Harry Potter: Glory Bows to Me

Chapter 260 Doubt is the most deadly weapon

The waves of the Black Lake were as dark as ink. The night wind blew through the hall, leaving a low whisper in the shadows of the corridor.

Julius Hoffmann stood quietly by the window of the high tower, tapping the windowsill with his fingertips, his eyes fixed in the direction of the astronomical tower in the distance.

He narrowed his eyes slightly and a meaningful smile appeared at the corner of his mouth.

"It's really interesting..."

His voice was as soft as a whisper, revealing a hint of elusive emotion.

A few days ago, he personally created a rift, a conversation that was enough to shake the trust between Amanta and Draco.

His words were not binding, but he knew that true hesitation often came from doubt, and doubt was the most deadly weapon.

But the result?

He thought Draco would stay away from Amanta out of anger and jealousy, and even draw an insurmountable line between them.

But reality made a mockery of his expectations.

Draco and Amanta's relationship - not only did it not cool down, but it actually got further.

Over the past few days, he watched the interaction between Amanta and Draco, and the distance between them was gradually shortening.

Even in the shadows of the corridor, he had seen Draco lower his head and whisper in Amanta's ear, and Amanta...didn't push him away.

At that moment, Julius narrowed his eyes slightly and paused for a moment.

"It seems that I still underestimated them."

There was no joy or anger in his tone, only a hint of confusion.

He always likes to be in control of the situation and likes to watch the chess pieces on the board move according to the trajectory he arranges.

But this time——

The chess piece slipped out of his control.

But it doesn’t matter…

His plan doesn't end there.

The next day, the Hogwarts library was still as quiet as usual.

The tall bookshelves are filled with the scent of ancient books, and the soft sunlight shines through the stained glass windows, falls on the long table, casting a warm halo.

Amanta sat by the window, flipping through a book on the history of dark magic, her light blue eyes slightly narrowed, as if she was digesting the contents of the book.

"Regarding the current situation of the wizarding world... do you really think that your friends fully understand you?"

A familiar voice sounded in my ears.

Amanta paused, her eyes turned slightly cold, and she slowly raised her head.

Julius stood beside her, still with that gentle smile on his face, and slowly sat down opposite her as if he was chatting.

Amanta did not respond immediately, but just closed the book slightly and looked at him indifferently.

"what do you want to say in the end?"

Julius smiled softly, tapping his slender fingers on the table, his eyes meaningful.

"Your relationship with Draco seems to have taken a step forward recently." His voice was gentle, but contained a subtle test. "But do you really believe that he will always stand by you?"

Amanta's eyes sank slightly and her fingers slowly tightened.

"You want to sow discord?" she said in a cold voice.

"No, I'm just... reminding you of something you might have overlooked."

Julius leaned forward slightly, his eyes dark.

"Draco is the heir of the Malfoy family. His every move involves the interests of the entire family." He whispered, with a tone that carried a hint of reality that could not be ignored. "Do you think he is really willing to risk everything and stand on your side?"

Amanta said nothing, but her heart skipped a beat imperceptibly.

Julius caught her subtle reaction and the smile on his face deepened.

"If one day, your goals diverge from those of your friends, do you think Draco will choose you instead of his family without hesitation?"

Amanta's eyes dimmed for a moment.

"He is not like you, Julius." She spoke slowly, her voice steady, but her fingertips unconsciously stroked the pages of the book. "He will not easily betray his position."

Julius chuckled, his eyes dark.

"So, what about Harry?"

Amanta frowned slightly.

"Harry doesn't seem like a pure Slytherin. He won't really understand your ambitions." Julius said in a light tone, "He has a stronger sense of justice than Draco, but his sense of justice may not be consistent with your goals."

He paused for a moment and whispered, "Neither of them fully understands you."

Amanta's fingertips tightened slightly, and her breathing unconsciously slowed down a bit.

"What do you want me to do?" She raised her eyes, her tone full of vigilance.

Julius smiled slightly, a hint of satisfaction in his eyes.

"It's simple, Amanta - you can try telling them what you think and see how they react."

He narrowed his eyes and said in a soft and bewitching voice: "Look at how much they support you."

The air suddenly became quiet.

Amanta's eyes were deep, as if she was weighing something, while Julius stared at her quietly, with a smile on the corner of his mouth that showed a hidden sense of confidence in victory.

He knew that he had planted a seed in her heart.

He didn't need to see the cracks right away, he just needed to make Amanta question the trust she once had.

Once a crack appears, it will gradually widen until it cannot be repaired.

He slowly stood up, straightened his sleeves, and spoke in a relaxed tone as if he had just had an ordinary discussion.

"Looking forward to your answer, Amanta."

After he finished speaking, he nodded slightly and turned to leave.

Amanta sat there, staring at the pages of the book solemnly, without turning the pages for a long time.

She knew that Julius was using her.

But his words left a faint mark in her heart.

Is Draco really willing to risk everything for her?

Harry, will you really understand her choice?

Amanta closed her eyes slightly.

Julius had already started his game, and she... might have to step into it.
