Harry Potter: Glory Bows to Me

Chapter 251 Why not create new rules

In the evening, the gray-blue sky was gradually swallowed up by the night, the lights in the castle were lit one after another, and amber light flowed through the corridors.

The school library was about to close, and students packed up their books in twos and threes and walked out of the hall with light steps.

Suddenly, a low, crying voice came from below -

"Please, he didn't mean it..."

He was a young Hufflepuff student, with a pale face and an uneasy look.

Across from him stood a senior Ravenclaw student, wand in hand and with a stony look on his face.

Another child was lying on the ground, his clothes were torn and there were several unhealed scratches on his face.

Amanta recognized the injured student, Kai Bellman, a fourth-grade boy of unknown ancestry. His mother was a half-elf, and he had therefore always been looked down upon by some conservative students in the academy.

And at this moment, no one helped him.

"You should learn to recognize your position, Behrman, or stop showing off your pitiful magical talent in front of others." The Ravenclaw boy put away his wand and said in a emotionless tone, "Also, you'd better not think about going to the professor. They won't care about you."

After saying that, he turned and left.

Kai curled up on the ground, his fingers tightly grasping the stone slab, his messy hair covering his eyes.

Amanta lowered her eyes and watched the scene quietly.

She was not surprised that this happened. In Hogwarts, bloodline prejudice had never really disappeared. Even those who claimed to be righteous would selectively ignore certain people.

But this time, what really made her feel wrong was the silence around her.

A few students passing by just took a quick look and then looked away, as if it was just something very ordinary.

Even the two prefects standing far away did not step forward to stop them. Instead, they whispered to each other with a look that said "it's better to avoid trouble" and walked straight around the area.

——No one spoke.

——No one tried to help.

Amanta's eyes paused slightly, and a trace of emotion emerged in her heart, it was hard to tell whether it was coldness or disappointment.

Footsteps sounded behind her, slow and leisurely, just like usual.

"you saw it."

Julius' voice was low.

He stood beside her, looking calm, as if the conflict was just a preface to some academic discussion.

Amanta did not respond.

Julius walked slowly to the railing, folded his hands, and looked down at the scene downstairs with a hint of amusement in his eyes.

"Can justice save everything?" He asked calmly, his tone frighteningly gentle. "If so, why do those in power still let the powerless suffer?"

Amanta finally spoke, her voice cold: "What do you want to say?"

Julius tilted his head slightly, his eyes fixed on her, as if examining her expression.

"I just want to know how much hope you still have for the 'rule of light'." The corners of his lips slightly raised, as if he was genuinely confused. "Do you believe it? If you go down now, help him up, and report to the professor, what do you think will happen?"

Amanta did not answer immediately.

Of course she knew the result—

The professor might give a verbal reprimand, but the pure-blood families who truly hold power in the wizarding world will not allow any substantial punishment for such things.

The violent Ravenclaw might be made to copy, but it wouldn't really change anything.

Next time, something similar will happen again, but the victim will just be someone else.

She was silent for a few seconds, then slowly said, "So your answer is that the strong should dominate everything?"

Julius laughed softly, with a hint of helplessness.

"No, Amanta." His voice was low and slow, as if he was patiently explaining a very simple truth. "My answer is - if the rules can't change reality, then why not create new rules?"

He leaned slightly to the side, his eyes deep.

"You have that ability, don't you?"

Amanta finally turned her head and looked at him.

Their eyes met in the air, briefly but deeply.

Julius' eyes remained calm and composed. He did not rush to force her, but waited for her to come to her own conclusion.

Amanta could sense that there was no lie in his tone.

——This is the most dangerous place.

Julius's goal had never been to get her to blindly trust his position.

Instead, let her think for herself, question, and get closer to him step by step.

He didn't need to manipulate this incident, he didn't even need to lie, the facts themselves were enough to make her question everything.

She exhaled slowly and turned her gaze downstairs again.

Kai was still curled up on the ground, his eyes empty and desperate, while the Hufflepuff student beside him was still tirelessly comforting him, carefully extending his hand to support him.

Amanta knew she had to say something, do something.

Otherwise, she would really fall into Julius' logic.

So she raised her eyes and spoke in a calm voice.

"What about you? What rules did you create?" she asked softly, without any emotion in her tone. "Does everything you do really make the world a better place? Or does it just bring you closer to where you want to be?"

Julius was stunned for a moment, then he smiled.

This time, his smile carried a hint of depth, as if he had finally heard the answer he wanted.

He did not refute, but looked at her with an almost admiring look and said softly:

"You are really smart, Amanta."

Then he took a step back, gave an ambiguous smile, and spoke in a relaxed tone.

"But smart people still have to make a choice in the end."

After saying this, he turned and left calmly.

Amanta stood there, watching his back disappear at the end of the corridor.

The wind blew in from the window, blowing up her hair, but her fingertips were still pressed against the railing, not letting go.
