Harry Potter: Glory Bows to Me

Chapter 277 The one who truly stands by you

As night falls, the dance at Malfoy Manor reaches its climax.

The crystal chandeliers reflected the wizards' luxurious gowns, the orchestra played melodious tunes, and the whole hall seemed like a gorgeous dream.

In the middle of the dance floor, Draco was surrounded.

Astoria stood beside him with a sweet smile, followed by several young ladies from aristocratic families, as if they had deliberately formed an encirclement.

She was wearing an ivory tulle dress, which made her look even more innocent. Her long golden brown hair fell softly on her shoulders, and her eyes held a hint of subtle charm.

"Brother Draco, you are really welcome tonight."

She gently took Draco's arm and spoke softly.

Draco froze slightly and tried to pull his arm back, but due to the attention from everyone around him, he had to lower his voice.

"Astoria, stop messing around."

"How am I messing around? Brother, you've danced several dances with Sister Amanta, don't you want to invite me to dance one?" Astoria blinked, her tone innocent.

The ladies around immediately came over.

"And me and me... Master Malfoy, can you dance with me?"

Draco's forehead twitched, and he tried to find a way to escape.

Amanta stood quietly beside the long table, shaking the wine glass in her hand gently with her fingertips. The silver liquid slowly slid down the wall of the glass, and her eyes swept across the crowd.

Not far away, Draco was surrounded by Astoria and other noble girls, looking a little impatient.

Astoria's laughter was clear and melodious, which particularly bothered her.

Amanta's brows knitted unconsciously.

She was just tired of dancing and wanted to take a rest for a while, but these ladies were so... impatient?

She didn't think she was someone who was easily affected by these things, but for some reason, Draco and Astoria looked particularly glaring tonight.

Maybe... this scene reminded her of some unpleasant memories.

"It's quite an unexpected sight, isn't it?"

Amanta glanced to the side and saw Julius was already standing beside her.

He was wearing a low-key black suit, which made him look tall and stern. His black hair was slightly drooping, and his pale skin exuded a faint gloomy aura under the candlelight. He also held a glass of wine in his hand, and his posture was casual yet elegant.

She didn't answer immediately, but took a sip of her wine.

"Have you been watching me?"

Julius smiled slightly, seemingly without any hesitation.

"I guess so. After all, there aren't many really interesting people at this dance."

Amanta raised her eyebrows slightly: "You are quite straightforward."

"I'm always like this, especially when it comes to smart people." Julius chuckled, slowly extended his hand, and made an elegant invitation gesture, "Would you like to dance?"

Amanta was slightly startled and looked up at him.

Julius's gaze lingered on her face for a moment, and his tone was meaningful, "You know? There may not be many people here who can truly understand you."

His tone seemed to have some kind of bewitching magic, slowly seeping into her ears, stirring up subtle waves somewhere in her heart.

Amanta paused slightly, her eyes falling on him calmly.

This sentence... is too familiar.

She knew—Julius was trying to influence her judgment.

She didn't say anything, but Julius seemed to have gotten the reaction he wanted, and the corners of his mouth rose slightly.

"What do you want to change, Amanta?" His tone was slow, with a kind of almost bewitching tenderness. "You want to make Slytherin stronger? Do you want to make this corrupt world different? But have you ever thought that the people who really stand by you... are actually very few?"
