within the tiara to destroy the remaining Horcruxes one by one. This is the simplest and most feasible method."

Snape fell silent, his brows furrowed even more tightly, and he rubbed his temples with his slender fingers, as if to drive away the annoying noise.

Harry clenched his fists in his sleeves. He had been silent before, but now he seemed to have made up his mind: "Very good! Then this is our first step - to kill Voldemort's body!"

"The question is," Draco said in a low voice, "where is Voldemort hiding? However... he is still extremely weak at the moment. Perhaps this is our chance."

Snape finally spoke. His voice was low and sarcastic, with a deep weariness of all naive fantasies: "Chance? What you call 'chance' is nothing but a foolish adventure. Have you ever considered the possible price these theories might pay in practice?"

He paused, his eyes swept across everyone's face, finally stopping on Amanta.

His eyes were cold, yet like a bottomless pool of water, hiding complex and unspeakable emotions.

"However," Snape's tone suddenly changed, and he snorted coldly, "Since you are so persistent, I might as well see - how far you can go."

A light flashed in Amanta's eyes and she nodded slightly: "Thank you, professor."

"Starting tomorrow," Snape's voice returned to its usual coldness, "every night when you don't have astronomy class, come to my office and practice Occlumency."

"What about the Unforgivable Curses?" Draco suddenly interrupted, his voice revealing a hint of uncontrollable urgency, "Godfather, when can we learn it?"

Snape did not answer directly, but just said lightly: "It depends on your performance - if you can't even master the brain block technique, perhaps your plan is not as good as digging a hole in Malfoy Manor and burying yourself in it as soon as possible. It would be safer."

His taunts lashed at everyone's faces like a whip, but no one objected.

There was a suppressed tension in the air, mixed with determination and uneasiness, but Amanta slowly exhaled. She looked at her companions with a calm gaze. With them by her side, she was fearless even if the road ahead was full of thorns.
